"Sleep tight Sera." 

As Julian said the words to a peacefully sleeping Sera he felt something. Something that he hadn't felt before. He wasn't sure what it was but it felt... well, important. Even he couldn't sleep that night. He tossed and turned all through. He tried to loose himself into the land of dreams but he couldn't rest like he did before Sera called. Bored out of his mind, with Sera in a peaceful slumber, he started thinking. Many thoughts whizzed through his mind and he started to slowly drift.

Pranking Sera was a great idea. It meant that he now had someone to talk to in his lonely world. Growing up without a father was tough. He remembered watching his mum break down when she heard that her husband had left while she was pregnant with her second child. He was 11 then and it had a terrible impact on him but he braved it. Soon, his younger sister was born and well-

"Jules! Jules! It's my birthday!" yelled his younger sister Elena.

"Really Ellie?" he groaned burying his head in his pillow.

"It's 6:30 Jules!" 

"Wait really?" Julian asked confused.

Jules thought that he must drifted into sleep at some point and dreamed about his life. If only most of it actually was a dream - a nightmare. 

Elena eagerly nodded and ran off to find their mum. Julian looked at his phone and sighed. A message from Felix. 

Soooo! Lil' Elena's birthday!

Julian replied with:

 I know! She's 7!! I remember holding her when she was just born!

Instantly, he got a message back even though it wasn't even 7 in the morning yet.

Yeah... You went all mushy when you looked at her! :P

You're coming right? SHE ADORES YOU. No, she WORSHIPS you.

Yh, ik. :) Her present is epic! Epic present for epic little Elena!

Woah. Anything to her from you is heaven for her. :). Talk later. 

Felix the Fantastic signing out!

Felix and Julian were inseparable from the moment they were born. They continued to be best friends throughout their lives and had a brotherly bond between them. That obviously made Eliza ( Julian's mum) invite him and his family to all their little things. 

Julian decided to get up but then he got a call. 

"Cinnamon!"

"Hey Julesy!"

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah, thanks for that Julesy. Who knew that YOU would listen to Gorillaz?!"

"You hate them?? You evil little cockroach-"

"No, I LOVE THEM! They are amazing! How about you?"

"About me what?"

"Did you sleep well? Are you sleep deprived?"

Julian smiled sadly and decided that he didn't want to pop a good day's bubble. So he decided to lie. Well, half lie because he did sleep. A bit.

"No, I'm not sleep deprived. I slept."

"Juli-"

"I fancy having a cinnamon roll for breakfast.."

"Uh wow. REALLY?!?"

"What? With an Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte!"

Julian heard Sera tut on the the other side of the line and he smirked.

"All that sugar will do you bad Julesy!"

"You sound like an old lady."

"Huh. You just-"

"Julian! Come down!" said his mum from downstairs.

"Sorry, got to go! It's my little sister's birthday."

"Um, yeah ok bye, I wish her a happy birthday!"

Julian heard the 'beep' of an ended call and he went downstairs. Did Cinnamon's voice just waver when he told her he had to go? Nah, it probably was his sleep deprivation or a faulty connection. 

When he reached the kitchen, he saw Elena stuffing her face with pancakes and chocolate sauce and his mum sitting down drinking her tea and watching TV. 

"Julian! Had a rough night? You look tired darling." said his mother warmly.

"I'm fine mum! Don't worry!" he told her not wanting her to worry too much.

"Happy Birthday Elena!" he said bringing out his present for her from behind his back. It was a little polar bear onesie with a few toys. Elena stopped eating, got down and ran to Julian and gave him a big hug.

"Jules! Woah thank you!" she squealed with delight. 

From the corner of his eye, he saw his mother look happy and calm for once in a long time. 

"I got a bunk bed from mummy and lots of toys and a nightlight!"  said happily.

Elena took off to go put her onesie on and Julian sat down after helping himself to pancakes.

"Who were you talking to last night?" asked his mum.

Julian froze.

"Uh. Um, no one. Why would you think that?" he muttered.

"I recall hearing the word 'cinnamon' and 'latte'."

"Probably just... sleep talking! Everyone does that. Right?"

"I'M ELENA THE POLAR BEAR!" shouted Elena as she ran in. Julian's mother just looked at him and nodded.

"I have birthday stuff to prepare. Jules love, can you take Elena to the bakery or a coffee shop and get some cakes and a little gingerbread man for her?" asked his mother.

He nodded in reply and told Elena to get dressed for a sweet surprise.

Julian walked around with Elena through the High Street. He wanted something just right and special to the party. He was getting fed up of not finding the right coffee shop. Julian was particular with his tastes when he saw Cerys'. Cerys' looked small, comfy and homely tucked into a small corner. He walked in with Elena and walked up to the cake display.

"So which gingerbread man do you want El?"

"Um.. I don't know.. There is so many!" said Elena quietly. Jules looked down to see her fair little face pulled into a frown and her blue eyes were wide from surprise after seeing all the gingerbread men.

"I know!" thought Julian as he pulled out his phone to text a certain someone.

Yo cinnamon roll! Which gingerbread man sounds good? Pink tux or rainbow tux?

RAINBOW TUX. OBVIOUSLY YOU LITTLE MUPPET!

😂 Woah ty!

He uses an emoji?!? No Problem Julesy.

He selected all the cakes and the gingerbread man and went to the counter. A redhead named 'Carrie' was smiling at Elena.

"Hi! Welcome to Cerys'. What would you like to order?"

"Hi, I would like 30 chocolate cakes, 30 iced buns and the rainbow tux gingerbread man."

"Sure. That'll be £25 please. Your order will be here soon." said Carrie as I scanned my card.

"Fee! Order incoming!" yelled Carrie into the kitchen.

"Okay. Woah that's massive!" shouted Fee back.

The parcel came through and there was a shout from the kitchen.

"Hey, the cake people! Have a good day with all this tasty food!"

It was Fee.

"You too! And you Carrie!" they said exiting the shop.

Just when Julian was walking down the street, with Elena in tow (happily looking through the bags and oohing when she found the gingerbread man), he realised something. A voice in that shop was familiar. Too familiar. He just couldn't put a body to the voice. 

"Jules!" Elena said tugging his shirt, "You ok?"

"Yup. Why El?"

"I want an ice cream." she answered grinning mischievously.

Julian smiled and got her a chocolate cone.

"All this sugar is going to do you bad Elena!" he stated in a jokey way so that he wouldn't frighten Elena with the sugar stuff.

"It's my birthday.."

He ruffled her hair and continued walking. When they reached home, Felix, his mother, father and younger sister Fiorella (Elena's best friend) were there. Julian's mum had everything set up and Elena shrieked with delight. She launched herself at Felix and gave him a massive hug. Julian stood and watched everyone with a small smile. Everything was perfect for once. 

"Yo JULES!! COME JOIN US!" shouted Felix, Elena and Fiorella. 

Julian walked up to them and lay down on the grass. He felt the sun on his face and he relaxed. 

'Everything is gonna be alright,' thought Julian. 'Like that Bob Marley song.'

HELLO!!! This was a VERY boring chapter. I'm so so so so sorry! I just wanted to give y'all insight into Julesy's life. The rainbow tux gingerbread man :). I love Elena, she's so sweet! This chapter is long as well but oh well! Updates are going to be slower :( since school opens tomorrow and I have tests since it's almost the end of year! I'll try to update as much as I can!
