After Yibo set off in a huff from his father's and Ana's house, he just wanted to get home to his mom. He felt sorry for her because her husband, his father, had fallen for such a cheap trick by Ana, destroying not only his marriages but the whole family, and doesn't even seem to realize it yet.

He had been so angry that he yelled at his father, which was the first time he had ever done that. And he was so angry, in fact, that he probably would have hit him if he had heard just one more word out of the mouths of those two traitors. Yes that's exactly what his dad and mom Ana were, traitors! Because it's their fault that his family is broken and his mom is suffering!

The city had already come into view and Yibo's anger had still not subsided, when suddenly his cell phone rang. Actually, he never answered the phone at unknown numbers, but as angry as he was, the person who dared to annoy him would already see what he or she got out of it! Yibo was ready to beat the crap out of everyone that day!

However, when the caller said he was Zhan, Yibo not only had to suddenly brake sharply and bring his car to a stop, no, his anger was immediately extinguished. So he wouldn't just beat everyone up after all. Because Zhan, well, Zhan is an exception. Because Zhan is the only one Yibo would do anything for. Because Zhan is the one Yibo still, loves more than anything else.

And it is also Zhan why he has always regretted going to Seoul to fulfill his dream of being an idol. Because for this dream, he had to leave Zhan behind. And it was only in Seoul, after he had simply run away from home, that he realized that he was giving up one dream to make another come true. Only then did he realize that being with Zhan was as big a dream for him as becoming an idol.

So many times he wanted to go back to Zhan and apologize for everything and ask him for another chance. So many times he stood at the airport. And just as many times he didn't fly back, because he knew how much Zhan would hate him all the more for it if he had just given up on his dream after everything. And in Seoul he also realized that he should have talked to Zhan and explained it to him and that Zhan would have understood him 99% and even supported him.

But back then, that night when he suddenly panicked and realized everything he still wanted to do and achieve, he acted according to his age. Naively and impulsively. Today he knows it was wrong and he should have talked to Zhan and his parents. He knows he shouldn't have just run away. But at the time he panicked and believed that was the only way.

After the call from Zhan asking him to come to his secret base, Yibo not only finally had a reason to be happy again, but also made a plan on the way there. He wants Zhan back, come what may. But he's also aware that it won't be easy. And he doesn't even know yet if Zhan still feels anything at all for him. But he would find out as soon as he sees him. He knew that.

Besides, Yibo planned to openly state what he wanted from Zhan right away. He is no longer the same Yibo from back then and he wants to show and prove that to Zhan. And if he feels that Zhan still has feelings for him, he will do everything to get him back. Even if he would have to fight for it against the devil personally! He will get Zhan back!

Arriving at the secret base, Yibo immediately proved to himself that he doesn't just make empty promises, but keeps what he sets out to do. (See previous chapter) And when he faced Zhan and even hugged him, he could immediately feel that Zhan still loves him. Even though Zhan wouldn't admit it, of course. But knowing this meant to Yibo that he still had a chance to make everything good and maybe win Zhan back after all.

After talking with Zhan, Yibo headed home. His mom was sitting on the balcony enjoying the warm rays of the sun. Immediately, Yibo remembered why he had been in a bad mood that day and why he had been so angry. But while he had planned to tell his mom everything on the ride from the village to the city, he wasn't planning to do it now. She was already hurt enough and he didn't want her to suffer any more. Now it's up to his father to approach her and explain everything.

Yibo thought to himself that if his dad really still loves his mom as much as he did back then, he needs to sort things out himself and prove it to his mom that he still loves her and try to win her back. Therefore, he kept quiet to his mom about being with his dad and Ana, preferring to tell her about the call from Zhan and that the two of them were going to work together on a mission.

"I looked Zhan firmly in the eye when I told him that I would do anything for him and that I wanted him back." Said Yibo.

His mom, who had been listening silently the whole time as Yibo told her everything, suddenly took Yibo in her arms and replied, "Have I told you what a great son you are? I know you went to see your dad and told him what you thought. He called me earlier. And I know how hard that must have been for you. So now I'm even more happy for you that you have a chance to get close to Zhan again. And I wish from the bottom of my heart that he will forgive you and the two of you will get back together."

"You talked to Dad?" Yibo asked in amazement.

"Yes, and he told me everything. So the stuff about Ana, the brain tumor and when you told him what you thought and how that shook him up."

"I shook him awake?"

"At least that's what he said. He said after you told him what you thought, he thought about everything. Also because of the fact that Ana has been living untreated with a brain tumor for more than two years and yet she's doing very well. That's when it struck him, he says, how suspicious that is."

"And?"

"And he wanted to know from her which doctor she was seeing. So far, she's supposedly always had her doctor's appointments when your dad was at work and couldn't accompany her. And because she was always fine, your dad never worried about letting her go to the doctor alone. But because of you, he saw more clearly and wanted answers. She gave him the name of a doctor. Your dad searched for him on the internet and found out he was a urologist. Then he definitely knew she was lying."

"So what happens now?"

"He confronted her and told her to tell him the truth."

"What did she say?"

"She said, apparently, that she had always been very jealous and had been trying to get more attention from your father for years. But he wasn't giving it to her. That made her furious with anger and jealousy. She was desperate because she loves your father very much and wanted to finally have the attention from him that she felt she deserved. And the brain tumor idea probably came about when she was sick with the flu once and your dad stayed with her to take care of her. That's when she figured if she was really seriously ill, he'd always stay by her side and take care of her, and that she'd finally have the attention from your dad that she always wanted."

"Wow, I'm speechless."

"You know, your dad hasn't decided what to do with Ana yet. But he wants to do everything he can now to reunite the family. He wants his wives and kids to come back and for all of us to be together again."

"Mhhh..."

"I know you would prefer it to be a monogamous marriage. But this is nothing for me. Yes I too suffer from jealousy when I know your dad is with one of the other women or when he was there. But I still want this life. I love your dad and I love my sister wives and the kids. I want us to be one big family again. And so I'm going to move back into my house. I want to give your dad a chance to fix everything this way."

"And Ana?"

"That's what your dad will decide with us women. I think my sister wives and I are going to talk to her and hear what she has to tell us and then we'll decide with your dad what to do about Ana."

"Aren't you mad at her?"

"Oh yes I am. I'm very mad at her. And I won't be able to forgive her just like that either. But she did it because she loves your dad so much."

"But that doesn't give her the right to lie like that and destroy the whole family with it. And I think you have a too kind heart. If I were you, I would have slapped her a few times and kicked her out of the family with an ass kicking."

"Your other mothers will see it the same way I do. They too have kind hearts. But it's not just them. You know who else has a kind heart?"

"Who, Dad?"

"Yes, him too. But I'm talking about Zhan. I think he'll be able to forgive you eventually because he has a kind heart too. For him to let you participate in the mission is already a sign of that to me. But most of all, his kind heart is shown by the fact that he didn't even contradict you when you told him you wanted him back and wanted to prove to him that you deserved his love. He even let you hug him. Even though I'm sure he's still mad at you."

"I rather thought that I caught him off guard with my words and he didn't know what to say."

"Maybe that's one reason. But I think it was also because of his heart, which I'm sure is still full of love for you."

"How do you know?"

"Because I believe whoever loves you once will always do it."

"What I mean is that I think you guys are meant for each other. And if that's the case, he'll always love you, just like you'll always love him. Look, five years have passed and you haven't seen or spoken to Zhan once in those 5 years. Yet you still love him just as much as you did when you introduced him to us."

"Well mom. I only know one thing for sure right now. I will give everything I have to win Zhan back. If I do lose and he doesn't give me another chance, it's okay, because at least I'll have done my best. But of course I wish he will forgive me and give me one last chance."

"I hope you will succeed. So, now I'm going to pack."

"Do you want me to drive you home?"

"That would be good."

"Okay, I'll help you pack and then I'll drive you home. But mom? I'm already a little sad that you're leaving me again. It's going to be lonely here without you."

"You can come visit me anytime. And I'll miss you, too. But I belong home, and I wanted to give your father a chance to fix everything and reunite the family."

"Mn. It's okay, I understand you mom."

"Good, now let's pack." She said. She stroked Yibo's cheek and walked with him hand in hand to her room. They packed her belongings into her suitcases and then they set off for the village.

On the way to the village, Yibo and his mom sang Yibo's songs. They laughed and Yibo was happy to see his mom happy again. Something told him that his mom and dad would soon be who they once were. And that his dad will manage to reunite the family.
