In which evening walks are always the best when it's with him.

Fall.

A delicate season where the amount of hours the sun is in the sky noticeably decreases. A crisp breeze laces the tree branches, leaves fade into a gorgeous hue of orange as they slowly drift to the ground. Sunsets are always the most beautiful during this particular period of time. The way the colors swirl together in a marble like pattern truly outlines the candy-floss up above.

They walked along the gray concrete pathway, a good distance set between them. Silence was cast amongst them, not awkward, but comforting in a way that stung the tip of your tongue. People would taunt them for being together, they didn't understand why. Was it the fact that a football prodigy was with someone who could hardly keep her eyes open in class? They really did seek him out to be too good for her, nevertheless she didn't care.

Soon they began to walk in each other's direction until they were shoulder to shoulder. Warmth spread throughout their figures like a never ending wildfire. She looked up at him, eyes outlining his sharp jawline and porcelain face. "Yes?" He asked, his teal eyes as elegant as the gaudy gemstones that were precisely placed on a grand chalice meeting hers.

The apocalyptic sensation of care in his voice instead of his normal blunt attitude sent shivers down her spine. "Can I hold your hand?"

He furrowed his eyebrows, a confused look plastered onto his face. "You don't need to ask, you know that right?"

And with that she laced their fingers together, holding his hand tightly as if letting go would cause him to disappear. "I love you, Rin."

"Mhm, I love you too."
