Chapter 22

A man stood at the door practically glaring at me. He looked like he was in his forties and his eyes looked like Sonia's. There was no resemblance between him and Austin which struck me a little considering I thought Austin might have resembled his dad.

"Martin, not now please."

Aunt Grace said to the person who is probably Austin's dad as I moved away from her.

"Ouh really, don't I have the right to know all the kind of things that happen in my house or the type of people you bring inside?"

He asked looking at me from top to bottom. One thing I happen to hate pretty much. As if I looked disgusting or something.

"Ali let's go to my room. Some folks are just not worth listening to."

He said getting hold of my hand while glaring at his dad who glared back at him.

He walked upstairs still holding my hand as I followed him when he suddenly stopped and looked back.

"Ouh and Martin, Alice is my girlfriend and whether you like it or not you have to respect that."

No dad or father, just Martin. Interesting. He said and we walked straight to his room. He opened the door and slammed it hard after we entered.

He looked so angry and I didn't even know what to say to him.

"I'm not so sure you were supposed to say that."

I decided to say.

"And why is that?"

He asked totally annoyed.

"It's pretty evident he doesn't like me and you just worsened it by calling me your girlfriend."

I said sitting on the bed where he was laying.

"So?"

"So nothing. I just told you that I don't think you were supposed to say that."

I replied getting annoyed with his responses.

"I don't care about what you think Ali. I said what I wanted to say, got that?"

"Yeah, I surely get it."

I said totally pissed now. What have I really gotten myself into? Dating the bad boy. Although it's all fake, people won't have to know that because if Ashley gets to know that we're just faking everything, she won't hesitate to tell aunt Grace and that's the last thing I need.

"You know what, I'm leaving. You did what you wanted to do which was introduce your fake girlfriend to your mother so I'm leaving."

I said putting emphasis on fake girlfriend as I stood up while Austin said nothing. Really now? Just then, the door opened and aunt Grace walked in.

"Alice I'm really sorry about what happened down-"

"No aunt. You don't have to apologise for nothing. It's okay."

I smiled.

"Really?"

"Yes really. I really don't mind."

"If that's the case then you'll have to eat the meal I prepared. That way you'll prove that I really shouldn't apologise."

She said and I froze for a while but recovered quickly. Mr Martin will surely be there.

"And don't worry about Martin okay. Just try not to take anything he says to heart okay?"

She said assuringly and I nodded.

"Ofcourse. I definitely want to taste your meal."

I said with a smile suddenly getting excited. She surely must be a good cook.

"Austin-"

"I'm not going."

He quickly cut his mom off. He was still laying on the bed and I shook my head at how bad he was. Here I was, willing to eat with his dad just for his mother's sake and he wasn't even making an effort.

"Austin you have to. Alice even agreed for my sake. That should mean something shouldn't it?"

"So Alice tell us about your parents."

Mr Martin said and I wondered what I'll even say.

"Well there's not much to say about them. My mom's name is Faith and my dad is Rodrigo Raymond. He's the director of the Passion theatre just around the corner."

I said taking a gulp of juice from my glass without looking at Mr Martin. He's been shooting me death glares since I've arrived and it's making me uncomfortable.

"You literally didn't say a thing about your mom."

He said and I froze. Just the question I didn't want to answer. I glanced at Austin and he was staring at me with an expression I couldn't quite read.

"C'mon tell us about your dear mommy Alice."

He pushed probably noticing my discomfort at the mention of my mother.

"Leave it Martin. What else do you wanna know? Her parents are Rodrigo and Faith. Simple. Instead tell me Alice, how did you and Austin meet."

She asked and I silently thanked her for saving me from this obnoxious man.

"We met in detention aunt. Then we were punished to have tutoring lessons where I had to tutor him and somehow somehow that led to me being his girlfriend.

I said with a bright smile staring at aunt who seemed quite happy.

"Wow. Detention, tutoring, pretty interesting. So how are the tutoring lessons going?"

Aunt asked.

"I'm in no manner going to have my one and only son tutored, especially by someone like this."

He said staring at me with distaste. If he weren't Austin's father, I'd definitely put him in his place for treating me like some piece of crap.

"Don't worry about that Mr Martin, I realised your one and only son was too smart to be tutored by someone like me so we ended the lessons. Happy?"

I said calmly staring at the man. I glanced at aunt who looked slightly disappointed.

"Don't you worry aunt, he surely did learn something and I'm positive his grades will be much higher this time."

I said smirking a little at Austin who shook his head lightly as if I were crazy. I like teasing him about that, Alice improving the bad boy's grades.

"And mom, if we continue the tutoring lessons which happen in a bedroom, we might just end up doing something else, something better, something-"

"Austin."

Aunt gave him a warning look and he smirked at me while I glared at him.

"I thought so."

Mr Martin, scratch that, Martin said with distaste.

"You thought what Mr?"

I asked in the same tone as his.

"That you're a bitch or so."

He answered making me regret why I even asked.

"Ouh really, I didn't quite figure that out yet. And for the record it takes a bitch to know a bitch. If you know what I mean."

I said staring him dead in the eye not giving a care in the world if he was Austin's dad or not. I felt like I was dealing with another version of Ashley. I'm just glad Sonia isn't here right now.

I glanced at aunt who looked pretty amused which proved she wasn't upset about the way I answered her husband. I glanced at Austin who seemed to be stifling his laugh. Good.

"Ouh and Mr Martin, I like you pretty much and I'm sure we'll get a long just fine."

I said taking a bite from my meat. He looked pretty angry while I just sat there smirking at him. This time Austin laughed softly which only made my satisfaction grow.
