- Really? There isn't a person you want to see. You can... You can die at any moment.

Instantly in his mind, Winter saw sand-colored hair lightly golden from the sun, an amber earring, and soft, warm eyes gazing gently at him. He saw his best friend Qibli. "Why do you think of him, he left with Moon, he will never be with you". For a long time, Winter had known that Lune would choose Qibli, so he broke away from it. But when he started to look at anything other than the night wing, his eyes immediately fell on the sand wing. He realized he loved her even more than Moon. "But where is the world going, seriously. A night wing and now a sand wing". But now it's over. He left with Moon breaking her heart. So he had fled and once alone, had done the irreparable: attempted suicide. He had overdosed on several powerful drugs. Nocturne arrived at that moment and saved her narrowly. At least, for now. Winter was getting weaker day by day. Suddenly, everything became hazy and dark.

- q...qib..Qibli. he said before closing his eyes

- Winter....Winter. Nocturne called. But it was too late, Winter had fallen into a coma.

Qibli's world became a blur as Nocturne spoke. Each word was like a dagger sticking in the sandwing's chest. He couldn't swallow them. Her eyes were getting wet and big tears were rolling down her cheeks. "No it's not possible, it's not true, it's a nightmare and I'm going to wake up." Qibli took a lock of hair and pulled hard. The pain was present. The vision grew dark and Qibli felt he was fainting. But the moment he lost consciousness, someone caught up with him and yelled his name. And then total darkness.

~ 1 hour later ~

The sun entered the infirmary and settled on Qibli. The one painfully opened his eyes and looked around. Kinkajou, Triton, Lune and Nocturne were there, but also an unexpected person. Queen Thorn.

- By all the moons QIBLI.

She bent down and hugged her son tight enough to choke him. She cried a lot. Kinkajou, whose hair was white and green, instantly changed to a bright, blinding yellow. Nocturne heaved a sigh of relief, then regained his seriousness and leaned forward.

- We have to go.

- Go where? Asked Thorn

- Go to the emergency room to see Winter.

After making sure he could go, Qibli got up and followed Nocturne. Once outside, he called a taxi and got in. The journey seemed to take forever. Qibli looked through the window. The sky was covered with big black clouds and the sun had disappeared. The rain was falling hard on the car window. And finally, the car stopped in front of the emergency room. It was with trembling legs that Qibli followed Nocturne down the halls. They approached a lady with red hair who directed them to Winter's room. And then came the moment Qibli had been waiting for: to see his friend again, his hidden love. Slowly, he turned the doorknob and opened it. And he was shocked. Winter was lying down, very thin and barely breathing. He looked exhausted and sad as he had big marks that looked like streaks of tears. He was nothing like the Winter Qibli knew: strong, muscular, handsome...and very grumpy. "I was blind at this point. Why didn't I see that he was suffering from severe depression!". Qibli ran to the prince's bedside, hugged him and burst into tears.

- Winter, Winter forgive me. I'M SORRY!

Nocturne approached and put her hand on Qibli's shoulder.

- He is so close to me but at the same time so far away.
