I was sitting at my desk, staring out the window. My 16th birthday wasn't very far away, and all I could focus on was the ever nearing end of the school semester. My teacher was spouting that general crap at the final day of each school year, about how they'll miss us (spoiler: they won't), our summer break homework, etc.. The final bell rang and everyone got up and left. Summer break was upon me, and I had no idea how I would spend it. Probably with my friends and online.

As I go to leave, James (or as I call him, James the Jackass) confronted me. He was your stereotypical brawn over brains bully that you would expect. "Hey pipsqueak, where do you think you're going?" He said snarkily. "Leaving school, jackass." "Heh, wanna say goodbye to your old friend locker first?" As he pushes me towards my locker. I was not having any of his shit, but he's about as strong as a fuckin bear, so there's not much I could do.

Then the "Strange Kid" (nobody ever found out his name, he's very secretive) walks up and says "Hey James, leave 'er alone, ya dickhead." "Heh, and what are you gonna do about it?".

The strange kid then proceeds to kick him in the face.

Everyone in the hall is now watching this fight, as James throws a punch and the kid grabs it and flings it to the side.

Eventually James backs off, and the crowd leaves.

"Hey, thanks kid." I say to him.

"No problem. And, please, call me Atlas." The boy responds.

He walks off, but I have a feeling I'll be seeing him again.
