Part One: Conflict
My eyes flutter open and I slowly sit up, rubbing my head. I flinched away as I hit a certain spot. That was going to last a few days. I then took in my surroundings, which were pretty dark excluding the spot of light that I was under, which also featured a flower garden.
I smiled and slowly got up, walking into the darkness, trying to find where the wall was. I soon enough found it and followed it further into the darkness. I felt like I was blind.
After a few minutes, my hand left the wall and I stumbled forward, running into another wall soon enough. I turned around and felt around the area I had stumbled; there was a doorway. A large doorway, really.
I continued with my method until after what felt like a little under an hour of walking, I saw a faint light at the of what I could only assume was a hallway. As soon as I stepped into the light I feel back a little bit.
There were light and darkness swirling around in a tornado like thing and I could see two people inside of whatever I was a few feet away from. I slowly stood up, my eyes adjusting slowly. I put my hands on my eyes and then counted to thirty and by the time those quick seconds were over my eyes were a lot more adjusted.
I slowly approached what appeared to be a conflict. I found myself walking through the strange tornado and clearly seeing the two people who were arguing, possibly fighting.
A goat looking lady in a large green gown with flowers some of which shimmered gold at the bottom with vines growing up it and a pale gold cape like accessories stood nearest to me, not taking notice of me for the time being.
A skeleton who was in a kind of shredded black robe with a rope belt, the same type of rope tied at his neck in a bow, an eye that flared blue like flames and a massive scythe that was slung over his back.
I stumbled back at the sight of that scythe. What was going on here?
"You can not just intrude on a God's home!" The goat yelled, her voice gentle yet angry.
"I can do whatever I want, even if you refuse to admit it!" The skeleton yelled back, taking the scythe and swinging at her.
She quickly dodged and glared at him. I kind of clumsily ducked and fell back, a little yelp escaping my mouth.
The two turned to face me and I felt a little bit of panic settle down on me as I stood up, trying to stand my ground.
"What do we have here? A human?" The skeleton asked, his voice deep as he floated towards me.
I stumbled backward, kind of frowning at him.
The goat lady then stepped in front of me, "You wouldn't dare hurt a child, Sans."
He laughed, "I'm Death, Tori. It would be an honor, especially one who just heard who knows how much of our conversation."
I suddenly felt incredibly bad for eavesdropping.
"Touch this child and I will make sure you never reap anyone ever again."
'Sans' sighed and backed away.
"I'll be back later, then, Tori." And he disappeared from sight.
