What would make you feel like a successful author?
Successful is a hard term to define in writing. On paper feeling like a successful author would happen if I ever got published, and if I could make a living from writing stories. However, the more I write, the more I realise that this isn't the only path to success. In ten years time, if I'm still getting the response and support from people on Wattpad that I'm getting now, I'll consider that successful.
What is your favourite thing about Wattpad?
The stories themselves aside, the best thing about Wattpad simply has to be the people. Having such a special, diverse, amazing group of tight-knit writers all in one place is just such a pleasure to be a part of. There is always someone new to talk to, always something new to read, and always something new to learn. I have made great friends with people I would have otherwise never met, and that is all down to the community spirit built here on Wattpad. Other writers are never seen as competition or competitors, they are friends, colleagues, and the best cheering squad ever.
What is your favourite thing that you have written?
My favourite thing and my best thing are very different, but if we're talking about favourite then I would have to say Death After Death, book two in the Life After Death series. While book one will always hold a special place in my heart, as my first ever writing project, I feel like book two has to be my favourite. Not only did I really find my writing groove in this second novel, but I got to expand on the world that I had created, and introduce some amazing new characters.
What is your favourite Harry Potter book?
Wow. Hitting me with the hard questions now. I would have to say that it's between the Philosopher's Stone (for nostalgia reasons) and The Order of the Phoenix. But there isn't a bad book in the entire series!
What are your favourite and least favourite book to film adaptations?
Least favourite is easy! Growing up as a kid, I was obsessed with the Darren Shan vampire series. They are just such amazing young adult horror books and you should totally check them out if you've never read them. Unfortunately the film was absolute shit, and rightly they never made any more.
My favourite book to film adaptation... that's tough. I'll have to just name a few. Harry Potter, naturally, Fight Club, Stand By Me, Silver Linings Playbook, The Maze Runner, Lord of the Rings, I'm sure that I'm forgetting many good ones.
