The bar graph depicts the proportion of people aged from 25 to 34 who are housed in the UK over a certain period of time, starting from 2004 and ending with 2014

It is clear that the proportion of homeowners has decreased dramatically. By contrast, the number of renter people had a significant rise during these years.

The figure for owners experienced a slight decrease in 4 first years and reached a little lower than from its first point around 60% to approximately higher than 55% in 2007. Before leveling at 41% in two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012, there was a dramatic decline from 55% to 41% in 2011. After remaining stable till 2012, the number fell again to almost 36% and reached a new dip in 2014.

The number of renters saw a significant rise and doubled in 8 years and stopped at 40% in 2011. Similarly, there was no change in 2011 and 2012, like the owner's figure. Since then the proportion of people who paid rent climbed to about 48% and reached a peak in 2014.
