Chapter 1 - Times, that don't change
The blizzard was getting stronger by the second, the Pokemon struggled to stay on their feet. They trotted through the snow, being lead by their strict leader, Kreed.
"ONWARDS, TRISTAN!" The Kyurem shouted at a little Snorunt who stopped to catch his breath.
"S-sorry!" He squeaked.
"You better be." He grunted.
Ever since his brothers dissapeared, Kreed has been angry all the time. He had a strong bond with them, and now they were gone.
Tristan's mother wasn't with him, as she was a water type, and.. Well, she dissapeared like the others.
Aria and his dad were Tristan's only comfort. He sobbed quietly.
Aria put her head down to the tiny boy, wiping off the tears.
"It's ok, sweetheart." Aria whispered. "It's ok."
"ARIA!" Kreed, who was at the front of the group, shouted.
Aria kept on walking, assuring Tristan he was ok with a nod again..
These were sad times. Nobody smiled, nobody laughed.
The ice types where mean, cruel, and vile creatures.
Aria hated almost everyone around her. The ice types, being the only types that survived, have gotten selfish and so full of themselves. She wanted to find someone else.
Not an ice type.
The blizzard was getting stronger by the minute, everyone struggled to not be whisked away by the strong winds.
Aria took another painful step, which required energy that some didn't have.
"I can't fly like this!" Arka cried.
Her wings weren't strong, and her deep blue colour wouldn't help her camouflage. That's why Kreed didn't like her.
Kreed couldn't contain his anger. "DO YOU THINK IT'S ANY EASIER FOR US?!"
The Articuno whimpered. "No, but-"
"If you will complain like this, you can go alone and suffer, I bet you won't last a minute without us!" Kreed shouted. Before she could fly away, Kreed slashed at her with a large claw.
She stared in shock, his claw tore apart Arka's skin and insides.
She fell to the ground, staining the white snow a deep red.
We all looked at Kreed with disgust, but he just grumbled and continued to step through the 10 inch snow.
"ARKA!" Rayn cried. "ARKA! NO!"
Aria, who knew Arka well, was crying a bit.
But this happened often, she was used to it.
Aria's mother was brutally killed by Kreed. Princess Froslass was also killed by him.
So many more were killed mercilessly.
Rayn was a peaceful Regice, sharing the same personalities with Arka. They where a strong couple, only death could break them apart.
And now it happened.
"ARKA! NOOO!" He cried once again. He glared at Kreed. "YOU KILLED MY WIFE!
Kreed ignored this, and continued walking.
"You'll PAY!" Rayn yelled at him, slashing Kreed's arm.
It was a deep cut, and the blood seeped out quickly. Rayn then started to whimper. The huge Kyurem could kill him in one slash. Without saying anything, Kreed pierced Rayn's head effortlessly.
Rayn fell to the ground and coughed. "You... Don't deserve.. Your.. Brothers..."
Even though Rayn had now died, Kreed glared at the body, and slashed it until only blood could be seen.
Kyurem screamed in anger, he hated this.
Aria couldn't stay here any longer. A murderer as their leader wasn't good. One day, something would be different.
"He doesn't even know where he's going!" Xenia, a Jynx, grunted. "Even a fire type would be better."
Her husband, Daniel, a n Alolan Sandslash, laughed. "And you know that almost NOTHING is worse than a fire type. Or a grass type... Or just... Any other type."
Xenia put her hand to her chest and replied sweetly. "Us ice types are the real survivors."
"Indeed." Daniel nodded.
Aria grunted. The cold, crunchy snow made annoying sounds under her large feet. They couldn't even blend out the sounds of these arrogant ice types.
The sun was sinking beneath the horizion, deep orange lights flooding the earth.
The first stars appeared in the sky.
Aria was bored each day, so when the beautiful night came, she gave the stars names and tried to remember them the next night.
It wasn't an easy task, especially since there were so many stars in the sky, that nobody could count them.
The brightest star in the sky was what Aria called Aksha. It means "Blessing" in Hindi, which is the reason why it received this beautiful name.
It was truly a blessing, along with the moon it lit the night sky up.
Unfortunately, that was the only thing– Even though Aria hoped it would do more.
If only the sky wasn't the only thing that was lit up by Aksha! If it could light up the ice type's minds and souls, everything would be fine!
But we all have a wish for something great, but we know it won't come true.
The whole night, as always, the herd of pokemon trotted through the snow, not really knowing where they went.
After hours of walking, Aria's feet coudn't take it anymore. She collapsed on the ice-cold snow, freezing.
"ARIA! ONWARDS! YOU'RE A WIMP!" Kreed yelled.
Aria stood up. She looked Kreed dead in the eyes. "Stop controlling us. You are the wimp here. You suffer from loss, I know that, but just accept it! They are dead! Don't make this harder for us, god damn it!"
Kreed pushed everyone out of his way and stomped to the back of the herd, facing Aria.
He slashed open her leg. "Now try to keep up with us. I'll leave you here to die, you'll see that your life was better in my hands!"
Aria lay on the ground in shock as everyone walked away.
Why was there no one to help her?
