SANS POV

The timeline flashed before my eyes.

"FRISK!!!!!!"

I woke up. Was it a... dream? I walked downstairs to find Papy making his usual spaghetti breakfest. No. That timeline was real. That really happened.

"HELLO BROTHER!! I THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAS MADE YOU BREAKFEST!!" He handed me a plate and dumped some spaghetti on it.

"Thanks bro." I quickly ate it trying to ignore the taste.

"HMM YOU SURE WERE HUNGRY TODAY!!!" Papyrus said as I left to go to my post.

"Guess I DO have the stomache for it."

"SANS!" I walked out laughing. I teleported to my post and sighed. "Now just to wait for Frisk.." I started walking towards the door like I did in the first timeline. 'I hardly remember that one...' I looked up and saw it. 'I've never actually made it before.....' I knocked.

"Who's there?" the voice was saddened.

"Ya seen."

There was a sigh. "Ya seen who?"

"Ya seen a kiddo round here?"

"......"

'Dangit.. she hasn't.' I heard muffled crying. "H-Hey! What wrong?"

"I...I.. I have but...b-but...."

She went dead silent. I knocked again. "Ya still there?" The door slowly creaked open and Toriel ran out and hugged me. Tears were streaming from her eyes. "L-Lady? Whats up?" 'This hasn't happened in any timeline...'

"H-How do you know the child?" I froze. 'H-How do I explain...'

"Timelines?"

"What?"

I sighed. 'HOW IM I GONNA??'

"You know what..? It doesn't matter how you knew her....." She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the ruins. "If you knew her.... I-I..."

"You what?"

"I-I must show you this..." We came apon a mound of dirt. My heart/soul stopped.

"D-Don't tell me that's...." There was a small headstone. "N-No..."

R.I.P

"There was a human but s-she... didn't survive the fall." She covered her mouth to muffle her sobs. I stood still as the darkness came once again. This time I could move. Freely. Without any pain."Frisk...? A-Are you here?" I looked around. She wasn't there. "Frisk?!" My voice cracked.

Heya.

"FRISK!"

So... I thought I'd explain something to you. I can't reset. So, if I die you're gonna freeze up and then be able to move. You can hit CONTINUE or RESET. You already know what RESET does. But... doyou know about CONTINUE?

"N-No... I don't..."

You go on without me.

".....I......Why can't you--"

Why can't I use the buttons? ......

"..yeah.."

Chara... took what I had left of my soul. I had already lost all my determination. YOU have whats left. You.... just need to stay determined. Then, when I die... you can reset. Just.... stay determined. I'll figure this out if I can.

"N-No! I can let you do this alone! Chara will kill you the next time she sees you!" I looked around me again, but could see her. "Where are you even?!"

You can't see me, but I am right in front of you.

I sciwnted to try and see her.

Another weird thing. I'm pretty sure you can only reset once you see my body. At least that's what happened now.

"So.. I have to find your body before I can reset?"

Thats what I just said!

"Heh, sorry. Im kinda new to all the rules to controlling the timeline."

Okay, okay. Yeah.. it's weird. But anyways can you reset? I'm kinda sick of this area.

"Yeah.. okay.." I walked over to the button and tapped it. "Hey, promise me one thing."

Yeah?

"Don't die till you get out of the ruins. Can ya do that kid?"

Heh... I'll try.

My vision warped and the timeline flashed. "Thanks Frisk."

No problem.
