Hellloooo

enjoy!

Kenji's second seizure scared me, and it was because of us. I felt so damn bad. He wants to be normal.

What is normal?

He wants to be like Eva, a mother and father who are married, a sibling. He doesn't understand that it doesn't make him any different...maybe it was our argument in the car that ticked him off, or maybe how we blatantly ignored each other.

But Kenji's fine now. I need to stop worrying. It's not epilepsy; some kids experience seizures from high temperatures or stress and anxiety; it could also be hereditary. Iskander admitted to having one seizure due to high temperature, but it's never happened again.

Kenji's still asleep. They want to make sure he won't be having any more seizures.

I sighed, watching Kenji sleep peacefully. He looks like his grandmother in some ways; he has his dad's eyes. The tints of blonde in his hair might belong to that witch of a mother, but who cares about that woman? He's a beautiful kid, so diverse, Russian, Cameroonian, and Greek, living in New Jersey.

"He's going to be fine, you know," Izzie said, leaning against the doorway.

"I know that Izzie–"

"Please stop calling me Izzie–"

"No, buffoon." I snapped, glaring at him.

He furrowed his brows. "Renata, how are you going to choose what to call me?"

"Because I can," I said. "You gonna rip my mouth off?"

"I just might,"

I scoffed. "Whatever, Izzie, I don't want to argue with you,"

"Who said I wanted to argue?"

"Your actions," I retort.

Izzie sighed, sitting down. "Don't be dramatic. What did I tell you on our first date."

"Ah, the classic first date; instead of kissing, we were running for our lives."

"We wouldn't be kissing, either way. You were going to leave after I called you pathetic."

"Such an asshole of a man."

"I'm a walking red flag. Get used to it."

I scoffed. "No, you get used to me. You won't be acting a fool anymore, that's for sure."

"Renata, you're the only fool here."

"Says the man who prides himself in being a red flag."

Izzie shrugged. "No one wants a red flag, no one but you, like damn, leave me be."

I smiled in disbelief. "Wow, ok, fine."

Kenji shuffled, bringing our attention to him; his eyes opened, and he rubbed his eyes.

I smiled softly. "Hola amor, how are you?"

He smiled, but there were tears in his eyes. "Could I please have a sibling at least?"

Izzie and I looked at each other with jaws on the ground. "Kid, we–"

"Please, dad, I don't care if it's a girl or a boy; I'll even babysit, please!"

I couldn't look into his eyes. I felt horrible. "Amor–"

"Sure, kid, we'll try, and we'll let you know when there's a baby," Izzie said, cutting me off.

I glared at him with furrowed brows. I did not agree to this; who's making a baby? With the way he's been acting, he doesn't deserve no punani.

Kenji smiled happily, though. This isn't my child; why, god, do I feel as if he's my child?

"Amor, let me talk to your papa, ok?"

Kenji nodded eagerly, and I pulled Iskander out the door. "Izzie, what–?"

"Calm down. You do your little tricks and get Carson to impregnate you–"

I smacked him hard. "How dare you suggest that?!" I whisper-yell. "First of all, I have been with this child, this child that isn't even my own, and although I love him like he is, I will not go to stupid measures to make you happy. ¿Me tomas como tonta?!" (Do you take me for a fool?!)

Izzie held his jaw, completely unphased.

"You said you respected me as the mother of your child,"

"Yes." He answered.

"¡Mentiroso!" (liar) I exclaimed. "If you had an ounce of respect, you wouldn't say what you say to me–and maybe that was my fault; I put myself out there, but don't worry, I won't be making such mistakes again."

I scoffed, I was getting angrier by the minute, and the nonchalant look on his face made it worse. Maybe he knew that I would never leave Kenji, that I could despise him and still love Kenji.

What did I do to myself? All I wanted was a fine man with tattoos and blonde hair.

Now, I have the Greek mafia after me, my life's in danger, and Iskander's the only one who could protect–well, technically Ivan could too, but he's chasing after a girl he likes, and it wouldn't look too good if I were living with him.

Where could I go? I have siblings, but they have families, and I'd just be endangering them, and even if I left, what about Kenji?

Lord, life is so hard. I want to start over, please. I promise to be good.

Ignored.

I spent the rest of the day with Kenji. Izzie was there too, but he pissed me off too much. I ignored him the whole day and the rest of the three days. I hate him so much. How could two assholes create such a beautiful child?

Both Adele and Izzie could go fuck themselves.

"I'm so glad you're ok, Kenji!" Miss Brandi hugged him.

"Calm down, милый, you're squeezing him." (honey) Mr. Ivan said, chuckling.

You know, I wonder what he does to be nicknamed Death....

"Yes, I'm fine, thank you," Kenji said with a big smile. "Mommy and daddy said I can have a little sister or brother, so I'm excited."

Ivan coughed very loudly. "Oh shit, really?"

Miss Brandi shook his head. "Ivan, Tiens-Toi bien." (behave yourself.)

Ivan scoffed. "Mom!" He whined. "I didn't even do anything."

"Please go pick up your sister; she's coming home early, don't be foolish."

Ivan groaned. "Dad,"

Mr. Ivan's eyes widened before he cleared his throat. "Listen to your mother, Что с тобой, мальчик, ты пытаешься меня убить?" (What's wrong with you, boy, are you trying to kill me?)

Iskander snickered at whatever Mr. Ivan said, and Ivan stomped off.

Miss Brandi shook her head. "He's so dramatic."

Iskander rolled his eyes. "He's not mentally well. I'm telling you we should start looking for psych wards."

Mr. Ivan chuckled, and Miss Brandi rolled her eyes. "All of you are not serious. I can't believe he's your father, Kenji."

Kenji only shrugged. "I dunno."

I smiled a bit, trying to hold the laughter coming out.

"How have you been, Renata? You're better than me. I didn't want to see my own kids sometimes, let alone someone else's."

I chuckled. "Kenji's an angel, unlike his father and uncle."

"They get it from Ivan. I was a sweet child." Miss Brandi shrugged.

"As if," Mr. Ivan countered.

"Mom, dad, please don't have another one of your pointless arguments."

They both rolled their eyes. "It's not pointless."

I giggled. "I would love to have your relationship in the future."

"You and Iskander aren't together?" Miss Brandi said, glaring at Izzie.

"No, we're not."

"Разоренный." (busted.) Mr. Ivan mumbled.

Miss Brandi raised her eyebrow threateningly; Iskander looked at the ground. "Iskander, qu'est-il arrivé à tout ce que tu m'as dit?" (What happened to everything you told me?)

Iskander cleared his throat. "Ma–"

"Et après tout je m'attends à ce que tu sois amoureux d'elle." (and after everything, I expect you to be in love with her.) Miss Brandi looked irritated. "Is this what I raised? Two foolish idiots?!"

Mr. Ivan rubbed her back as she fumed. I just sat there, and so did Kenji. His eyes were wide with surprise. Iskander had nothing to say. I was surprised. Someone's able to shut him up.

The door opened, and Burgundy ran towards her dad with tears in her eyes. "Oh my gosh, you're alive, you're alive!" She sobbed, hugging him tightly.

I furrowed my brows and leaned closer to Iskander. "She didn't know the whole time?" I whispered.

Iskander shook his head. "No, it was made to be a surprise."

"Wow, you do have a heart somewhere."

Iskander didn't answer, he only glared at me, and I stuck my tongue out. He can't do anything because of his mother.

Their banter is so chopped.
