"Why did you want to come with me?" The servant girl groaned. Princess Sora rode her horse a few feet behind the girl, and while the girl was grateful to Sora for helping her escape a life of servitude, she knew Sora would slow her down. If the servant had had the foresight to know Sora would want to come with her, she would have stayed in that dungeon.

Sora growled in exasperation. "Well I guess next time I'll just leave you in that dungeon!" she spurred her horse forward, gripping the reigns tighter.

The servant heard a noise behind her. Turning to look she was quickly knocked from her horse and was being held to the ground by a jungle cat. She gasped deeply, her breath knocked out of her, and she started kicking it, the fear exhilarating, pushing her forward.

The cat's weight was pushing down on her and she took shallow breaths, her kicks began to falter.

Then the weight was gone, a rush of air brushing her side as the animal fell to the ground next to her.

She backed away quickly, and through a hazy vision she could barely make out the scene unfolding around her.

A sword flashed and the jungle cat's blood pooled on the ground beneath it. The servant put a hand to her head, attempting to stand up.

"Sit. Are you alright?" The servant couldn't see who was talking to her, but she recognized the voice.

"Soren?" she asked. Then her world turned to grey and the last thing she knew she had hit her head on the ground.

"Are you alright?" The servant girl heard voices and opened her eyes to see Sora leaning over her.
"Yes, fine," The servant said, sitting up. Wincing, she noticed she had an awful headache. Looking around, she noticed it was morning now, or closer to noon. A salty fragrance stung the air, and she looked over to see that they were still near where Soren had killed the jungle cat.

Feeling like something was missing, she jolted upright. "Sora, why are we just waiting here!? The knights will be after us by now-"

"We wanted you to get some rest," the servant noticed Soren leading the horses over to them, "So let's go now. We probably still have a head start."

    "You're coming?"

    Soren nodded. "No more time for chit-chat. Let's go."

    The girl smiled. "Sora," she said, getting on my horse, "My name is Solgau."

    Sora looked at the girl with wide eyes. With a laugh Solgau urged her horse onward. She then heard two horses galloping behind her, and in that moment she was glad Sora had come with her.
