Being First Line
Over the weekend Allison made a system with notebooks, from plot lines for the show, enemies, friends, who to save, who to kill and how, certain things that she would need (like the nine Celtic herbs), and everything else should could possibly need one day. It was all about five notebooks worth of stuff, and she hid them all in her locker in a box labeled 'School Tests', so she could go through them and compare where she would go wrong on them or go right. Something she did in her past life.
And when Monday came around Allison made her way to practice, knowing exactly what was coming, and she made sure that Scott had seen her dad that morning, so right now he should be having a good enough scare. Both him and Stiles.
By the time she got to the lacrosse field just as Coach had begun announcing their first task.
"Let's go! One-on-one from up top! Jackson-- take a long stick today." Coach called to him and Jackson nodded, dropping the stick he was holding and getting one of the longer ones that Coach instructed him to take before running back onto the field. "Atta boy!" Coach cheered as Jackson took his place on the field.
When Coach blows his whistle, Allison scoops up a ball and the team starts the play. The players run around the field, passing the ball to each other and shoulder-checking their opponents as they try to score a goal, with Coach watching with a focused expression as he follows their movements from the sidelines.
"That's how you do it, Jackson! That's how you do it!" She heard Coach yell, before she looked over to see Jackson hit one of the players in the back with the blunt end of his stick so he can steal the ball, before Coach yelled out in an annoyed voice at one of the other players, #31.
"Greenberg, take a lap!" He yelled at the player, who set off to run around the field as Coach turns his attention to the lined-up players ready to start their round of one-on-ones. Scott is at the front of the line and gets prepared to start, and next to Allison who shot him a small friendly smile. "Let's go! Faster, Greenberg! Let's go."
After seeing her small smile Scott became distracted, either by his crush on her or the fact her dad was a hunter and she knew, but was quickly brought back to reality when Coach shouts at him.
"McCall, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"
Coach points at Jackson, who is waiting for him with his long stick in hand, ready to show him up. However, when Scott clenches his jaw and runs toward him, he's easily tackled by the larger young man and is tossed flat on his back onto the grassy field. Coach wastes no time in starting to mock him as Scott grimaces, both in pain and in embarrassment. Allison grimaced in sympathy pain.
"Hey, McCall! Hey, McCall!" Coach yelled, marching over to the young wolf.
"You sure you still want to be first line, McCall?" Jackson asked the boy before walking away as Coach walked up to him, causing Scott to quickly jump to his feet, fixing his gloves and pads as Coach begins berating him for his poor performance.
"My-my grandmother can move faster than that-- and she's dead! You think you can move faster than the lifeless corpse of my dead grandmother?
Scott's anger and frustration have him doubled over, which begins to worry Allison, who continues to watch from the field. Scott muttered something but that didn't seem to be enough as Coach yelled again.
"I can't hear you!"
"Yes. Coach." Scott said a lot louder.
"Then do it again!" He yelled and Scott did as told and ran back to position while Coach shouts mockingly toward the rest of the players.
"McCall's gonna do it again! McCall's gonna do it again!" He called out, and Jackson got back to his position in mid-field as Scott returned to the front of the line-up for one-on-ones; though his eyes weren't glowing, he still looked angry yet determined. After a moment, Coach blows his whistle to have them start. "Let's go!"
With the blow of the whistle Scott ran at full-speed at Jackson, gripping his lacrosse stick hard as he collides with Jackson, his right shoulder hitting Jackson right in the collarbone on the same side. Jackson falls backwards, landing flat on his back in the grass just as Scott had just gone earlier, and clutches his right shoulder in pain.
Everyone ran forward in worry and panic. Most of them went to Jackson as Stiles ran to Scott and Allison stood in her spot, having the feeling of being watched. She turned her head and her eyes landed on Derek who was watching the game with narrowed eyes, but when he saw her looking at him he smiled slightly at her, and she smiled back.
"Yeah, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!" The yell of Coach made her turn back to the chaos.
A few minutes later she watched as Scott and Stiles ran off. She thought about it for a moment before shrugging in a 'why the hell not' kind of way and followed after them.
By the time she caught up with them Scott was on the heating vents up around the top of the ceiling, using them to crawl around and track Stiles, who was circling around the locker room and has just made it back to the entrance, and she grabbed the fire extinguisher as he flailed around desperately. She pushed Stiles behind her and waited until Scott had jumped back down onto the floor before spraying it at him.
This surprises and disorients Scott, who covers his face with his hands to try to avoid the spray. Once Allison stopped, she and Stiles took cover just outside the door to the locker room and waited to see what happened next, clutching the fire extinguisher tightly and preparing to possibly have to do it again.
"That was fun." Allison muttered to Stiles who gave her a look of wide eyes.
"Not really!" He told her and she burst into a round of giggles.
"Stiles...?" Scott called out and both of them let out a breath of fresh air before walking into the the locker room. "Allison!" Scott said in shock, yet weak from what just happened.
"Hey..." Allison said awkwardly as she sat the fire extinguisher by the door.
"What happened?" Scott asked, turning to Stiles, who was panting for breath from the exertion of being chased around by Scott just moments ago, as the boy walked inside the room too. He looks at Scott with an exhausted and exasperated expression as he starts to take off his gloves, which he forcefully throws onto the floor to emphasize his seriousness about the situation.
"You tried to kill me." Stiles told him, and Scott sighed and looked guilty as Stiles walked over to him and crouched in front of him so he could look him in the eyes. His expression grim as he reminds Scott of what he had researched last weekend. "It's like I told you before-- it's the anger, it's your pulse rising. It's a trigger."
"But that's lacrosse. It's a pretty violent game, if you hadn't noticed..." Scott said with a huff.
"Well, it's gonna be a lot more violent if you end up killing someone on the field." Stiles said with a firm voice, as he responded to make it clear to Scott that this is a problem they need to deal with and take seriously. "You can't play Saturday. You're gonna have to get out of the game."
"I'm first line--" Scott tried to say, only to be cut off.
"Not anymore." Stiles told him and the boy sighed.
"Well, there is another option." She said and their heads snapped to her, "Ask Derek for help. He'd be willing to help if you asked nicely."
"No, no way. We think he murdered that girl in the woods." Stiles said, shaking his head.
"No. That was his sister. I heard my dad and mom talking about it the other day. And after Derek lost his family in that fire all those years ago do you honestly think he'd kill off the only family he had left?" She asked them and they glanced at each other. "Trust me, it wasn't him." She said, shaking her head. "We should probably get back to practice. Oh, and Stiles, I have to talk to you about something after school, okay?" She told him before leaving to go back to practice.

That day after school Allison met Stiles at his Jeep, which she couldn't stop staring at with a huge smile.
"So what's up?" He asked her and with a deep breath Allison quickly told him everyone Derek told her Friday.
When she was done he stared at her with wide eyes, and an open jaw.
"Yeah, that was my reaction when I had fully processed what he said." Allison said with a nod.
"Me- You- Derek- what?" He sputtered and she sighed with a nod.
"Yeah, my reaction too." She told him honestly.
"Wow." He said, leaning back in his seat.
"Yeah..." She sighed out, leaning back in her own seat.

After the whole talk thing they parted ways for the night, Stiles needed to think about what he just found out, which was understandable. And the next day she ran into Stiles in the hallway.
"Hey." She said and he looked at her with an awkward smile.
"Hey." He said back.
"Busy?" She asked him, nodding at his phone in his hand and he shook his head.
"No, no, it's just, uh, Scott. He's nothing." He said and she frowned. Stiles, realizing he misspoke in a way that sounded really mean, tried to backpedal to make up for it, which comes out even more awkward. "I mean, it's nothing. Uh, I'm never busy for you."
"I like the sound of that." She said with a smile. "I have to run to French class, but I wanted you to know that my dad is coming to see us play tomorrow."
"He is?" Stiles asked, surprised and a bit panicked.
"Yes. I mean, it's my first game, of course he's coming to watch. And we're all going out afterwards-- you, me, Lydia, Jackson... It's gonna be great. Tell Scott to come, too." She said before moving to leave so she could get to her locker and then to French class. "Uh, save me a seat at lunch. I gotta go!" She said before speeding off.
She got to her locker just as the bell rang, and quickly spun the combination lock until she could open it to grab her stuff for her next class. And because she didn't leave anything in Derek's car or anything she found nothing wrong in her locker, but she did have the feeling of being watched as she quickly switched out her books before running to class. She made it just as she second bell rang.

The next day it was already all over town about the fact they found Derek's sister's body in his yard- not that they knew it was Derek's sister. And that night was the first game.
She walked out her door when her dad pulled up, ready to go. And thankfully there was no Scott in sight.
And just like in the show, the game was a shit show- but they won so there was that at least.
