five.
The more Renjun's eyes glimmered while dancing on the dark, the more people gets enamored by him. He has always had this pull on people, where he makes you nervous with his simple stare and he makes you want to pull out a ring when he smiles at you.
He's that kind of person. And yet, all Jaemin could think of was Jeno's betrayed eyes when he saw him for the first time tonight. He could still feel Jeno's stares on the back of his neck while he was holding Renjun's waist. Trying to ignore the attention he used to want so much, he pulled Renjun in.
"W-whoah, a bit clingy there, are you?" Renjun giggled, looking tipsier ten minutes ago.
"Don't fall for me, tinkerbell." Jaemin smirked, focusing on the shorter guy.
"Tinkerbell? That's new." He mumbled, brows furrowing.
"It does suit you, aside from the fact that you look like a fairy, you're undeniably small." He explained, snorting right after receiving a slap on the shoulder.
"That's mean!" He pouted, eyes drooping down from sleepiness.
"Don't fall on me, Huang. You're heavy" he threatened jokingly, tightening his hold on Renjun.
"Of course I won't fall for you! You're like the assholest of the assholes!" He defensively said.
"I wasn't pertaining to that" Jaemin rolled his eyes, giving Donghyuck a sign that they'll get going. The tanned male waved his arms, his voice saying "take care" was drowned by the loud music but Jaemin got the message anyway. He was planning to set the two up tonight, but Donghyuck was busy talking to his guests and Renjun was too drunk for his own good.
"Lemme take you home," Jaemin whispered to Renjun's ear, earning no response from the older.
"So... where do I take you?" Jaemin asked himself, blacking out. He doesn't know anything about Renjun aside from the fact that they knew each other from photography club.
"Do you have your car?" A baritone voice appeared from his back.
Jaemin— caught off guard by who it is, didn't notice that Renjun was about to fall from his hold. A strong arm then went on the shorter's side to give him some support. "Can't even handle his drinks." Jeno muttered, annoyed.
"We can manage, Jen" Jaemin tried to smile, but Jeno only stared at him with his examining eyes.
"Did you drink?" He asked.
"Yes, but only—"
"Then I'll drive the both of you home." He interrupted, stealing Jaemin's keys from his hands.
"Where is his place?" Jeno asked when they both finished putting Renjun on the backseat.
Jaemin scratched the back of his neck. He doesn't know. "He'll stay at my place." He ended up saying.
Jeno gave him a pained look, but it only lasted for a few seconds that even Jaemin wasn't sure if what he saw was real. Before Jaemin could even open his mouth to talk, Jeno started driving already.
Jeno's silence has always been comforting for him, most of the time it means that he was listening, sometimes it means he was just enjoying their time together. But this silence is different. The silence was too loud.
Too loud for Jaemin's liking that it's making his heart hurt.
