Tomiwa's distress could be sensed from every angle. She was sipping one of the most sugary cocktails but the way her bottom lip kept jotting out at intervals made it look like the content was tasteless. Bland.

She swirled the straw she was using to sip the contents with the speed of a snail. Her sluggish movements made it obvious that she was lost in thought, recalling the horrendous news her father broke to her.

"......we've come to a definitive conclusion to get you and Femi married."

She could swear her father was joking. She stared at him for a while to see if his expression would change to an amused one but when it remained stoic, she knew she was in for a 'forced marriage'. The remaining part of the drama played in her head as she took another series of tiny sips from the drink in front of her.
.

"Listen Tomiwa, that's the best resolution currently and you know how profitable this will be for both this company and theirs. After the wedding, you and Femi will move to Abuja so that you both can manage it well."

Her dad was sounding too serious for her liking. What does forming a merger have to do with marriage? Her father had definitely lost his way. "But dad, I and Femi... we can still manage it perfectly well without compulsorily having to get married and..."

"Tomiwa, you are getting married to Femi. You will listen to me and do as I say."

"Yes dad." Her head was bowed in defeat. She knew better than to keep up with the already lost argument.
.

Tobi watched her sigh for the upteenth time in barely five minutes and his eyes remained on her face with his eyebrows raised.

"What?" Tomiwa didn't appreciate her elder brother staring at her like a creep.

"I should be asking you the same thing. You dragged me out of my photoshoot session and you've not said a word since we got here." Tomiwa remained silent, still sipping her cocktail.

Her rebellious brother wouldn't understand.

"Did your new boyfriend break up with you...." He paused, a smirk finding its way to his lips, "Or..... Are you pregnant?"

The content in Tomiwa's mouth flew out as quickly as she took it in. She had a hand on her chest as she tried to cough out the little that went into the wrong pipe.

The corners of Tobi's lips curled, involuntarily- and he fought back hard as his cheeks swelled momentarily with the pressure- but it was no use. His laughter erupted, annoying the hell out of Tomiwa as he bent over to retrieve a tissue.

Tomiwa stretched her hand and accepted the tissue from Tobi, using it to wipe off the remnants of the spilled liquid on her face and red dress. Her eyes flickered to his with a glare, "Tobi, you're mad. Very very mad."

"This small thing, you don dey vex."

"Fimisile johh. I'm here thinking of how to escape this forced marriage thing and you're busy disturbing me."

"Which forced marriage?" He pushed his seat, leaning towards her, his eyes drooling with inquisitiveness.

Tomiwa gritted her teeth in annoyance, "Tobi, can you just believe dad?" She took in a deep breath trying to calm herself down. "He wants me to get married to a stranger. A. Total. Stranger."

"Is that why you're stressing yourself? Just tell him you can't do it. Simple." Tobi shrugged, relaxing back into his seat.

She groaned in frustration. What was she thinking telling the rebellious sheep of the family?

Tobi did things his own way. He discarded being the heir to his father's company just because he loved modelling. As much as his father was firmly against it, he couldn't do anything to stop him because he was doing very well in it. Tobi was one of the few internationally recognized models from Africa. He didn't need to prove anything, his face card spoke for him.

"Really, Tobi? You of all people should know how stubborn dad can be." She sighed, massaging her temples. "Dad should just allow me to make this one decision for myself. For crying out loud, he has been making all the decisions for me and not once have I objected."

"Me I cannot get married to that bare faced moron o. Not like he's even fine sef." She added.

Tobi stood up and pulled his seat beside his little sister. He knew exactly what she needed at the moment. He opened his arms wide and she fell into his embrace, breaking into sobs.

"It'll be fine, my love. You're smart and I trust you to come up with a plan or something."

"You know dad, you know how difficult he can be. I really don't want to rebel like a certain someone."

Tobi rolled his eyes, he knew she was referring to him. Obviously. "I will soon leave you here to cry o. Ah ahhn!"

"I just wish mum was here." Tomiwa's fragile voice came out as a whisper.

"I'm sure she'll be proud of you wherever she is. You're doing a great job in taking care of us all." Tobi smiled as memories of their late mother flashed through his eyes. Tomiwa only sobbed more into his chest. They remained in silence for as long as their hearts wanted.

"I'm hungry," Tomiwa pouted.

Tobi chuckled, "This is very unlike you. I'm really excited you are." This statement only earned him a glare from Tomiwa.

"Madam Nadia," Tobi called out and the waiter hurried over to them, "Please bring the usual. Our madam has decided to eat today."

A club was all Tomiwa could think of that night and thanks to Tife, she was sitting at the bar of one of the most popular ones, supping a glass of whiskey. Tife was seated beside her, gaping at two horny adults assault themselves shamelessly on the open dance floor.

"Na wa! Somebody cannot bless his eyes with good things again for this life. Stupid people just full everywhere." Tife demonstrated with her hands as she spoke.

Tomiwa chuckled, "Tife you're in a club. You signed up for this when you decided to bring yourself here."

An intentional painful smack came down on Tomiwa's lap and she groaned, massaging the affected area. Tife had no idea how painful those little palms of hers could get when swung forcefully, especially on a soft skin like Tomiwa's.

"Shut up, you bad child. Are you not the one that brought me here?" Tife argued, dragging her lips in a hiss. Tomiwa rolled her eyes, adjusting into her seat.

"Anyways, back to the issue on ground. What did you say you were going to do concerni....." Tife trailed off. Tomiwa was no longer paying attention to whatever she was saying. Her eyes remained on a chocolate god who just walked into the club, following his every move.

Tife's palm was in the air ready to give Tomiwa another smack but a warning glare moved it back to its original position.

"Ire!"

"What?" Tomiwa's brows bumped together in a scowl. She returned her attention to the position where she last saw the chocolate god but he was no longer there.

Tife!

She emptied her glass of whiskey in one gulped and wiped off her mouth with a serviette. She pushed herself down from the stool, squinting her eyes like the short-sighted person she was. At that point, she regretted not wearing her contact lenses. "Tife, wait here. I'm coming."

"Ire, where are.... Oh God!" Tomiwa had already disappeared.

Her legs moved quickly into the crowd, her eyes searching for her chocolate god. The frown on her face morphed into a beautiful smile.

There he was.

He was clad in a black long sleeve shirt with the three first buttons open, displaying his perfect workout chest tucked into a navy blue suit trouser. His perfectly connected well trimmed beards and 6ft2 statue got Tomiwa's heart dancing in her chest.

Sweet Jesus! This is what they call a spec and more.

He was seated in one of the VVIP areas, a bottle of the 2019 Aubert Wines Lauren Vineyard Chardonnay and a wine glass on a table in front of him. The scowl on his lips made it obvious that he didn't want to be disturbed but Tomiwa was a nutcase on her own. He didn't scare her one bit.

"Are you a journalist? Because I want to be the only person in your media." Tomiwa dropped one of her infamous cheesy lines as she jammed the door shut behind her. He glared at her, his hard and unyielding eyes making her melt under his gaze.

"Didn't you read the sign? Or have you forgotten how to read the English alphabet?" His voice was soft, but the depth caused it to vibrate deep within her chest walls. He took a sip from his glass and pointed at the sign written in capital letters at the entrance of the VVIP area. "It says 'NO VISITORS ALLOWED'."

"Is it wrong for a beautiful lady like me to try to woo you?"

His eyes clouded with amusement, the lady was an interesting one. "No, it's not...." Tomiwa smiled but his expression remained stoic, "It's shameful."

Tomiwa made herself comfortable beside him, "Then I don't mind being shameless for you." His lips moved into a smile but it was gone as soon as it came.

"I'm Iretomiwa Williams." She stretched her hands towards him for a handshake. He stared at a hand like it was a plaque, refusing to accept the handshake. Tomiwa dropped her hands in embarrassment. He was a very proud one. Just when she was contemplating how she would leave without embarrassing herself further, she felt his voice vibrate within her chest walls again.

"Let's keep my name a secret. How about we fuck instead?"
