Love Ekta
———————————————————————
" I caught a pebble of an sonnet to love the moonlight for the world becomes quite as the music breezes in only to reaffirm that tonight there is someone out there to love me like I wish to be... A lover of a beloved below the twilight of the night"
Under a vault of heaven one perfect as midnight velvet, under stars so white they drew the eyes heaven bound, the lyrics of starry starry night played slowly in Sanskaar's mind. As the light sparkled across the pebbled path the unsung song played in his mind... Sanskaar gathered himself as his steps fell slowly yet lightly over the rocky path as he led Swara across the moonlight path to a shimmering sight of the blooming marquee that dazzled in all its glory...
Surrounded by gently stream of light the orchids came alive as the gentle breeze swayed at the moist grass that paved way for the chilling breeze... As the gentle touches of the crickets splashed in the puddles Sanskaar only had eyes for one and that was for the lady that rested within his arms... Long where his fears forgotten for the pursuit of passion lay hope to claim of what lay yet to come... A dream he knew the second he met her he just needed her.. A part of her in a part of his with a touch only know to her... As he turned around he grabbed her hands only to settle at her waist, he looked her in the eyes only to usher for her to hold him...
Just as he had settled her under the moonlight the music had played only to swirl around them shifting away any of the awkwardness they had felt on there way up here... Swara had slowly relaxed as the music spun around for she had stopped counting the numerous times she had stepped on his toes... For the gentleman that Sanskaar was he had just smiled till he knew she had relaxed... It's not that she didn't knew how to dance but she had never danced with someone that could tie her inside into a thousand of knots... This nervousness had her chatter nonsense to a dozen only for her to stop as she heard him chuckle... As he reassured her it was okay with a gentle squeeze of her hands... Still he smiled brightly as their feet swayed, stamped and clicked over the pebbled floor. Sanskaar watched as her hair fell lose, bounced and spun some more with each moving beat. Her makeshift bun long forgotten as her locks rested at her waist just as he liked...This was perfect he thought... For this was living in the moment as all that mattered was that she was with him right in front of him in all her glory..
He kept looking at her as he pulled her back and forth only to hug her ever so often to whisper sweet nothings... A whisper that left her soul craving for more as she held on tight... Sanskaar was in a flirtatious mood and he knew there was nothing stopping him tonight... As he knew she could feel it just like he felt it too... The storms so far had shown him she cared so he knew he could show her all of him with a promise of not having to got at it alone...
Swara knew when Sanskaar looked at her it was as if every ounce of her breath was taken from her lungs as if had been freed to float into the air like that of the midnight like smoke. Every time she dreamt it felt like he had kissed her.. She felt like her world had stopped, leaving just the two of them to lay claim to the wonders of the earth together. So as he held her face tonight between his palms she hoped he would untie all of her desires by claiming her dreams that she had hidden in her secret knots of desire... She secretly prayed for him to hold her in his arms for eternity too which she had become in so accustomed to. If this was what falling in love was like, she knew for sure that this is one story she never wanted to end. For she had longed for it for so long, and now that she had it she knew that she couldn't afford to lose it. Losing him was out of the question for he was a thing that made her feel complete.
The music slowly swayed as it hummed it's melody only to form a twirl of passion, a thread, a potion one that cast a web around them in the illumination of the night... Swara let her head rest on his chest, as she let him sway her body in circles from one twirl to another till they twirled somewhat more...The violins hummed as the piano waved ashore with the gently tapping of the drums that reaffirmed the warmth of the passion that was yet to ignite...As the song drew to a close at the last beat Swara heard the voice of her soul as the twilight lit a melody one that sung only to her soul of the love she held for him. I believe I long him and I know I want to marry him. And the music slowed somewhat more as she finally met him to lay her hands at rest in his... Swara looked up into his soft brown eyes, only to settle her hand at the beat of his heart..
Swara gently twirled her face closer to his till there was no where to go... He stilled at wonder but stopped in his tracks to see what she was going to do next...Sanskaar contemplated what was in her mind and froze at that very moment, not from fear but that of excitement. Swara gently lent in ever so tenderly so that her forehead rests just against his. As they drew close their eyes met, as both their breaths shivered..." Shukariya," she says only audio able to his ears no louder than that of a mere whisper.
"For?" He answered, ever so gently in husky low voice..
"You." Her voice quivered from the tension amongst them. Sanskaar stood rooted no longer able to believe what he had heard or seen... Gone where the thousand of reasons of why this was wrong for he knew he had finally found his resting place for he was breathing and that was beautiful enough to show Swara what her actions had meant...
So he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her up close against his chest. His hand gently glided through her silky hair right through her velvety silhouette as he looked at her in a way he had never looked at any other girl before. Her eyes were illuminating as bright of that of the wax that lay at bay from the candles in that night, their light a spark of passion or was it desire Sanskaar no longer knew. As a small but teasing smile crept upon his face, goosebumps lined her skin, not the kind than one gets in the cold, but the kind one gets when nothing else matters except right here, right now.
He drew her ever so close as close as one could be till there breaths mingled and the flame lay burnt... The memories long forgotten no longer where there worries alluring but the only syllable that spoke where the words of there souls which where the sparkle of the twilight that had cast a web of deceit that lay root deep within there eyes... Sanskaar drew himself closer every so slowly till he met her lips only to melt away at her intoxicating delight...

"I wonder away only to look alight to ponder or wonder do you think of me as I think of you?"
Laying still Sanskaar looked afar into the velvety evening of faint little freckles that illuminated brightly only to form a imagination of emotions. It was a lamp of glowing moths that slowly drew him into the ibis of forbidding desires.. Oh how his heart pumped at her thoughts as if he had awoken his own personal drug that had laid hidden for to long. No matter how hard he had tried to guard his feelings she had seemed to have enter without his permission and as he reached his hands to touch the forbidden fruit it lay bare only to mock him in the night as if challenging to come and seek it if he dared.
Sanskaar could still feel the tingles of her gentle touches as they had swayed to the melody of the blues and the hymns of the night. Yet the allure had stuck for her sent lay bare in the air unstrung. He always felt like a man whom was prone to emotions but tonight he knew that was far from the truth. He pondered into the scarlet night at how this moth of a woman had woven her web of desire around his heart. Had he not mocked, berated and even vowed to refuse to let her in. Yet she spun around his soul as the vixen she was.. Afterall it had not been his fault but that of those deceiving eyes. He mocked his inner soul as he recalled those gleaming doe eyes that pixied brighter than the night of the moon as if they had been enchanted by the potion of the witches moon.
Pointy at the tip they where the perfect mirror to her soul so as they swayed away he only knew of one thing that he wanted than anything else which was for the night to never end. As for once Sanskaar could neither decide if they where his or hers but one thing he knew he could claim was the beat had become there's an emotion the eyes could never hide new moon or not.. For no longer where his eyes the mirror to his heart as they shattered and lay broken that eve. So Sanskaar chuckled away at his inner self as he mocked the very reasons he believed he had to stay away for he could neither remember or acknowledge why he wanted to stay away to begin with. A few months ago he would have mocked anyone that talked of starry nights. Sanskaar was never a dreamer for he morally lived on the believe of getting what one wants there was no scope of blurry lines for he always followed his goals to the very end.
He recalled the conversation he had once had with Maria not so many moons ago. It had been on Valentine's Day the day of love and passion. Ironic as it was Sanskaar had been sulking and brooding away in his man cave as always. Unlike any other day it would be on this very day that Sanskaar could not be spared of attention. Like clock work every year he would be prone to female attention at his office from roses to cards you name it they lay hidden in his office and even his beloved car would not be spared. It was a day he hated and a day that Aman loved.
Yes his friend would team up with his beloved family he had come to know them as to let them know of all the pranks he had played. They would giggle away at his expense as he moaned away to call it a day or great commercialism. Sanskaar always was and had been a believer that love was show in the acts we did for one on a daily basis. So therefore had always found it hard to understand why people needed this one day to tell there supposed soulmate of how much they were loved. He was never a believer of whimsical myths for was love not supposed to be everlasting just like the entirety of faith one had when they declared to share there passion for the one they loved.
But today he knew why couples would blush away and plan for hours on end. For one smile of there beloved would seep them out of the obis in a world or wonder. It let's one dream of passion that one could only share with that someone special. Create moments unique to them and that was something so sacred that money couldn't also buy. Yes tonight he had learnt that he was indeed a man that could have love if only he let go of the past. For once Sanskaar knew that he wanted that love to be with Swara for she was the only woman that could storm away with his demons and bring a front the dreams of the man he has so wished to be.
Forgotten lay the file and the promises Sanskaar had made to so many for once he just wanted to be happy and a price he was willing to pay for it was by allowing himself to not worry about what lay ahead for him tonight. So he lay there tonight webbing a future of where he would have a wedding, a courtship and even a family and a hope of having someone to finally come home to grow old with. The possibilities where endless or so he believed for was that not what falling in love was all about. Scanning his room for a paper and pen he settled at the bay of his window for sleep was a melody long forgotten as he strung the very first song of his soul.
"My beloved love me like no tomorrow for only two can shine as the hours dwindle away to mere seconds. For I wonder do you think of me as I think of thee in the velvety meadow of the night. Forgotten lay my blankets as I sit a wonder what lay abay I only hope you feel what I wish to hum for the rest of our life.
For roses may be the perfect petals for prayers yet these blue bells are prayers of a hope that shine bright to hold on to hope that you'll hold on to me as I want to hold onto you.
Mirror mirror on the wall for whom shines brightest of all. A symphony that will hum with time only to land afloat at you for your elfin like dews are the mirror I seek to the path of my redeeming soul.
Hold me! Hold me tight. For my beloved I have swam ashore alone for far to long. As I dock I only hope my hand shall shine as bright as this starry night for I am no knight but a humble man at the mercy of your soul.
A twinkle of the light sets to ignite. The soul hums in rhythm to your melody for the passion lay in you. Touch me as I sit afloat only to learn how to glow. For I blossom only to be seen by you and you alone. Please love me like I yearn for no other for this midnight twilight may be the bringer of hope if only you knew what I truly desire within..
Wanting is a worship like no other. A potion of scarlet only to twinkle at the tune of your soul.
Swara hold me tight tonight for even if we part we lay awake in hope to learn that our harmony will come."
As Sanskaar scribbled away his letter to his beloved another lay awake to offer a key that neither he or she would want. The letter was not an opening message but a dew of unwanted attention. So as the poet within Sanskaar was born the warrior lay at bay only to learn that once scars cannot be totally forgotten for tomorrow would bring another day where dreams cannot always match once reality.

" Oh starry starry night...bring me my knight... as I browse afar to see what he may lay ajar... oh starry starry night bring me my light for I lay ajar a knight not to far.."
Strumming the strings of her guitar to the tune of her heart Swara smiled brightly at the stars. She twirled away mist the drumming tune with leaps and boons from left to right her heart knew no light for she smiled like a kitten that had finally found her sparrow...
Swara had been reminiscing about the evening in a loop that had no beginnings to an end... Such had been one moment which had been given more importance or rather had taken her mind...
He was so fragile yet so delicate for he had worshiped her like no one had mattered.. His gentle touches, secret glances and the twirls and twist that lead to her heart to flutter beyond her control called to her soul as she felt the heat emit from her skin... His fingers had traced where no man had ever been allowed to go with what followed was the lingering whispers of his lips.. Sanskaar had not touched her skin yet the the fanning of his breath on her skin had he crawl beyond her control... She had melted and let him cherish her as he wished and she had hummed at his tune to the dreams that he had lain bare at her soul...
As she looked at the moon she prayed with her eyes closed... Gently letting the cords draft her response to his letter which she where yet to see...
" oh my knight come for me tomorrow as I wait for you to hollow... For not touching you is agony... Not seeking you is like choosing between breathing or not... For I was afraid to kiss you yet today I am afraid to tell you that I love you... But know that I love you I am afraid to lose you... So my knight I cling onto you with the passion I hold.. the warmth I can offer for the love I hold in my eyes.. I am proud to say that I am lucky to have you just like this starry starry night..."
Dreaming with the song in her heart she lay in bed only to see what tomorrow would bring... For the night had settled to bring forth the light of dawn where knew challenges lay afoot for the lovers that had finally found the first touches of warmth within each other...

"Set ablaze the fire within and let the twilight sweep away the mist that have haunted for long for we are the dust, we are the ash and we are the same as we pursuit the ultimate flame of redemption for never let it burn you twice..."
Shuffling through the morning traffic light hoots could be heard mist the tweeting of the folk of birds as Howard lay his head against the head rest within the taxi. It had been five hours since he had landed and yet he had no clue of how long it would take to finally reach the agreed meeting place... He closed his eyes in anticipation of what lay ahead for he had vowed never to return after he had left all those years ago. Yet here he stood yet again tested once more by the demons he believed he had left far behind...
Had it not been for the phone call he has received he would have never made the trip for he remembered he had vowed both to his parents and her to never return until it was required..
As the driver took the final left amongst patted him at his shoulders Howard knew he had arrived. The rushing of early morning worshipers could be heard flowing the steps of the ancient Kalighat Mandir. He had not been here in years but as he looked around it felt as if he had aged but the ruins had stood the test of time... Well like all loyal devotees Howard knew that man grew older and wiser but faith is one that grew within and prove of that lay within this very shrine he was at today...
Surround around the bustling hoogily river devotees prayed, wished and longed for more.. But most of all he could feel the peace that the place omitted even during the darkest of hours as the bells chimed away through the clouds... There she stood with holding the golden tray up in the air as always taking the almighty for her boon...
Howard flocked through the crowds as he strode towards the steps one by one to finally end his journey with the clacking of the final bell at the present step... He closed his eyes as he stood behind her only for him to raise his hands in the air to relay his respect just as she has turned around to greet him with the flame of mystery a gift of what lay forth in the present... Greating the flame he fanned the flame with his hands drawing strength as he met her eyes through the smoke it omitted, only to ultimately close the greet with smirk with a final closing of his hands while he whispered for her to hear "Namaste Bhabi Saah"...
She smiled in return as she lowered her head and lead them to the river where they knew a lot more would be shared just like it had been done all those years ago...
———————————————————————
As she placed the tiny twinkling diyas into the river she hope Howard would understand why it was need to finally close this game once and for all... The promise she had made to him all those years ago had to finally come to a close for she knew the storm was brewing she had seen it in his eyes... She had felt the blaze and she had seen her own folk question the same...
Anupurma knew that today all her prayers, her hours devotion would finally bring fruition that she hoped it would have and she thanked her son whom had taken the first step to crumple the empire her Saas had so proudly built... As she tapped the last diya into the river stream she knew it was the ash that would bring her the redemption she needed... Twirling on her heel she looked him in the eyes...Howard felt the pain as she spoke...
"Bhaisa it's time... We need to complete the promise we had made... We owe it to her and we owe it to him... He deserves to know..."
He sighed as he watched the woman in front of him she had aged gracefully yet she had not lost her strength... She had been a fighter then and was... But Howard knew she was right it was time to end this game of cat and mouse for his Sunny deserved better far better then he had been bestowed with so far...
"Bhabi saah... But how? He sighed...
"It's like we said we can run but we cannot hide... It's time we unlock the door and for that we start with your entry at the party... We have been burnt once but we won't let it beat us twice... For it's time we seek those out whom set ablaze these flames and remind them of what they have done.. Be ready as my son Aadarsh will meet you tomorrow with the rest of the details it's time we welcome you into the family properly haina Bhai Saab ..." Anupurma smiled as she spoke...
"But you do realise that with this some have more to lose then others... There will be lives destroyed, relationships questions and loyalties tested... Are you prepared for it Anu? Are you prepared to lose it all?"he stuttered...
" I was living no scratch that I was breathing for this day... A woman can forgive all as a daughter, sister and wife but a mother can never forgive herself for watching the pain of another mother... If this is what has to happen to seek closure so let it be...." He could feel her determination as she placed her palm on his hand...
"So it shall be done.." Howard smiled as he rested his palm above hers gently reassuring her he would be there... He had lost it all in this city all those years ago and maybe tomorrow would bring him the closure he so needed...
For on one side a new relationship had been created... It flourished to blossom where another shattered and others seeked redemption for the twilight was indeed the final twirl towards the ultimate leap of sacrifice but whom would be making this choice only time would tell for there lives had just become far more intertwined then they first had hoped they would become...
