[I MISS YOU, I'M SORRY]

2.02 || start planning a jailbreak

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia looks over at Derek with a confused frown when someone knocks on the front door and the werewolf just shakes his head with an equally confused expression on his face. But he makes no move to get up. "Oh, I guess I'll get it then." Aurelia says, slightly impatiently as she gets up, putting her book to the side.

"It is your apartment, technically." Derek remarks and she throws one of the pillows at his face as she walks around the sofa and over to the front door, sliding the chain across before pulling it open.

"Isaac? What are you doing here?" Aurelia asks with a frown as she lets him in. "Why are you wet?"

"Probably because it's raining." Derek says.

"Oh."

"What's wrong?" Derek asks, looking at the boy.

"My dad. I think he's dead." Isaac says and Aurelia looks back over at him.

"What did you do?" Derek asks immediately.

"That's the thing, it wasn't me." Isaac responds.

"Of course it wasn't. We didn't think it was." Aurelia says, looking at Derek pointedly. "Come on. You can dry off and then you can borrow something of Derek's to change into. And then you can tell us what happened." Aurelia says. "Derek, go get some clothes." Aurelia instructs as she guides Isaac down the hall and Derek puts his book down before following them both. "Bathroom's there, guest room's across the hall. Derek will stop by your place to pick some stuff up for you for the morning. We'll be in the living room when you're done."

"Oh, you guys don't have to-"

"No, it's okay. You're pack, Isaac. Pack helps each other." Derek says as he reappears with the clothes and Isaac looks between them for a moment before taking the clothes and heading into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

"Come on." Aurelia says gently, tugging Derek back towards the living room.

"You get anything from him?" Derek asks.

"Nah, he's completely freaked. Understandably." Aurelia says and Derek nods a little as she sits back in her previous spot on the sofa.

Aurelia rests her head on her hand as she opens her book back up on her lap, idly messing with the sewn-in bookmark. Derek glances up at her briefly to see her sitting with her head propped up on her hand and her eyes closed. "Aurelia?" He says lightly and she shifts up slightly, looking over at him with a hum. "You should go to bed. I can handle this." Derek says.

"No, it's okay." Aurelia says, shifting in her seat slightly.

"Aura, really. You've barely slept. Nobody's going to-"

"Derek, it's fine. Leave it." She cuts in and he hesitates briefly before nodding a little.

"Okay, sorry." He says and she sighs softly, running a hand over her face.

"No, I- You're right. I just-" She glances down at Arlo when he gently nudges her shin before scratching behind his ear.

"Nightmares again?" Derek asks and she hesitates before nodding a little. "Worse?"

"Well, they're definitely not better." Aurelia responds and Derek hums briefly. "Yeah, okay. I am going to go and get some sleep. Or try to, I guess. You know where I am if you need me." She says and Derek nods as she gets up, putting her book on the end table.

"Yeah, okay. I can handle this, don't worry." Derek says and she nods a little before heading out of the room with Arlo trailing behind her. He waits until he hears the bedroom door close before glancing towards the hall. "Isaac?"

The boy appears around the corner slightly sheepishly and Derek raises a brow. "She just looked super tired and I figured she probably wouldn't go once I was here. So, I thought I'd at least just let you try to convince her to go to bed." Isaac says and Derek nods a little.

"Probably a good call."

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia glances over at Isaac when he hesitates by the car door before closing it. "You can head in. Get to class. I'm just taking five before I have to deal with Coach. Or Stiles." Aurelia says and Isaac nods.

"Okay. Thanks again for the ride." He says and she nods with a small smile.

"Yeah, don't worry about it. Wouldn't have made you walk when we were going to the same place." She responds and he nods a little before walking up to the school.

Aurelia tilts her head back slightly against the headrest behind her with a soft exhale before pushing her car door open to get out and head up to the school.

"Lia! Hey!" The brunette sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose briefly before looking over at Stiles as he approaches. "So, Scott's convinced the full moon tonight is gonna be different than last time. Which I hope means better." He says and she hums. "Okay, look, I hate this. I hate fighting with you like this."

"Stiles, having this same conversation repeatedly isn't going to change anything. I have things to do. Scott can handle the full moon. It'll be easier. I'm busy tonight." Aurelia says.

"Okay, but he says he doesn't have the urge to maim and kill but what if he gets that urge tonight?" Stiles asks.

"Lock him up beforehand. I can't offer any more help than that, Stiles, I have other things to do. They take precedence." Aurelia says. "And hey, at least you don't have to worry about Peter getting him to kill you. You took care of that problem." She says and he sighs.

"I'm sorry, Lia." Stiles says.

"Yeah and I told you; not about the right thing." Aurelia responds and he sighs.

"Lia, he was trying to kill us. You want me to be sorry for stopping him from killing us?" Stiles asks.

"No. No, I'm not angry you were protecting yourself and your friends, Stiles. And if you don't see what was wrong with that situation and why I'm angry with you, I don't know how you expect me to help you." Aurelia says.

"How am I supposed to know what you're angry about if you won't tell me?" Stiles retorts and she sighs.

"Okay, I'm gonna say this once and that's it. I am not angry about what you did. I am not angry about why you did it. The thing I am angry is about is how you did it. That's the problem, the how. And I don't understand why none of you see what was wrong with how you did it." Aurelia says and he frowns slightly. "Now, can I get to work please?" She asks and he nods a little before moving out of the way and she continues into the building.

"You know what she's talking about, right?"

Stiles yelps slightly, turning around with a slightly startled frown to see Nike standing behind him and he frowns at her. "What? Where the hell did you come from?" He asks and she rolls her eyes.

"Do you really not know what she's talking about?" Nike asks.

"Aurelia?" Stiles asks and she sighs impatiently.

"Stiles, you guys threw a molotov cocktail at Peter. You set him on fire." Nike says and he frowns. "Oh, my God. Stiles, he was in the Hale House. That was literally the reason he was on a rampant killing spree. And pretty sure Aurelia's an empath. So, she felt everything he did. Both times he burned alive." Nike says and Stiles pauses, glancing over his shoulder briefly at where Aurelia had gone. "She doesn't care you killed him to protect everyone. She's upset you set him on fire to do it."

"I didn't even think about that." Stiles says.

"I gathered." Nike says and he turns back to look at her. "I thought you were supposed to be the smart one." She remarks before walking past him and he hesitates a little.

"You don't have to be such a bitch about it!" He calls after her.

"Try using your common sense and I wouldn't have to be!" She calls back and he scoffs lightly before following her up to the school with a frown.

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia sits at Coach's desk, grading papers with her chin propped up on her fist. She had meant to be helping out at practice (if you could call what she usually did helping) but Coach had insisted she stay and do marking or something else because she 'looked dead on her feet'. Which, yeah, it was the truth but she didn't really appreciate the honesty at this moment in time.

She looks up with a slightly startled frown when the door is suddenly flung open to see Stiles standing there, panting and out of breath as he leans on the doorframe. "What?" She asks.

"Isaac. Police. Field. You." He pants and she frowns in confusion before Nike appears behind him.

"The police just came and took Isaac from lacrosse field during practice and he told Scott and Stiles to tell you." Nike clarifies.

"Oh, fuck." Aurelia says, grabbing her things as she gets up, pulling out her phone as she rushes out of the office past them and Stiles briefly offers her a thumbs up that just makes Nike shake her head at him before walking away and leaving him there.

Aurelia dials the number for the landline in Peter's apartment as she heads down the hall. "Hello?"

"Derek, the police are questioning Isaac about his Dad's death." Aurelia says.

"Are they arresting him?" He asks.

"I don't know yet but they will if they find out his dad was hitting him. It'll give him motive." She says, glancing down the hall briefly.

"Well, can't you just talk to the Sheriff?" Derek asks.

"Oh, sure, I'll just tell him it wasn't Isaac and when he asks how I know, I'll tell him what? If I say anything about Isaac being with us, that's gonna raise a fuck ton of concerns and possibly just incriminate us too. And we can't help him if we're in prison with him, can we?" Aurelia asks.

"It's fine. As long as Isaac doesn't tell them about his Dad, nobody can. They're not gonna ask you and no one else knows, right?" Derek asks.

"I don't know, Derek. I don't know know every last thing that every single person in this town knows." Aurelia says. "Well, I think Jackson lives across the street from him, actually." She says after a moment.

"Okay, well, he's a kid, they can't hold him." Derek says.

"They can if they have evidence and a motive. At least overnight." Aurelia says.

"Well, that's not good. I've seen those cells, they cannot hold a freshly turned werewolf on a full moon." Derek says.

"No, no they definitely can't. Look, I'm heading to the principal's office, I'm gonna go and see if I can eavesdrop but if they arrest him, we're gonna have to get him out of there." Aurelia says.

"Jailbreak, sure." Derek says.

"We haven't got a choice. It's that or he murders half the Sheriff's station and outs supernaturals to the fucking town." Aurelia says.

"Okay, look, just find out if we have to do that. And then we'll worry about how we do it if we need to." Derek says and Aurelia slows down slightly as she heads towards the principal's office.

"Uh, change of plans. I'm not going in that office." Aurelia says.

"Why not? You work there. Just stay at the front desk." Derek says.

"Yeah, that's not the problem. Uh, the problem is that Gerard's in there for some reason." Aurelia says.

"Argent? I thought you were keeping track of him. How is he there and you're only just now noticing?" He asks.

"Well, I haven't exactly been on my a-game today, Derek. I was mostly trying not to listen to anyone." Aurelia says.

"Well, you don't have to go into his office-"

"Derek, I am not going in there. Because if we're being realistic, I go in there and see him, one of us is gonna end up dead and it's sure as hell not gonna be me. Police be damned. Which, admittedly might distract them from Isaac but won't help us because I'll be in prison with slightly more damning evidence against me." Aurelia says.

"Right. That's fair." Derek says after a moment.

"Okay, Scott and Stiles know, so, I'm going to wait until they inevitably turn up here. I think they've got Harris next so it'll probably take them all of five minutes to get themselves sent here." Aurelia says.

"Right, question. Haven't you been ignoring them and not helping them?" Derek asks.

"Yes, but Stiles keeps trying to make up for what happened so, that's not gonna be a problem." Aurelia says, glancing down the hall briefly.

"Oh, Aurelia, fantastic." The witch turns around at her name, frowning at Janice when she sees her standing in the doorway to the office.

"Yes?"

"Can you go get Jackson Whittemore for me? The police need to talk to him. He should be in Adrian's class next." She says and Aurelia nods with a smile.

"Yeah, sure." She says.

"Great, thank you." She says before heading back into the office.

"Well, that's unfortunate." Aurelia mutters as she turns to walk down the hall.

"Are you about to go and get the one person who can incriminate Isaac and hand him straight to the police?" Derek asks.

"Well, I can't just say no. It's my job." Aurelia says. "Fuck, okay. Start planning a jailbreak." Aurelia says.

"Yeah, on it." He says before hanging up

Aurelia sighs, running a hand over her face before heading down the hall. "Jackson!" She calls when she sees him walking out of the locker room with Danny and they both stop, turning to look at her. "You need to come to the front office. The police want to talk to you." She says.

"About what?" He asks.

"Do I look like the police? I don't know. Come on." She responds.

"Dude, it's probably about Isaac, you live opposite him." Danny says.

"Right, whatever." Jackson says before walking past Aurelia and she sighs before turning to follow him down the hall.

She steps into the office behind Jackson, glancing at the Principal's office to see the door shut with a slight frown as Janice takes Jackson through to Noah. "Hey, where's Mark?" Aurelia asks quietly, leaning on the front desk when Janice walks back.

"You weren't at the staff meeting this morning?" She asks and Aurelia shakes her head.

"I didn't even know there was a staff meeting. Why do I feel like Bobby should have told me?" Aurelia says.

"He probably should have." Janice responds with a light chuckle and Aurelia hums. "But apparently Mark stepped down. We've got a replacement. Argent, I think." Janice says and Aurelia nods a little. "Little weird, though. Nobody knew Mark was stepping down."

"Yeah, it is a little weird." Aurelia says lightly, glancing at the door briefly

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia lingers near the front office until Stiles and Scott turn up part way into the next period, moving to sit down on the seats beside them, resulting in slightly startled looks being cast in her direction. "Hey." Scott says.

"The police are talking to Jackson. Who's gonna tell them that Isaac's dad was hitting him." Aurelia says.

"But that gives them motive." Stiles says and she nods.

"Yeah, it does. Which means they're gonna arrest him. And tonight's a full moon." Aurelia says.

"We kind of thought you'd be in there or something." Scott says.

"There's not much I can do. And Isaac's crashing with me, so I need to limit the amount of connections that can be drawn between us for when we inevitably get him out." Aurelia says before a door opens in the office behind them.

"Oh, God, is that my Dad?" Stiles asks as he looks over his shoulder before scrambling for a magazine as he slumps in his seat, hiding behind it.

"Oh, yeah, now he'll never know it's you." Aurelia remarks dryly and Stiles flaps a hand at her briefly before raising the magazine when Noah steps out of the office, looking at the three of them.

"Hi, Scott. Aurelia." Noah says and she raises a hand briefly in a wave as Scott stutters out a greeting before Noah shakes his head at his son with a sigh before walking down the hall.

"I don't think you convinced him. But that's-" Aurelia stops mid-sentence and the boys both look at her with concerned frowns.

"That's what? Lia?" Stiles asks.

"I have to go. Try staying out of trouble, would you." Aurelia says as she gets up.

"Lia, you okay?" Scott asks.

"I'm fine. Just stay out of trouble." Aurelia says before moving to follow Peter as he walks around the corner.

She stops dead when she rounds the corner, looking around the empty hallway with a confused frown. She really didn't know what was going on anymore. The only answer she could come up with was that she was literally losing it but she wasn't a fan of that theory.

Aurelia sighs, running a hand over her face before shaking her head and turning to walk out to her car instead. She'd deal with this later. The situation with Isaac was a little more pressing than her apparent descent into madness.

She raises a brow when she gets out to her car and sees Derek standing beside it. "What are you doing here? Did you immediately leave as we were hanging up?" Aurelia asks with a frown.

"No. While we were talking." Derek responds and she rolls her eyes. "We're gonna grab Scott after the police take Isaac and show him Isaac's house."

"Why?" Aurelia asks.

"So he understands." Derek says and she frowns in confusion.

"I don't understand your logic, so I'll just drive the car and not ask any further questions." Aurelia says and Derek nods.

"Sure." He responds and she sighs.

"I don't wanna drive though, so," She holds her keys out towards him and he rolls his eyes briefly before taking them. "Thanks."

Derek hums, narrowing his eyes at her briefly and she just smiles at him in response. "You're acting weird. What's wrong with you?" He asks and she shrugs gently.

She could be honest with him and just say 'I think your Uncle is haunting me like an asshole to make me think I'm crazy' but she had a feeling that wouldn't go down all too well. And as unlikely as the idea was, she did not want to land herself in Eichen because people had genuinely thought she'd completely lost it. They thought she was crazy enough as it was, she did not need to make it worse for herself.

"I'm just really tired. All this shit is kinda taking it out of me, you know? When I'm already rarely sleeping more than two hours at night." Aurelia says and his expression softens slightly before he nods a little.

Oh, well, pity might actually be worse. Now she was wishing she'd just risked Eichen. Even the Closed Unit would be preferably to people doubling down on pitying her. That might actually drive her crazy.

"Come on. Get in. We need to get going." Derek says and Aurelia nods before walking around the car to climb into the passenger seat.

Derek pulls the car up outside the front door as the cruiser drives away. "Get in." He says, directing his attention towards Scott and Aurelia glances up to see him looking at Derek incredulously.

"Are you serious? You did that. That's your fault." Scott argues, gesturing in the direction the cruiser had gone, drawing a slightly frustrated sigh from the alpha.

"I know that. Now get in the car and help me." Derek requests.

"No, I've got a better idea. I'm gonna call a lawyer, because a lawyer might actually have a chance of getting him out before the moon goes up." Scott retorts and Aurelia frowns, tilting her head a little.

"Scott, I think it'd actually be better to let him get a court-appointed lawyer because you can't afford a lawyer and neither can he." Aurelia says, shaking her head a little.

"Lawyer aside, it won't matter when they do a real search of the house." Derek cuts in, sounding slightly impatient.

"What do you mean?" Scott asks, his brows furrowing slightly in confusion.

"Whatever Jackson said to the cops, what's in the house is worse – a lot worse." Derek responds.

"Will you just get in the car, please? So we can sort all of this out?" Aurelia requests and Scott sighs before making his way down to the car.

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia rolls her shoulders briefly, rubbing the back of her neck as she sits on the hood of her car outside the Lahey House, waiting for Derek to finish up with Scott inside.

She looks up before pausing with a frown when she sees Peter standing across the street as the front door opens behind her. "Aurelia, are we going?" Derek asks, standing by the car as she stares across the street, her head tilted a fraction. She hums briefly, glancing at Derek and he raises a brow at her. "Are we going?" He repeats and she nods a little, looking forwards again to the empty street.

"Yeah. Yeah, sorry. We can go." Aurelia says as she stands.

"Are you okay?" Derek asks.

"I'm fine. Just thought I saw something." Aurelia says and Derek stares at her for a beat. "I'm fine. Just get in the car." Aurelia says.

"It's just, you keep doing that. Staring off into the distance and–"

"Derek, I am fine. Let's just get going before Isaac shifts and outs werewolves to the entire station." Aurelia suggests, grabbing her phone when it buzzes. "Stiles wants us to meet him at the station. He's gonna wait in the parking lot." Aurelia says, frowning a little. "Do you think I'm maybe being too hard on him?" She asks, holding her phone out towards the werewolf and he leans forwards slightly to read the messages before he snorts.

"Maybe a little. But I don't necessarily think you should ease up either." Derek says and she hums as she pulls the phone back towards her.

"I just–"

"Why aren't you sleeping?" Derek asks and she looks up at him with a slight frown, shaking her head a fraction. "What's the reason? What's interfering with your sleep?"

"You know what. So, what's your point?" She retorts.

"Aurelia, you're allowed to blame them for what happened? I know you probably feel bad for it. But blaming them for it is entirely understandable. Because if it hadn't been for what they did, you wouldn't be dealing with nightmares nearly as bad as you are. Because they didn't think about the consequences of their actions or who they would impact beyond meeting their own goals." Derek says and she sighs, rubbing the back of her neck briefly.

"Look, can we just go help Isaac and talk about me and my issues later? I don't want to do this now." She says.

"That's half of the problem. You never want to have this conversation but you're going to have to at some point. Because you're going to have to come to terms with what happened and move on with your life. You spent six years centering your entire life around Peter. If you keep trying to do that now, you're just going to be miserable for the rest of your life. I know you've got to unlearn a lot of habits, but you're going to have to start at some point." Derek says.

"Oh, because you're the poster child for healthy coping mechanisms." Aurelia retorts.

"Taking it out on me because you're frustrated definitely isn't an example of a healthy coping mechanism." Derek argues and she sighs.

"This isn't the time for therapy with Aurelia. If you want to talk about this so badly, we can do it later when there isn't a potentially out of control werewolf in jail, Derek! Now get in the car so we can go." Aurelia says and he stares at her for a moment longer before sighing and climbing back into the car. "Thank you. Jesus Christ." Aurelia mutters as she slams her door shut.

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

"Okay. Now, the keys to every cell are in a password-protected lock-box in my father's office. The problem is getting past the front desk." Stiles says and Aurelia tilts her head slightly with a frown.

"I'll distract her." Derek offers and the other two immediately turn their focus to him to interrupt.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! You? You're not going in there." Stiles argues, stopping the werewolf with his hand on his shoulder. "I'm taking my hand off." He says after a beat.

"He's right. That's a terrible idea." Aurelia chimes in.

"I was exonerated." Derek argues and Aurelia frowns.

"Yeah, that's not necessarily why it's a bad idea." Aurelia remarks.

"You're also still a person of interest." Stiles adds and Aurelia hums.

"An innocent person." Derek retorts and she frowns.

"Innocent? That's what we're going for?" Aurelia asks as Stiles fumbles his way through a retort with, "An– You? Yeah, right!"

Derek looks between the two of them pointedly and Aurelia just shakes her head at the defiance. This was going to go terribly. "Okay, fine. What's your plan?" Stiles asks.

"To distract her." Derek responds and Aurelia frowns.

"That's not a plan. It's an instruction. It's also the bare minimum being asked of you here." Aurelia retorts and Derek rolls his eyes at her.

"Yeah, I mean how? By punching her in the face?" Stiles asks, his voice thick with sarcasm.

"Heh. By talking to her." Derek retorts and she frowns.

"What? You want to flirt with her? Because that's a horrible idea. You have never successfully flirted with a girl. Last time I saw you hit on a girl, you started sniffing her. And you weren't even being subtle." Aurelia says.

"She was a siren!" Derek argues.

"And what about that redhead you went on a date with in New York that broke up with you because you were sniffing her when you walked her home?" Aurelia asks.

"That one you have a point with." Derek concedes and Aurelia shakes her head.

"Okay. All right. Jesus. Give me a sample. What are you gonna open with?" Stiles asks and Derek just stares at the boy, eliciting a scoff from Aurelia as she shakes her head. "Dead silence. That should work beautifully. Any other ideas?" Stiles asks dryly.

"I'm thinking about punching you in the face." Derek responds, looking over at Stiles and Aurelia sighs as the boy frowns.

"This is the stupidest plan I've heard. And I've heard some stupid plans." Aurelia remarks idly. "Hell, I've made some stupid plans. This is worse."

"Alright, you know what? Snarky pessimism is not helpful right now." Stiles says to the witch and she shrugs a little.

"Why am I not just going in? They'd just let me walk right past." Aurelia says.

"Because I don't think you want to knowingly incriminate yourself when they let you in and then Isaac goes missing." Stiles responds and Aurelia hums softly.

"Suppose not. It would be easier thought." Aurelia says.

"We're gonna sneak in while Derek distracts the deputy on the front desk." Stiles says and Aurelia and Derek share a look briefly.

"Aurelia's not going to put any effort into sneaking, you know that, right? She's also wearing heels." Derek says, looking back at the teen.

"Well, let's just hope she's slightly deaf and not aware of her surroundings then." Stiles says and Aurelia frowns.

"She's not though."

"Oh, my God."

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

"Good evening, how can I help," She trails off slightly before finishing her sentence. "You?"

"Hi." Derek responds and Aurelia sighs, shaking her head.

"Hi." She responds.

"Um, I had a question," Derek starts. "Um, sorry. I'm a little- a little thrown. I wasn't really expecting someone-"

"Like me?" The deputy cuts in as Aurelia and Stiles walk inside, heading past the desk.

"Oh, I was gonna say 'so incredibly beautiful' but, yeah, I guess that'd be the same thing." Derek responds and Aurelia frowns, scrunching her nose up briefly.

"Why the hell is that working?" She whispers once they're in the hallway past the front desk and Stiles shakes his head.

"I don't know. Maybe she's like super desperate." Stiles responds and Aurelia hums briefly, opening the door to Noah's office when they reach it.

"Go on." She says, glancing down the hall briefly and Stiles steps into the room past her.

"They're gone."

Aurelia frowns, turning to look in the room when she hears Stiles' voice. "What?"

"The keys are gone. They're not here." Stiles says and she looks at the lockbox before turning around and looking down the hall.

"Put it back how you found it. And stay here." Aurelia says.

"What? Lia?" Stiles says, fumbling with the lockbox briefly before moving towards her.

"Stay here. The Argents' hunter is here." Aurelia says firmly, pulling the door shut before walking down the hall.

She walks down the hall with a slight frown, rounding a corner and stopping as she listens out for the hunter's thoughts, sighing slightly impatiently before heading straight towards the holding cells with a head shake. She glances at the alarm going off before walking into the room, grabbing Stiles' arm and hauling him up to his feet. "Thought I told you to stay put?" She says.

"I was helping." He counters and she sighs, pushing him out of the room and out of the way as Isaac attacks the hunter, grabbing him and slamming him into a wall.

"Stay here. I mean it this time." Aurelia says, moving further into the room and stepping on the needle, shattering it and drawing Isaac's attention around to her. Before he glances at Derek as he steps into the room behind her.

Isaac moves towards them both before Derek roars, eliciting a whimper from the boy as he scrambles to cower slightly from Derek. Aurelia sighs softly before moving over to him, crouching down in front of him as Stiles asks, "How did you do that?"

Aurelia gently rests a hand on Isaac's arm, using her empathy to calm him down some until he relaxes slightly. "You good?" She asks softly and he nods a little.

"I'm the Alpha." Derek responds, looking at Stiles and Aurelia just rolls her eyes briefly.

"Come on. Let's get you home." She says to Isaac before offering him a hand and he hesitates slightly, glancing back at the cell. "You don't need that. It's okay. I'll show you a couple ways to get control when we get home. Come on." She says gently and he nods before grabbing her hand, letting her help him up.

"What are we supposed to do about him?" Stiles asks, gesturing at the unconscious hunter.

"Uh, blame him for all this. I need you to handle your dad and any deputies so I can get Isaac out of here." Aurelia says and Stiles nods.

"Uh, sure, I guess." Stiles responds and she glances at Derek.

"If I teleport you to the car, will you drive it home? I'm gonna teleport straight home with Isaac." Aurelia says and Derek nods.

"Yeah, okay."

.·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·. .·:*¨༺ ༻¨*:·.

Aurelia and Isaac appear in the living room of Peter's apartment and she gently nudges him to sit on the sofa. "You want anything?" She asks gently and he shakes his head a little. She sighs softly before sitting down beside him, tucking a leg up beneath herself. "It wasn't your fault. First full moon as a werewolf is difficult. Especially when you're a bitten were. This wasn't how it should have gone. Attacking that guy was the best thing you could have done in that scenario." Aurelia says.

"It could have been you or Stiles if you hadn't have been moving him out of the way." Isaac says.

"But I was moving him out of the way. Don't stress yourself out over what could have happened. It's not going to help anyone. Everyone's fine. That hunter's probably going to have a hell of a headache but he'll be fine. You didn't hurt anyone else and you're okay. So, just count tonight as a win, because it was. You made it through your first full moon, nobody died and the only person to get hurt was a shitty hunter." Aurelia says gently and Isaac nods a little. "You just need to find something to focus on when you can tell you're losing control. Anything will work, sometimes I need it for when I do magic and I'll pick like, someone important or something important. You just need to figure out what's going to be able to ground you when your control's slipping. We'll work on some other ways later but for tonight, just try and focus on something to ground you. You should be okay for the rest of the night, though." She says.

"I don't know if I have anything." Isaac says.

"Okay, uh, give me your hand." Aurelia says gently, holding her hand out in front of her and he gently grasps it. "Okay, close your eyes, if you really focus, can you feel like a bond between you and Derek?" She asks.

"Uh," Isaac frowns a little and she watches him, tilting her head a little. "Barely." He says and she hums softly. "But I think there's a stronger one with you." He adds before she can speak and she hesitates slightly.

"Okay, okay, bare with me then," She says, closing her eyes before reaching out for the pack bond with her magic, using it to solidify the bond. "Your control starts slipping can you focus on that?" She asks and Isaac opens his eyes, frowning at her slightly.

"What is that?" He asks.

"That is a pack bond. Anyone in a pack will develop bonds with the other members of the pack. Typically you develop one with the Alpha faster but I guess maybe it's because you don't know Derek too well and you've known me for longer, so you've developed a stronger one with me. If your control starts slipping, try focusing on that. If I'm pretty grounded, it should help to calm you down too." Aurelia says gently and he nods.

"Okay, I think I can do that." Isaac responds and she smiles gently, nodding a little.

"Good, okay. Do you want something to eat? I know you want to crash but I can get you something to eat if you're hungry." Aurelia offers.

"I am a little. But I am just more wiped than anything." He responds.

"I'll order a pizza. If you want to go lie down for a little while, I'll come get you when it gets here. Any preferences?" She asks.

"I mean, I'm okay with a veggie pizza if that's what you're having." Isaac says.

"Well, I will, but Derek won't want that. So, you can have something else if you like." Aurelia offers and Isaac hesitates for a beat before shaking his head. She scans his face briefly before nodding with a slight smile. "Okay, go get some rest. I'll come get you when it arrives." She says and he nods.

"Thank you, Aura." He says and she nods.

"Of course. Don't worry about it, kid." She says gently and he gets up, heading through to the guest room he'd used last night.

Aurelia glances up when Derek walks in, watching him as he move over to sit on the sofa beside her. "I ordered pizza. It should be here soon." Aurelia says and he nods briefly. "Isaac can feel the pack bonds. Showed him how so he could use them as a temporary anchor until we can teach him about anchors properly." Aurelia says.

"Good, that's a good idea." Derek says and she hums softly.

"He could barely feel the one with you. And since he's a beta, that means it's something on your end that's making it faint. I told him it was because he didn't know you very well. Which could be part of it but also, you're his Alpha. You turned him. So, why is his pack bond with me stronger?" Aurelia asks and Derek sighs.

"I don't know." Derek responds and she narrows her eyes.

"Yes, you do. What's going on? Because he needs pack, Derek. You turned him so you would have a pack. So, why are you making that harder for you both?" She asks.

"You know what losing pack bonds with everyone felt like." He says. "I guess I'm just a little hesitant to make new ones after that."

"I get that, okay? It hurts. Like hell. But you need the pack bonds. Or you're gonna end up like Peter." Aurelia says gently and he sighs, nodding a little.

"I know. I know that. I just- Forming new ones is weird. Especially as an Alpha. I just need a little time to get used to it." Derek says.

"You have a little time. But the longer you put off solidifying them on your end, the harder it'll be. You need to make your mind up. Either you're ready to build a pack or you're not. If you're not, then you shouldn't be turning anyone else." Aurelia says and Derek nods briefly, looking over at her before someone knocks on the door. "Go get the food. I'll grab some plates." Aurelia says as she gets up and Derek stands, walking over to the door as he grabs some cash from the bowl by the door.

Aurelia passes Derek the plates, keeping one in her hands to make one up for Isaac, grabbing a couple slices of each. "Gonna go give this to Isaac. Put something on TV, would you?" Aurelia says as she heads out of the room. She knocks on Isaac's bedroom door, leaning against the doorframe when she hears shuffling in the room. She smiles at him when the door swings open before holding the plate out slightly. "Grabbed you some of each, just in case. You can come get some more if you want any. Or you can come sit with us if you like." Aurelia offers.

"This is okay. Thank you. Think I'm just going to stay in here." He says and she nods a little.

"That's okay. But just know you're always welcome to come out and sit with us. We don't mind. I could do with some better company than Derek." Aurelia says lightly.

"I don't know if I'd be better company than him." Isaac says.

"Course you are. Derek's a miserable ass most of the time. I'd rather sit with Coach and listen to him rant about lacrosse and Greenburg sometimes." Aurelia retorts and he smiles a little. "Apartment's free reign, you can stay here, you can come sit with us, you can eat dinner in the study. I don't mind. I just probably wouldn't do it in the bathroom." She says lightly.

"Thank you." Isaac says and she nods. He hesitates for a beat before putting the plate down on the dresser beside them and wrapping his arms around her for a hug. "I mean it, thank you."

"Yeah, don't worry about it." Aurelia says as she gently squeezes his shoulders and he shifts back before grabbing his plate.

"Gonna stay in here tonight but I might sit with you guys next time." He says and she nods.

"Whatever you feel like. No pressure." She says and he nods before she moves away from the door so he could shut it again, heading back through to the living room to sit with Derek. "Oh, for the love of God. This is why you're not allowed to pick what movie we watch normally." Aurelia complains when she sees the TV.
