【SEASON 6 EPISODE 9: PART ONE】
Jules didn't go back to bed after Robby came over. After pacing around the room for about ten minutes to calm the anger brewing in her stomach toward Zara, she got changed into her clothes for the day.
When Sam and Devon started to wake up and wonder why Robby was there, Jules came up with a lie and told them he didn't want to share a room with only Demetri and Eli while they were arguing.
As they started to get ready for the day too, Sam's phone beeped from the nightstand.
Jules heard a quiet, "that's mine!" from the bathroom before Sam came running out, her toothbrush dangling from her mouth. Jules laughed from her spot next to Lexi and watched as Sam read over her text, her face hardening.
"What is it?" Jules asked as Devon walked out of the bathroom, finishing up her morning routine.
Sam was about to answer before she realized she still had her toothbrush in her mouth. She sighed, handing Devon her phone to read as she quickly went to finish brushing her teeth.
"Mr. LaRusso all wants us to meet at the boys room. Said there's something we should know." Devon explained, looking up at Jules, who squinted at the text. "He didn't say if it was an emergency or anything?"
Devon shook her head, handing the phone to Jules so she could read it. Jules read over the text as Sam came back into the room. "Should we wake up Lex and Robby?" Sam asked, heading straight for Robby in Julianna's bed.
Jules practically jumped out of Lexi's bed to stop Sam, startling her and Devon. Jules froze, trying to hide her persistence. She opened and closed her mouth, trying to come up with words before she looked down at Robby.
She frowned at how is eyebrows were furrowed together and the corner of his lips were tugged down even in his sleep. Jules turned back to Sam and shook her head. "Let's have them rest some more. We can fill them in after."
Sam hesitated, squinting out of confusion as to why Jules didn't want to wake up Robby. But she could also see the eagerness in the blondes eyes and even though she didn't know why Jules wanted to let Robby sleep, she trusted Jules to believe it was a good reasoning.
Sam nodded her head, looking back and forth between Devon and Jules. "Are you guys ready then?" She asked and Jules quickly slipped on her shoes, nodding her head as Devon muttered a small "yep."
As the three walked out of the room and toward the boys room down the hall, Jules noticed Devon's eyes dart everywhere and her hands shake at her sides. Jules eyed the girl for a few seconds before she spoke up. "What's going on with you?"
Devon took a deep breath and turned to face Jules and Sam. "I'm not sure what Sensei LaRusso is calling us there for but I need to fess up to you guys." Devon said, cracking her knuckles out of stress.
Jules let out a tiny gasp, making Sam elbow her in the ribs so Devon wouldn't hear her.
Devon kept her eyes on her hands, still trying to crack her knuckles even after they all cracked. "I'm not competing in the Sekai Taikai anymore and Kenny is taking my spot because technically I took his and Lexi's spot away first." She blurted, her words jumbling together. When Jules and Sam didn't respond, her eyes moved up to the girls.
Sam and Julianna's eyebrows furrowed, both confused by what Devon meant. Jules looked to Sam before she turned back to Devon, shaking her head. "Dev, what are you talking about?"
Devon stopped walking, making Jules and Sam immediately skid to a stop after her. "I'm the one that put laxatives in Kenny's water and I screwed up the trail so Lexi wouldn't find the flags." Devon explained, her words slower than before.
Sam blinked in shocked as Jules brought her thumb nail up to her mouth, biting on it to hold back any laughter. Sam tried her hardest to ignore Jules beside her, knowing if she looked at the blonde, she might start laughing too.
She kept her eyes on Devon, her eyebrows furrowing. "Do Kenny and Lexi know this?" Sam asked and Devon nodded. "And our senseis." Devon clarified.
Sam and Devon both turned to Jules, who locked her lisp to hold back any smile. Julianna looked back and forth between Sam and Devon before she pursed her lips and shrugged. "Commitment. I admire it." Jules muttered, continuing to walk down the hallway.
...
After Devon told her and Sam about what she did to earn a spot at the Sekai Taikai, Jules expected Daniel called them all to the boys room to tell them that.
Not that Terry Silver was back as the owner of the Iron Dragons.
Jules was sitting on Miguel and Hawk's shared bed with Eli and Devon while Sam and Demetri sat on the other bed. Julianna leaned back into her the bed, her head gently hitting the headboard as she sighed. "Gotta say, I'm glad Anthony isn't back." She muttered as she got comfortable in the bed.
Daniel snapped his head to the blonde, an offended look on his face. "Hey!" He yelled and Julianna rolled her eyes, waving the man off.
"Not your kid! The one who got locked up for attempted murder." Jules clarified as if it was obvious, which in her mind, it was. Eli rolled his eyes from beside her, leaning toward her so only she could hear him.
"Knock on wood." He muttered and Julianna's eyes became comically wide and she rolled over and knocked on the wooden headboard behind her.
When she rolled back to lay normally, the bedroom door opened and Johnny, Miguel, and Kenny walked in.
"We're back, bitches, eager to kick ass. Who's ready to win this thing?" Johnny cheered and win no one matched his enthusiasm—the closest was Jules giving the three of them a smile—Johnny's face fell. "What crawled up everyone's butts?"
Daniel sighed. He turned to Chozen beside him and the man nodded his head. Daniel turned back to Johnny, he and Chozen walking toward him. "Let's talk outside." Daniel muttered, nodding his head toward the hallway.
Confused, Johnny nodded and followed the two men out. Once the door closed behind their sensei's, Miguel and Kenny walked further into the room.
"What's happening?" Miguel asked as he started to set his things down on his and Eli's bed.
Jules wanted to snicker, thinking it was impossible that Kreese and Silver were back, but in reality, she was a little nervous. "Silvers back." She grumbled, sitting up and tossing her legs over the edge of the bed.
Miguel and Kenny's eyes could've popped out of their heads from how wide they got. "What?" They both whispered shouted and Jules sighed, running her fingers through her hair.
"Yep. Apparently that's why Mr. LaRusso missed the platform challenges. Silver kidnapped him." Jules said and when she saw the shocked look on Miguel's face she nodded. "I know. I wish I was joking."
Miguel stood there for a moment, his mouth opening and closing in shock as he looked around everyone else in the room. It was then that he noticed the two people missing.
He blinked and looked around the room one more time in case he missed them, but when he didn't see them again, Miguel turned back to Julianna. "Where's Lexi and Robby?"
Kenny started to walk towards the table in the corner to unpack and Devon nervously walked toward him as Jules answered Miguel. "Back at my room. They're both asleep still." Jules turned to Sam next to her and shrugged. "Mr. LaRusso didn't say how important this meeting was so we figured we'd just fill them in when we got back."
Jules looked back and forth between Miguel and Demetri, noticing that Demetri kept glaring at something behind her. She whipped her head around to see what Demetri was looking at and only saw Devon and Kenny talking to each other.
"What?" Jules whisper yelled, knocking Demetri out of his gaze. He turned to face Jules completely, his eyebrows furrowed. "If Miguel's back, why is Kenny here?" He whispered so Kenny wouldn't hear him.
"Devon admitted to cheating to get a spot here, so she's giving it to Kenny." Sam explained and Hawk squinted from next to Jules, looking back at forth between Sam and Julianna. "Wait. How did she cheat?"
"She put the laxatives in Kenny's drink and she apparently fucked up the trail so Lexi wouldn't find the flags." Jules muttered. She started to stand up, ready to head back to her room if that was all they were needed for.
Demetri scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief as Jules threw on her sweater. "What, so he just forgave her all of a sudden? After what she did? I don't buy it." Demetri breathed out when suddenly, his eyes widened as a thought popped into his head and just before Jules could walk past him, Demetri stood up, blocking her from leaving. Julianna rolled her eyes, crossing her arms as she waited to hear what Demetri had to say.
"Jules, as our only captain without a soft spot for Kenny, I feel obligated to inform you that we may have a potential traitor in our midst." Demetri whispered, his eyes glued on Julianna to show his seriousness.
Jules stared at Demetri for a second, making the boy believe that she was on his side.
But then, Jules scoffed and started to walk away. "Yeah, I'm not jumping to any conclusions." She muttered and Demetri quickly reached out and grabbed her elbow, stopping her again. "Look, I'm not saying it's happened yet. All I'm saying is we know that Silver is gonna cheat. The only question is, how?" He said, his eyes moving to Kenny one last final time.
Julianna turned around to watched Kenny and Devon talk. She had to admit, Demetri was right about Silver finding a way to cheat, but she didn't think Kenny was it. Her eyes squinted and without saying another word, she walked out of the room.
...
"Top eight dojos, welcome to our final group event."
Julianna's heart sank at those words. This competition would be the last time she got to compete with Lexi, and Miguel, and everyone. No more All Valleys, hopefully no more school fights; this was it.
Her stomach tugged and her hand nervously wrapped around herself as she stared up at the woman announcing the next round.
"Over the course of the tournament, you have each proven yourselves worthy of your place on the leaderboard. And after today, only the best of the best will gain entry into our tournament of champions. Now, here are the rules for this round... Each team will face three opponents, determined by random draw in an all-dojo tag team competition! Two fighters are inside the ring. One from each dojo at a time. The other fighters remain outside, waiting to be tagged in by their teammate."
A giggle on Julianna's right made her turn her head and immediately, all the sadness she was feeling was gone and her jaw clenched at the sight of Zara, laughing and muttering to her teammate about how easy it was going to be to win this competition.
Jules let out an angry breath, glaring at the girl. "She better hope we don't have to fight them." She muttered under her breath, but Johnny, who was standing right beside her, heard Julianna's words.
He looked back and forth between his daughter and Zara, his face scrunched. "What?" He asked.
Julianna's head snapped up at the sound of her dads voice. Her mouth opened, struggling to come up with words before she decided to just shake her head. "Nothing." She muttered, turning back to the announcer.
"Fighting will be continuous. No stoppages, no timeouts. So use your teammates wisely. The first dojo to score three points wins the match. By the end of today, your captains will either be fighting in the tournament of champions or be eliminated, watching from the sidelines. May the best dojos win."
Miyagi-Do didn't end up fighting Iron Dragons. Instead, Miyagi-Do was called up to face Furia de Pantera.
Demetri was the first to be in the center, fighting Furia de Pantera's male captain, Diego.
When the fight started, Demetri was the one to run at Diego, throwing as many kicks as he could towards the boy and backing him up into Sam so he couldn't tag anyone out.
But while blocking all of Demetri's kicks, Diego ducked under one of them and while coming back up, he tried to punch Demetri in the chest. Demetri was able to block it, but he stumbled back a couple of steps.
Diego came running at Demetri, throwing punches and kicks left and right. Demetri was blocking all of them perfectly and even though she was in arms reach to switch places with the boy, she didn't feel the need to call his name and tag him out. He was holding off on his own extremely well.
"Demetri! Hey, tag me in!" Eli yelled, thinking the complete opposite as his girlfriend as he leaned forward with his hand out as far as he could reach so Demetri could easily turn around and switch places with him.
Demetri kept his eyes on Diego and shook his head. "No! I got it!" Demetri yelled, turning his head so his voice could reach Eli, but his eyes never leaving Diego.
He blocked another handful of punches and kicks and as time went on, Jules started to notice Demetri starting to get tried out.
Just incase, she leaned forward, her arm stretched out and in Demetri's line of sight if he needed it. She opened her mouth to call his name, but Eli beat her to it, sounding more annoyed than anything.
"Demetri, tag me in!"
Demetri groaned, turning all of his attention away from Diego to look at Hawk. "No!" He snapped, not noticing Diego running at him.
"Demetri!" Jules yelled, snapping the boy back into the fight, but it was too late, Diego kicked Demetri in the face, knocking him down to the floor by Julianna.
"Point!" The referee yelled and Jules glared at the boy groaning at her feet.
"Shit!" Demetri yelled, his eyes closed as he reached for the back of his head in pain. When he opened his eyes, Jules leaned over him, her hand stuck out for him to hit.
"Will you tag me in?" Jules grumbled, her voice low to the boy as she crouched down a little, her hand out for Demetri to hit. Demetri looked up to see who was talking to him and instantly slapped Julianna's hand, tagging her in just as Diego tagged in Maria.
Jules looked up at who she'd be fighting as she stepped into the center/ When her eyes locked with Maria's Jules let out a small breath at the look on the girls face.
She didn't know why Maria was so scared of her. Jules accidentally ripped Cara's hair and in her opinion, what she said to Maria the night before at the bar wasn't anything threatening.
Despite all of that, Jules had to think about this fight. Her team needed this win. And watching Maria in front of her, Jules could tell the girl was hesitant to make the first move.
So Julianna ran at the girl.
Maria barely dodged Jules' first strike—a low kick—and stumbled as she backed up.
After a couple seconds of pulling herself together, Maria was able to pick herself back up and not only block all of Julianna's hits, but attempt to send her own as well.
The two girls went back and forth trying to land a point on each other, but they both blocked every move perfectly. Jules threw her leg up and toward Maria's head, but Maria ducked under it.
When she came back up, she tried to use the same move on Jules but with a punch instead. Julianna raised her arm, her forearm blocking the punch. Maria kicked her leg out and Jules jumped back.
Having some distance from Jules now, Maria dropped to the floor and moved her same leg to try and sweep Julianna's feet out from under him.
"Shit!" Jules muttered to her self, jumping over Maria's legs just before her legs were knocked out from under her.
While in the air, Julianna raised one knee to her chest and pushed her foot out, kicking Maria right in the face.
Julianna landed on the floor kneeling, one hand on the ground beside her to catch herself as Maria fell back.
"Point!" The referee yelled and Julianna took a deep breath, pushing herself back up into a standing position. Her fists were raised by her face defensively and she bounced back and forth between her feet.
"Maria!" One of Maria's teammates yelled from her right and Julianna's left. Jules watched and Maria started to run to the boy to tag him in.
Jules practically jumped toward the two, hoping to block Maria's tag, but seconds before Julianna's leg could kick Maria's hand away from the boys, she tagged the boy in.
The boy replacing Maria stepped into the circle and Jules finally got to notice how much taller and bigger he was than her. He immediately jumped and kicked his leg out, hoping to kick Jules in the face.
"Shit!" Jules yelled, jumping back and barely dodging the kick. She raised her fists to block any other moves that he may throw at her, not wanting to run at him yet until she knew how he fought.
He continued to only try and kick Jules, never doing anything with his fists or upper body.
Jules licked her lips, trying to think of a way to use this to her advantage. Her attention stayed trained on the boys legs and she blocked two of the boys kicks left and right, leaving his chest completely open.
Julianna was ready to punch the boy in the stomach, but his foot came swinging towards her again. This time, his foot grazed the floor, hoping to sweep Julianna's legs out from under her.
She jumped over the boys leg and raised her own, striking him right in the chest.
"Point!" The referee called as the boy hit the floor, landing on his back. Jules let out a tired breath, blowing fallen hair from her french braids out of her face.
"Right behind you, baby!" Jules heard from about a foot behind her.
Julianna turned her head and locked eyes with Eli, his hand stretched out for her to tag. Jules didn't even look back at the boy she was fighting, tagging in Eli.
As Jules took Eli's spot on the edge of the circle, Hawk ran at the boy who was still in the process of getting up. Hawk jumped and sent two kicks back to back toward the boy, one aimed at his side and another at the head, but the boy blocked both.
He tried to punch Hawk in the face, but Hawk raised his arms, blocking the boys fists from hitting him. While Hawk had his hands up, the boy he was fighting thought Hawk wouldn't be able to see his next move, his arms blocking his vision.
He went to kick Eli, but the Moskowitz boy dropped his arms just as the boys foot came barreling toward his side. Hawk grabbed the boys leg just before he could get hit and the boy rolled out of his grasp.
The boy ended up a few feet away from Eli, in a spider-man pose. Jules let out a small breath, shocked by the boys move. "Oh my God..." She whispered.
"Hawk, tag me in!" Kenny screamed as the boy on the mat with Eli started to slowly make his way toward Hawk, almost as if he were crawling toward him.
Hawk froze, his eyes jumping back and forth between Kenny and his opponent. Julianna's eyes widened at her boyfriend, her jaw slacked at his frozen demeanor.
"Eli! What are you doing? Tag Kenny in!" Jules yelled, pointing at Kenny from where she stood. Eli's eyes snapped to Jules before she noticed his eyes move to another person that wasn't her, Kenny, or the boy he was fighting.
Julianna's eyes followed Hawk's until they landed on Demetri across the circle from Kenny. He was shaking his head aggressively, waving his hand against his next to signal Eli not to tag Kenny in. Julianna's jaw clenched and her hands turned into fists by her side as Hawk actually listened to Demetri.
Instead of running toward Kenny, Hawk ran toward Robby, tagging him even though he didn't have his hand out.
Eli took Robby's spot, ultimately pushing Robby into the center. "Eli!" Jules screamed as Robby threw his arms out in the air, his jaw dropped. "What are you doing?" Robby yelled, looking back to Hawk just as the boy he was fighting swept Robby's legs out from under him.
Julianna's head dropped and her hands went to her face, hiding behind her hands with two of her fingers moved so she could watch the scene through her hands.
When Robby hit the floor, the boy he was fighting got onto the ground beside him and punched him in the stomach.
"Point!" The referee yelled and Jules covered her face completely, holding back the urge to scream into her hands.
While Robby started to slowly get up, the boy he was fighting quickly tagged in another one of his teammates.
"Robby, get up!" Lexi screamed from behind him, trying to get the boys attention so he can get up faster. He shot up immediately, not even wanting to know why Lexi was screaming at him, but since she was closest to him, Robby turned on his heels and made a beeline toward her.
Lexi had her arm stretched as far as she could for Robby to tag her in as he ran toward her. Just before he could tag Lexi in, Robby's hand was kicked away from Lexi.
Lexi groaned as Robby stumbled back and was punched in the stomach.
"Point! Winner!"
"Team Pantera with an impressive victory. Miyagi-Do's loss puts them on the verge of elimination after their first match." Echoed over the speakers. Jules rubbed her eyes as she walked towards the center of the mat to meet her team in the middle.
"Eli, why didn't you tag Kenny in when you had the chance?" Miguel yelled. Julianna removed her hands from her face as Hawk scoffed, gesturing to Kenny walking towards them. "He just got here. You expect us to trust him?" Hawk complained and Kenny's eyebrows raised as the rest of the team started to crowd around.
"Eli!" Jules scolded, smacking his arm and Eli turned to her, shrugging as if he did nothing wrong.
"Trust me to what? Not get my ass kicked like you and Demetri?" Kenny snapped and Demetri scoffed. Kenny's head whipped to Demetri as the talled boy gestured to Diego on the sidelines.
"Oh, yeah! Like you'd do any better against Spanish Hawk!" Demetri spat.
Julianna clenched her jaw at Demetri's words. In the last 24 hours, Demetri was starting to get on her nerves. "Hey!" Jules yelled, her lips curled in anger and she walked through her teams huddle, bumping into a couple of them to grab a handful of the sleeve to Demetri's gi and tugging him to the hallway.
"I need to talk to you now!" Jules muttered, her voice low. From beside Demetri, Sam's eyes widened at the sound of Julianna's voice. Sam muttered a small "woah," side stepping away from the girl as Jules stomped away with Demetri trailing behind her.
Once the reached the empty hallway, Jules tugged Demetri's sleeve so he would stand in front of her. The boy stumbled, his eyes wide as he looked at Jules.
"What's wrong?" Demetri shrieked, looking at Jules as if she were crazy.
Julianna squinted at Demetri, taking a step toward him that made Demetri instantly step back. "What's wrong? You! What the hell are you doing?" Jules yelled, Demetri flinching at her scream.
Jules noticed and closed her eyes. Demetri watched as she took a deep breath before her eyes opened again and even though she was visibly calmer, her words sounded just as angry as earlier. "I understand that you're mad at Eli, but you can't act stubborn during the competition and not tag him in and then minutes later try and tell him to not tag Kenny in!"
Demetri's jaw dropped and he pointed to Kenny back in the arena. "He could be a mole!" Demetri complained and Julianna's eyes didn't leave Demetri as she nodded her head. "Maybe! But you can also act like a fucking team player for once during this competition!"
Demetri closed his mouth after that and feeling a weight lift off her chest, Jules felt a little calmer. "I know you don't give a shit about how thing goes, but it would so much to your team. Your friends!" Julianna said, her words sounding desperate.
Even though she was set for Boston University, Julianna knew how much this could help Miguel's shot at Stanford and how winning could change Robby's life entirely.
She didn't say that though. Jules knew Lexi already brought Miguel and Robby up the night before so instead, Jules crossed her arms over her chest and raised her head higher. "It would mean a hell of a lot to Lexi and you know it."
Jules watched as Demetri's face fell. Jules knew it was a probably a low blow considering what just happened the night before, but if Lexi wanting a break from him until they got back to Los Angeles wasn't a wake up call enough, Jules needed to set him straight.
His eyes moved to the ground as Jules stared at him, slowly shaking her head. "So if you don't want to do this for yourself, do it for the girl you love." Jules snapped under her breath, turning and walking away, leaving Demetri in the hall.
As Julianna walked back to her team, Demetri trailing behind her like a moping kid, Johnny caught eye of the two–specifically the angry look on his daughter's face and he let out a low whistle.
Daniel eyed the man beside him, also noticing Julianna and Demetri's change demeanor, but not wanting to egg it on. He waited until Jules and Demetri were huddled with the rest of the time before he stepped forward. "We need to win this one to stay in the tournament. We know it's hard with Silver here, but we are not fighting his team right now." Daniel said, looking up to the scoreboard.
Julianna's eyes followed Daniel's, reading that the Miyagi-Do's were set to fight the Rendentores next.
"We've heard this garbage going around about loyalty, but almost all of us have trained somewhere else at some point. What matters is where are asses are now. We're Miyagi-Do. Got it?" Johnny asked and Jules scoffed under her breath as she turned back to him. She agreed with him completely, she just hated that it took him saying it for her team to nod and actually listen to him.
Julianna shook her hands by her side to control her nerves as her team circled up with the Rendentores, Miguel and the opposing team's male captain in the center.
When the fight started, Miguel blocked every hit the other boy tried to throw at him, and when he tried to get a couple of his own moves in, they were easily blocked.
Miguel's eyes moved to Robby, who stood one boy away from Jules.
As the boy fighting Miguel tried to kick him while he was looking at Robby, Miguel saw it coming. Just before the boy could score a point, Miguel caught the boys leg and pushed in back. The boy stumbled backwards, giving Miguel time to run toward Robby.
He quickly tagged Robby in, nodding his head reassuringly when he saw the nervous look on Robby's face. "It's time! Okay, you've got this." Miguel whispered to him before Robby ran into the middle.
Jules turned to Miguel, who was now on her left on the edge of the circle with her, one of the Rendentores in between the two of them. When Jules and Miguel locked eyes, Miguel nodded his head confidently, fully believing in Robby.
She smiled at that, glad that the two of them finally worked everything out and Miguel was letting Robby get a chance to prove himself. Jules turned back to the fight just as Robby kicked the boy in the side.
As he collapsed to the floor, Jules let out a cheer, jumping in excitement as the referee raised his hands. "Point!" He yelled as Robby looked around his team to tag someone in.
His eyes locked with Julianna's and in a matter of seconds, Robby was running to her.
Quickly, Jules stopped cheering and her guard went up. Her hand shot out for Robby to tag her in, bouncing on her toes, ready to fight. Robby's hand hit Julianna's while his free hand grabbed her shoulder gently. "You've got this, Juli." He told her and Jules smirked as she ran towards the center.
Jules immediately sent quick jab to the boys chest and even though he was thrown off by how fast Jules came at him, he sidestepped out of the way with inches to spare. While Jules was close to him, the boy tried to aim a low kick at the Julianna's knee, hoping she wouldn't be able to back up in time or far enough.
Julianna let out a quiet yelp, jumping to the side. Her eyes widened at how close the boy's foot got to her knee and she looked up from her foot to his face. Her eyes scanned over his stance. From where she stood, the boys entire body was open for her to score a point.
Not wanting to miss her opportunity, Jules kicked her leg out, ramming the side of her foot into the boys waist.
"Point!"
The boy in front of Julianna grabbed his side in pain, looking around for someone to tag in. As he ran towards a boy on the opposite end of the circle to switch places with, a voice on Julianna's left made her turn her head.
"Jules! Tag me!"
Jules snapped her head to the voice, her eyes falling on Kenny. The boy was reaching out for her, wanting her to tag him in so he could fight.
"Don't tag Kenny!" A voice on her right yelled. Jules turned her head and she saw Demetri standing directly across from Kenny, the boy shaking his head frantically.
She didn't even need to think about it. Jules turned to her left and ran toward Kenny. She could hear Demetri groan from behind her, but she didn't care.
Jules tagged Kenny in, getting him a breathy smile and nodding her head. "Come on, Kenny! You've got this!" Jules whispered to him and Kenny nodded his head, grateful that Jules tagged him in and didn't listen to Demetri.
Kenny ran into the center, the new Rendentores running into the mat as well. As they met in the middle, Jules noticed Kenny's eyes move to someone behind his opponent.
She turned her head and nervously not her lip when she saw Silver staring right back at him. Her hand went up to her mouth to bite her nail. "Come on, Kenny..." Shs muttered under her breath.
The Rendentores boy suddenly jumped, raising his leg to kick Kenny. Just before the kick could land, Kenny was knocked out of the thoughts in his head and he pushed the boys foot away.
He stumbled trying to land and Kenny used those few seconds to run at him and hit him with an uppercut.
As his opponent fell to the floor, Kenny's face broke out into a big smile, turning to the referee. "Point! Miyagi-Do wins!" The referee yelled and Jules screamed, running toward Kenny.
The boy turned around to Jules, cheering with her as she ran toward him. She pulled him into a hug, completely filled with adrenaline over the fact that Miyagi-Do made it to the next round.
The rest of the team came running over to the two to celebrate with them. Miguel and Hawk grabbed onto Kenny once he pulled away from Jules and lifted him onto their shoulders.
"Let's go!" Robby cheered, pulling Julianna into a hug next to him as Kenny locked eyes with Silver form across the arena.
Kenny smirked, flipping the boy off before jumping out of Hawk and Miguel's grasp.
"With the win, Miyagi-Do moves 1-1. If they win their next match, they advance to the tournament of champions." Was all the Miyagi-Dos heard besides their own laughter and cheers as they all pulled each other into a group hug.
