You're Sorry?

Turning 28 is apparently a big deal. Tyler really wanted us to have a party and invite everyone over. That's the main reason I agreed to throw the party; I haven't seen any of them in a while. I didn't lose touch, we still call each other to check up on each other but that's pretty much it. Not including running into them at public places.

I also had to tell Tyler something and having everyone here would make it ten times better.

We set up everything inside because it was raining/snowing outside and we clearly weren't going to have everyone sit in the rain/snow. Especially because Brock and Lauren have a 2-year-old.

Tyler put out the cupcakes and a very fancy wine. I laughed as he kept moving it, not sure where it would look better.

He turned to me and playfully glared, "Stop laughing at me."

"We are you being so picky?" I asked walking to him. He turned and I wrapped my arms around his neck while he did the same around my waist.

"Because we haven't seen them in forever and I want to make a good impression." He said, "Plus, I like showing off."

I laughed at that and we share a sweet, passionate kiss. We pulled away and smiled. I pointed at the wine on the table and said, "Move it over to the left a bit."

He laughed, "Shut the fuck up." Then kissed me again.

We heard the doorbell ring throughout our house and we pulled away. I fixed my outfit and walked to the door. I looked back at Tyler and he had the biggest and goofiest smile on his face.

I chuckled and open the door to B.R.I.A.N. and Craig. They were nicely dressed and had really big smiles on their faces. They had little wet spots mainly on their shoulders due to the rain/snow.

"B.R.I.A.N.! Craig!" I shouted, motioning for them to come in, hugged them along the way.

Tyler walked over and hugged them too, "God, I missed you guys."

I smiled as we started talking for a little bit. Mainly about what we've all been doing with our lives since we decided to move out.

Tyler and I thought it was time to get our own house so we moved out soon after Bryce recovered from the bullet incident.

The doorbell rung again and I walked to the door. I opened it and met Marcel, Simone, Scotty, and Chrissy.

"Hey!" I said and hugged them as they came in. Simone and I nearly squished each other

The doorbell soon rang again so I opened it to Brock, Lauren, and little Y/N shouting, "Happy birthday!"

I laughed as Y/n made grabby hands at me. I took from Lauren and said, "Thank you."

Yeah they named their child after me. I tried to tell them that they really didn't have to, but they clearly didn't listen. I was flattered, but I honestly didn't see the need for them to name her after me. Lauren said it was because I saved both their lives but I still feel like they shouldn't have done it.

I moved out of the way so they can walk in. I hugged them as they walked by and Lauren suddenly gasped, "Chrissy!"

Everyone turned to her and she looked confused, "What?"

"Are you gaining weight or is that what I think it is?" She asked, pointed at her.

She was wearing a somewhat tight dress and that's when I noticed the small bump on her stomach. She smiled and put her hand on it, "Damn, got spotted by the expert."

Everyone smiled and clapped for the new mother and father.

"Scotty, are you even cut out to be a father?" Tyler joked.

"Guess we're going to find out." He answered, making everyone laugh.

I looked at little Y/n. She had Lauren's brown eyes and peach lips and Brock's face shape and curly hair. "Guess who's gonna have a new friend."

She giggled and I put her down when the doorbell rang yet again. I walked over to it as she ran to the group of adults.

Opened it to Jon, Luke, Bryce, and Evan. We all smiled and I dramatically motioned them to come in, "Gentlemen."

Evan walked in first and bowed, "M'lady."

Jon walked in next and put his arms out. I hugged him and he said, "It's good to see you again, Y/N."

He walked to the other and Luke walked in. I closed the door behind him and Bryce and we hugged. "Happy birthday."

I smiled as we pulled away and I said, "I've missed you and your glorious beard."

He stroked it and said, "It is quite glorious."

Bryce then hugged me too and said, "How does it feel to be 28, ya old lady?"

"How does it feel to finally be 24, ya baby face?" I said.

We laughed and he walked to the group and hugged the ones he hasn't seen in a while. The bell rang again and I opened the door. David, Jaclyn, Lui, and Emily stood there.

"Y/N!" They all chimed in.

I motioned for them to come in and hugged them as they did so. I was about to close the door again when another car pulled up. Melina and Anthony rushed to the house and I welcomed them with a big hug.

"Sorry it's raining/snowing on your birthday." Melina said.

I shrugged, "It not that bad, I've got my friends and that's enough."

She smiled and Anthony said, "Happy 28th birthday. How do you feel?"

I smiled and said, "Great. The feeling of getting old is tremendous."

I closed the door for the final time and walked to everyone else. We all got into little groups and had our own conversations. What I mean by groups is that all the guys were talking in one group while the girls were in another. We were in the kitchen and talking about Chrissy's baby.

"How long have you been pregnant?" Lauren asked.

"Four and a half months now." Chrissy nodded.

"Gender?" Melina asked.

"We're not sure yet but I'm hoping it's a boy." She smiled.

"How does it feel to have another living being in you?" Jaclyn asked.

"What the hell kind of question was that?" I asked.

We all laughed and she shook her head, "You know what I mean."

After Chrissy was done laughing, she said, "I'm always fucking hungry and I get nauseous a lot."

"It pays off in the end," Lauren said, "I swear."

Brock was holding little Y/N in the other room. I think she's tired but with all the people around she's been trying to stay awake and socialize.

After she nodded, Emily asked, "Do you think Scotty will be a good dad?"

She smiled, "Yeah. He's actually really good with kids. His patience might be a problem but other than that, I think he'll be the perfect father."

"Awe..." Everyone cooed.

"Yes, I know," Jon said as he walked in, "I'm adorable."

We laughed and he grabbed the tray of shrimp. "Oh, Tyler wants everyone in the front room in a little." He said.

I raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

He shrugged as he walked out, "Said he had a present for you."

I knotted my eyebrows, clearly I didn't know he had a present for me. Is this why he wanted to throw a party?

"Do you know what it is?" Simone asked.

I shook my head. "But I wanna find out." I said as I walked into the living room, the laughing women following behind

We got in there and Tyler was nowhere to be found. I walked over to Jon, who was talking to Bryce and said, "Liar."

"I said in a little, not automatically." He defended himself.

I playfully rolled my eyes, "So what are you too talking about?"

"Bryce is going to go see Ryan tomorrow." Jon answered.

"Yeah," Bryce said, "I can't wait. I haven't seen him since last month."

"I haven't seen him since...well you know." I said.

They nodded. "I asked Jon if he wanted to come with but he's got work." Bryce added.

"I actually kind of want to pay him a visit." I said, "The offer still on the table?"

He nodded, "I would love it if you came, but why?"

I shrugged, "I honestly just want to see if he's changed."

He nodded understandingly and was about to say something else but Tyler interrupted by saying, "Okay, Y/N, sit on the couch."

I turned and he had a medium sized box in his hands and a huge smile on his face.

"Oh god." I commented as I made my way to the couch, sitting next to David.

He continued to smile like an idiot as he made his way over to me. He sat on the coffee table in front of me and handed me the gift. He put his elbows on his knees and rested his hands in between his fists. "Open it." He chirped.

I looked at him then at everyone else. They all looked really happy and confused.

I slowly opened it, not knowing what to expect and haft way through me opening the wrapping paper, I heard a tiny meow. I widened my eyes and looked at Tyler, "You didn't."

"Oh," he said, "but I did."

I opened it all the way and was met face to face with a little white kitten. It had long, fluffy fur and bright blue eyes.

"Awe..." Everyone in the room cooed except Tyler.

I picked it up and held it close. I looked at Tyler and said, "Thank you."

He smiled, but the moment was ruined by David saying, "I thought it was going to be lingerie." Everyone laughed at the comment.

"I wish." Tyler said, making everyone laugh more.

"I bet you do." I said.

"You know I do." He smirked.

I playfully rolled my eyes and laughed, "Burn in hell."

He chuckled, grabbed the kitten and gave it to little Y/n who was quietly watching, not sure what was going on. He scooted to the edge of the table. He reached into his pocket and said, "Not without you." He then proceeded to get on one knee on the floor. He brought his hands to the front of him and had something in his hands.

I covered my mouth, hoping this wasn't a dream. I felt tears form up in my eyes but I'm not sure why. Probably because the man I've loved for eight years is asking me a question that will officially commit us to always be together.

I'll say this, I've never seen a room of people pull their phones faster than the speed of light.

"Y/n M/n L/n," he continued, "will you marry me?"

I nodded, but kept my hand over my mouth. He grabbed it and slipped the ring on. I honestly wasn't paying attention to it, I was paying more attention to Tyler. He was tearing up too and he had the happiest face I have ever seen.

"Don't you cry." I said even though I started it.

"I can't help it." He said and wiped his eyes, "I'm just so happy."

Another round of awes filled the room and Marcel, Simone, B.R.I.A.N., and Craig yelled, "Finally!"

We laughed and I grabbed the sides of Tyler's face and kissed him. We pulled away and I hugged him, nearly squeezing him to death.

"I love you." We said at the same time.

"Talk about the death of a bachelor." Luke commented.

"They're not married yet so he's still a bachelor." Brock explained.

We stood up and got congratulated, but Evan jokingly said, "Wow, what a show off."

I laughed and looked at him, "Yeah, but I know how to steal the attention."

Everyone chuckled. "Now how are you going to do that?" Lui asked.

I walked over to Chrissy and threw my arm around her shoulders and said, "Let's just say Chrissy's not the only one expecting."

Everyone's eye widened and jaws dropped. I laughed and Scotty said, "Tyler, are you even cut out to be a father?"

He looked at Scotty and said, "Hell no."

Everyone laughed and I got a few hugs and a few more congratulations. I hugged Bryce and Tyler said, "How long have you been pregnant?"

I laughed, "About a month. I was going to tell you privately but you really wanted to throw this party and I was like, 'Yes, everyone shall know.'"

Everyone laughed and Tyler walked to me and we shared another kiss.

"Okay," Anthony said, "are all the surprises over?"

I looked at Tyler to see if he had anything else and he shook his head and looked at me, "You?" I shook my head and looked at everyone else.

No one had anything so we just carried on with the party until it was about midnight. I hugged everyone as they left and discussed the details about visiting Ryan with Bryce before he left.

I closed the door and turned to Tyler. I crazily walked over to him and said, "I love you!"

He did the same to me till we met in the middle and kissed, "I love you too!"

~

We stood in front of the prison and Bryce looked at me, "You sure you want to see him?"

"Unless he's still an ass then no." I said, "But the only way to know is if I go in."

I walked to the door and Bryce followed me. After we talked to the lady and waited for a bit, they called us to the back and patted us down, not finding anything. We walked into some kind of cafeteria type room and we sat at the table the guard told us to sit at. He said that it might take a while so we sat and talked about nothing too important.

Our conversation came to an end when another door opened and four guards walked in. In between them was Ryan. His hair was a bit shorter since the last time I saw him and he smiled when he saw Bryce, but hesitated when he saw me. The guards sat him down and walked to the side of the wall.

"Y/n. Bryce." He said, nodding his head at who he was talking to.

"Ryan." I said.

It was awkward for a long time and he finally said, "Can I just say I'm so sorry. I-I know you probably don't care but I don't know if I can continue on until I tell you I'm so sorry."

I smirked, realizing he was seriously sorry for what he did. "It's okay." I said.

"No, it's not." He continued, "I was never excepted in high school and I held that grudge for far too long and...everything that happened was because of me and..." He shook his head and sighed, clearly ready to cry, "Everyone I've ever loved or cared about left. For the longest time, I had nobody. No one was there when I cried; No one was there when I was sick; No one was there when I needed help; Most importantly, no one was there when the incident happened."

"The incident?" I questioned.

He pointed to the back of his ear, where the scar was. "It's a long story and it was a long time ago so I'm not going to explain it, b-but it traumatized me and no one was there. That's why I started doing what I did. I-I know it's no good reason, b-but that's what was wrong with me a-and I'm just...so sorry."

"Ryan," I said, "seriously, its fine. Yeah what you did clearly wasn't the smartest thing, but it's over. You're clearly not ever gonna do it again. Plus, it was a long time ago, so we can all just let it go."

He nodded, "Well, I didn't say sorry so we could be friends or anything, I honestly feel like I need to say it at least once in order to move on in my life."

I nodded in understanding, "I can forgive you, but you can't do any of that shit that you used to do."

"Oh believe me," he said, "I will never, ever, even think about doing it again."

He was serious. He wasn't acting and it was obvious. If he was, Bryce would've jumped in. Plus, I've seen him lie once already, I think I can tell if he tried to again.

After an hour or two of talking to him, the guards said his time was up and he had to go. He got up and hugged Bryce. He waved to me as he left. Once he left, the guard that lead us in lead us right back out again.

We walked to Bryce's car and when we got buckled up, he said, "You know, you would've made a really good hero."

I gasped and held my chest like I was offended, "How dare you!"

He laughed and said, "Seriously. You seem too nice and get along with people fine. How did you ever become a villain?"

I shrugged, "I guess it was just the way everything happened." He nodded and started the car. He backed up and I added, "Plus, I prefer the bad boys."
