Vansh returns
Finding a familiar face Swara walked up to them. Looking at Swara, that person exclaimed.
"Swara, what are you doing here?"
"That should be my question Sanskar. How did you come here and why didn't you tell me?", asked Swara being surprised about seeing him there in Goa.
"What, Swara...I am...", before he could complete Swara interrupted looking at him from top to bottom.
"I have never seen you in shorts and this sleeveless shirt. Oh my God, you look very different", chuckled Swara, and just then a girl in her swimsuit came towards them.
"Vansh, let's go, the bill is settled"
"Here you go Swara, I am Vansh, not Sanskar", answered Vansh looking at Swara's questioning face.
"Oh my God, you are Vansh...Sanskar's brother. He never told me that you both are identical twins", replied Swara this time confusing Vansh.
"Swara, what are you saying. You know that I and Sanskar look alike since the day we started dating", said Vansh not understanding what's wrong with Swara.
"Oh, so she is your ex-girlfriend", exclaimed the girl who came to take Vansh.
"Ya Kathy, she is Swara and Swara, she is my girlfriend Kathy", introduced Vansh looking at Swara carefully to see whether she moved on or not.
"Hi Kathy, nice to meet you", greeted Swara before turning towards Vansh.
"Vansh, is it true that I dated you? I don't remember anything"
"Of course Swara, we were together for two years, and then we...we parted ways you know....", stuttered Vansh not knowing how to complete his sentence, so he hastily added.
"Don't you remember anything?"
"Actually I met with an accident six months back and I lost my memory", replied Swara and this information hit Vansh hard.
"Oh my God Swara, I am so sorry, I knew about your accident but didn't know that you... you...", stuttered Vansh not able to take in the fact that his one mistake which he took out of frustration had erased Swara's memory.
"Now, leave about that. First, tell me if you knew me, even Sanskar would have known me right? Why didn't he tell me anything about it?", Swara thought aloud.
"I don't know", shrugged Vansh.
"Vansh, can you tell me everything about us since the day we met till our breakup. Please I need to know about my past", requested Swara and Vansh agreed hesitantly not having the heart to say no to this innocent soul.
"Kathy, can you please give us some privacy?", asked Vansh.
"Sure, just give me a call once you are done", replied Kathy before leaving them alone.
Swara and Vansh took the nearby seats and Vansh started narrating their love story.
Flashback: (three years back)
One evening, Vansh was returning back from the movie theatre, he heard a choas from a store and automatically his attention turned towards the sound. As he peered in, he found quite a few people surrounding a small stage on which there stood a girl in a black dress smiling brightly speaking something to the people. Vansh stood there dumbfounded by the profound beauty and involuntarily he started walking into the store.
"Sir, the author of this book is here. If you buy this book now, you can get it signed by her", said one of the salesgirl and not thinking much Vansh bought the book and joined the crowd.
Everyone was going on to the stage one by one along with the book to get it signed. As Vansh reached the stage, the girl smiled and forwarded her hand for the book but Vansh gave his hand and shook her hand with a smile.
"Hi, I am Vansh"
The author just smiled and greeted, "Hi, I am Swara".
"And you are an author?", asked Vansh.
"Yes I wrote the book in your hand", replied Swara feeling a bit awkward.
"Congratulations. Can I get your autograph please?", requested Vansh and forwarded the book while Swara signed on it and returned it back with a smile saying "Happy reading".
Vansh just nodded, smile not leaving his lips. As the people behind him were becoming restless, he got down the stage and waited there till the event is over.
After the people left, Swara got down the stage collecting her things.
"Hey Swara, I see you are tired. Would you like to have some coffee?", asked Vansh walking up to her.
Swara looked up surprised.
"Excuse me, I don't drink coffee with strangers", replied Swara walking away.
"But we met before and you gave me your autograph too", shouted Vansh following her.
Shaking her head in denial, she moved out of the mall and went on her way. Even Vansh went back home all in smiles lost in the thoughts of Swara.
In the night, lying down on his bed, Vansh started reading the book written by Swara. On the first page, he found Swara's email id, and in a wish to stay in touch with her, he woke up all night to finish the entire book. The next morning, he sent an email to Swara.
"Hey, Swara,
I hope you are doing well. I read your story "We are meant to be together" and indeed it is a beautiful narration of love between three couples. Especially, I liked the female characters who are brave yet innocent and sweet. The bond between the brothers who are united by heart was exemplary. I could really connect to most of the situations.
So, I just wanted to say that I loved your story and I am looking forward to staying in touch with you for receiving updates on your work further.
Best Regards,
Vansh"
Vansh kept sending her emails regarding her characters and romantic situations between them. Initially, Swara was hesitant looking at his profile picture but then not finding any harm in replying, she emailed back after all she is an author and which writer doesn't love to receive appreciation from readers. So slowly they became good friends and exchanged phone numbers.
Swara's looks attracted Vansh while his way of speaking, his care has made Swara fall in love with him without thinking much about his career or character. With each day passing, they both started spending so much time together and Swara started imagining her life with Vansh.
Flashback ends as Swara stops him
"Hold on Vansh, can we focus more on my meeting with Sanskar. I mean I want to know how was my relationship with him", asked Swara not wanting to get into the details of her relationship with Vansh. Those are better forgotten now that her future is Sanskar.
Before Vansh could reply, Swara's mobile rang, and looking at the caller id, her face beamed with a smile. She immediately answered.
"Hey Sanskar"
"Hi Swara, did you have lunch?"
"Ya Sanskar, and I am very angry with you. Why did you hide it from me?", asked Swara thinking to tease him. Hearing which Sanskar's heart skipped a beat.
"What...Swara. What are you talking about?", stuttered Sanskar pushing away all the negative thoughts.
"I know that we met before my accident and you didn't care to tell me that"
"Oh my God, did she remember everything?", thought Sanskar before speaking to Swara.
"Are you...are you alright Swara?", again stuttered Sanskar with sweat forming on his forehead imagining Swara's condition right before her accident. No, he doesn't want to see her in that state again.
Understanding that he is getting worried, she decided to end her teasing.
"Relax Sanskar, I just met your brother Vansh here. He was telling me all...", Swara was interrupted by Sanskar's shout.
"Stay away from him Swara. Didn't I tell you not to talk with strangers?"
"But Sanskar he is your brother", Swara tried to calm him down but he again shouted.
"Brother my foot. Is he still there with you?"
"yes"
"Give the mobile to him", shouted Sanskar, and Swara just forwarded it to Vansh.
"Hey Sanskar", even before Vansh could greet completely, Sanskar shouted.
"Don't you dare harm her Vansh. I will kill you if you even try getting near her"
"Relax bro", saying Vansh moved a little farther from Swara so that she doesn't hear their conversation and he continued.
"My intention was never to harm her Sanskar. Even that day, I tried to convince her that it's over between us but she was not moving on and was pestering me, I didn't have any option rather than to rush out from there in my car. In that process, I didn't see when she was holding the car handle, and as I increased the speed she just fell down. I didn't know that she got such a major injury. If I had known I would have taken her to the hospital", said Vansh defending himself.
"Really, didn't I tell you hundred times that Swara doesn't seem to be like any other girl you brought home? Didn't I tell you not to give her hopes? Poor girl, she imagined her future with you and what you did, you just broke her heart into pieces"
"Oh so now are you trying to fix it. I never thought this girl means so much to you. Are you in love with her Sanskar?"
"That's none of your business"
"Exactly, you have no right to say what I should do in my life. And by the way, I never said her that I am going to marry her. It's she who was serious about our relationship"
"Vansh, I don't want to get into all this again. Just do me a favor and stay away from her"
"Relax brother, this time she is all yours. I don't have any intention of getting back to her and dealing with all her mood swings and high expectations"
"Vansh, mind your tongue" before Sanskar could complete his sentence, Vansh disconnected the call with a smile thinking that his brother is still the same preaching all the values.
"He loves you a lot", said Vansh handing over the mobile back to Swara.
"He does", replied Swara blushing.
"Swara, I have some things planned up for this evening. I have to leave", said Vansh looking at his watch.
"Oh anyway, I should also go back to my room and try to pacify Sanskar. He seemed to be very angry", said Swara and they both walked out of the restaurant.
"Vansh, a small question. You said we met in a book store in my book launch event right?", asked Swara remembering her movie date with Sanskar.
"Yes"
"Is the store in the shopping mall which is in Malad?", asked Swara.
"Yeah Swara, why?"
"Nothing Vansh. See ya", saying Swara walked to the resort she was staying with her friends. Vansh too called Kathy to pick him up from the beach.
