Bulimia

TRIGGER WARNING!!!!!!!!
This chapter contains descriptions and mention of eating disorders like the one named in the title. If you are sensitive to this or feel that this will trigger a form of a relapse then please refrain from reading this chapter!! There is nothing in this chapter that contributes to the main plot, it solely focuses on Riki and his struggles/life/bond with his friends. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of this book. I will not take offense if you do not read this chapter :)

My eyes popped open at the sound of someone heaving. I got out of bed and went to my bathroom. I turned on the light and was horrified when I saw Riki hunched over my toilet, shaking as he vomited up the food he had eaten only a few hours earlier. My stomach churned as I ran over to him,

"Riki!!"

My tone held only worry and shock as I pulled him away from the toilet. He slumped into my arms and let me pull him back to the wall. I closed the lid and flushed before turning back to him,

"Are you okay? What happened?"

I asked, sorrow and concern filling my voice as I looked at the boy in front of me. When he spoke his voice was hoarse and broken,

"I made a mistake... I know I shouldn't have... I was just so hungry and upset I thought eating would help. My agent is gonna be so mad... he told me I'm not supposed to have more than 150 calories a day. I easily just had 200. I had to get rid of it..."

Riki trailed off as tears began to slip from his eyes. My heart clenched as I pulled him into a warm hug,

"Riki, you need to eat. Your agent is wrong. If you keep up like this you'll die and I don't want that. Quit your job if you have to but please stop this... you're going to get hurt if you don't..."

Riki held onto me in silence, letting my words sink in before he spoke,

"Are you worried about me, (Y/N)?"

He asked quietly. I nodded enthusiastically,

"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?"

I asked as I helped him up,

"Riki, I want you to be healthy. I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen. For now I want you to rest up. You've been through a lot today."

He laid back down on the couch and I pulled a blanket over him. As I was walking away he caught my hand,

"No one ever cared before. Thank you."

I smiled comfortingly at him,

"If you need anything I'll be in my room. Don't hesitate to come and get me, okay?"

He nodded in understanding, mixed emotions in his eyes as I walked back into my room, gently shutting the door before getting back into bed and drifting off to sleep.

When I woke up I immediately went to check on Riki. I was worried about him after last night and wanted to make sure he was alright. When I saw him sleeping on the couch I relaxed, glad to see he was still here and didn't decide to take off in the night. I decided to make a small fruit bowl for him and brought it over to my small coffee table. His eyes slowly blinked open when he heard me set it down,

"(Y/N)? What time is it?"

He asked sleepily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. I smiled happily,

"It's eight in the morning. I woke up a little bit ago and decided to make you some breakfast. After last night I want you eating."

He nodded slightly before speaking,

"Thank you for last night."

I moved to sit next to him before responding,

"It was no trouble. You're my friend, I don't want you to hurt yourself like that. It isn't healthy."

My tone was sympathetic as I met his gaze. Something flashed in his eyes but vanished as quickly as it surfaced. His eyes held only gratitude after that point,

"I never wanted the others to know about this. I always did it when they weren't home so they wouldn't know. I have a feeling Senri might know, though. He always seems to know everything that happens in that house."

I nodded in understanding,

"Maybe you should tell them. A support system is invaluable when you go through something like this. They care about you, Riki. Let them be there for you. No one was there for me when my parents died. I was all alone with no support system. Please, let them be yours."

My voice was soft and gentle as I spoke to him, grasping his hand and lightly squeezing it. He smiled warmly at me,

"W... will you help me tell them?"

I nodded,

"Of course. We can go right now."

He nodded slightly before responding quietly,

"I'd like that."

I gave him a quick hug,

"Let me grab my phone and then we'll head over. Sound good?"

He nodded again and I quickly grabbed my phone before we left my apartment. He had taken a bus to get here so he got into my car and we left for his house. I could tell he was scared and I tried to comfort him,

"It'll be okay. They'll be supportive. They want to be here for you."

I gripped his pale hand reassuringly and he managed to smile at me as we got out of the car. When we went inside, everyone was waiting for us. Senri was the first one to speak,

"Riki, where have you been? Why is (Y/N) with you?"

Riki shifted on his feet uncomfortably and I decided to help him come clean,

"Riki came to my apartment last night. We talked and I think he has something that he needs to tell you. All of you."

I turned to him and wrapped my arm around his shoulder,

"It's okay. You can tell them."

The others sat silent as they observed us, patiently waiting for him to speak. After about five minutes, he spoke,

"Guys... I'm bulimic."

The silence in the room was deafening as the other four males tried to process the information. This time it was March who spoke, the shock in his eyes matching that of his friends as he spoke,

"Riki... why didn't you tell us?.."

His tone held nothing but pain and sympathy for his friend. Senri was the next to speak, his tone held more anger,

"Did you really think we wouldn't care? That we wouldn't want to help you?"

Senri walked over to him and, to everyone's surprise, pulled him into a tight hug,

"We've been friends for six years. You should know by now that if no one else will be here, I will. I always will. And I'd like to think that the rest of us have proven that we care about you. If you're suffering let us help you."

His concern for Riki began to seep through his angry facade as his voice cracked halfway through his statement. Riki slowly hugged Senri back as he began to cry softly. I rubbed his back comfortingly,

"You're friends are here for you now. It's going to be okay I promise."

Riki's right arm fell from Senri only to have his hand lock with mine. He spoke to us, his voice soft and strained, but we knew he meant it,

"Thank you.."
