SEASON 6 EPISODE 12: PART ONE

Julianna stayed at her mom's house for almost three more hours after dinner to catch up with her. She was so happy to finally get to learn about Shannon and tell her mom about herself and her life.

She told her mom how she started karate, how her and Eli started dating, their breakup, then getting back together. Jules told her about everything she could possibly tell her.

When she got to Anthony Lewis, Shannon held her daughter in her arms and ran her hands through her hair, her manicured nails soothing Jules when they ran against her scalp as the girl cried. There were a lot of tears; some of happiness and some not, but overall, Julianna was happy that she finally had her mom healthy and active in her life.

The next morning, Lexi and Joey picked Jules up from her house and they drove to the Larusso's to grab Sam before they made their way to Tory's apartment complex.

Eli and Demetri told Jules and Lexi about their plan to help Robby train as soon as word got out that the Sekai Taikai was back on and even though Jules thought it was a great plan, it wouldn't help her since their AI was only programmed with Axel's techniques and Jules wasn't supposed to fight Axel.

So, Jules figured that since she didn't have any AI programming techniques with Tory and Zara's skills, she would just train with Tory, Sam and Lexi.

When they got to Tory's, she wasn't home and while Joey, who still had a broken leg, suggested they just wait in the car, the three girls insisted they waited by Tory's door.

It took about ten minutes of suffering through Joey's complaining before Tory finally walked through her apartment complex. Her eyes were on her bag of groceries, searching for her keys and when she finally found them, she turned to her door and froze when she saw everyone standing there.

"Jules?" Tory whispered before her eyes moved to the three standing behind her. "LaRusso? Gomezes? What are you guys doing here?" She asked nervously, readjusting the grocery bag on her hip.

Jules took a sip closer to Tory with a gentle smile. She didn't want to scare her away.Since Barcelona, Jules had tried talking to Tory during school, but every time she did, Tory would just turn and go the other way. It happened so many times that Robby, who Tory was talking to, told Jules that Tory just wanted some space from Miyagi-Do for a bit.

And standing here now, Jules started to realize coming over was probably a bad idea.

"The Miyagi-Do boys–" Jules was suddenly cut off by Joey clearing his throat obnoxiously behind her and she rolled her eyes. "Minus Joey." Jules corrected herself and even though she couldn't see him, Joey nodded his head proudly behind her.

"Are training together and I figured that we could help each other train. Get Lex and Sam to use different techniques on us so whoever ends up going to the finals can kick Zara's ass." Jules continued, gesturing between herself and Tory.

Tory didn't answer for a moment, only staring at Jules.

After a couple of seconds, she shook her head. "I'm not fighting. I quit." Tory said a matter-of-factly. Julianna's lips parted, but she didn't get to say anything before Tory walked past her, Sam, Lexi, and Joey to get to her door. Julianna's eyes followed Tory as Sam looked at her with wide eyes. "Wait. What?"

Tory ignored Sam's comment, looking to Jules just as she reached her door. "You should be happy. One less person for you to fight." She said, walking into her apartment and not closing the door behind her.

Jules took that as a silent invitation.

As she followed after Tory, Sam and Lexi immediately followed after Jules. Joey watched the three girls walk into the home with wide eyes, muttering a small, "what the hell are you doing?" but was completely ignored.

"Um... Except I'm not happy about this. Why are you dropping out?" Jules asked as Joey reluctantly followed his sister and friends inside Tory's house. She placed down her bag of groceries and spun around to face the four so fast. "Because I'm not putting that Cobra Kai gi on ever again and you're not gonna convince me otherwise. None of you are." Tory said, her eyes on Jules until she turned to Lexi, Joey, and Sam standing beside her.

Tory turned back to Jules and gently shook her head. "Just enjoy getting a round two at kicking that bitch in the face." Tory sighed out, starting to unpack her groceries onto her kitchen island.

Julianna watched Tory for a few moments before she took a small step toward her. "If you're not gonna fight, at least help me train to beat her." She suggested and Tory sighed, dropping the bread in her hands onto the counter tiredly.

"You already have Lex and Sam. You don't need me." Tory muttered, pointing to the two girls by Jules.

Jules was quick to take another step toward Tory, shaking her head. "Except now, I'll have some work with Miyagi-Do, Eagle Fang, and Cobra Kai." Jules said, pointing to Sam, then Lexi, and Tory last. She took a small step toward Tory and offered her a small smile, tilting her head.

"Come on... It'll be like old times, Pietro Maximoff." Jules hummed, giggling as she thought back to the first time she met Tory and called her that.

Her smile wavered for a split second, hoping Tory remembered and she didn't look crazy. When Tory finally smiled, Julianna's doubled in size and she let out a small cheer as she pulled the girl into a hug.

...

When the five teens walked into the All Valley Sports Center parking lot, Tory slowly turned her head to side eye Jules beside her.

"Breaking and entering?" She asked and Jules shrugged, looking around the arena instead of looking at Tory.

"Yeah, I figured you, Sam and I already have vandalism and destruction of property on our resumes, what more could breaking and entering do?" Jules hummed with a small shrug as if it were nothing. When Tory didn't respond, Jules turned her head to look at the other blonde and saw Tory looking at her like she was crazy.

Julianna laughed, shaking her head. "Jeez, Tor, I'm kidding!" Jules giggled out, gently elbowing Tory's ribs. When Tory started to relax, Jules nodded her head to Sam. "Mr. LaRusso's got a lifetime member so Sam has privileges." She said as the five of them reached the elevated stage.

Joey turned to sit down on the stage, resting his crutches next to him as Lexi moved to sit down next to him, sighing as she looked around the room. It looked different without a full audience and teams surrounding the stage.

"Things were a lot different the last time we were here..." Lexi breathed out and Tory snickered as a small agreement, walking closer to Lexi and Joey. "Yeah... We pretty much hated each others guts." Tory muttered, looking to Sam as she sat down beside Lexi.

"I kinda hated you too." Lexi admitted, making Tory whip her head to face her, her eyes wide and her jaw slacked.

Lexi shrugged defensively. "For cutting my hair. You're lucky I was able to rock a bob. Not many people can do that." Lexi huffed, sarcastically flipping her hair, making sure some of it playfully hit Tory in the face.

Tory scoffed, but she was fighting the smile growing on her face as she hit Lexi's shoulder with her own.

Her eyes moved back to Julianna still standing side by side with Sam. She licked her teeth, smirking and raising her eyebrows competitively. "Well, looks like you've gotta catch up with the program and fight like you hate me if you've got any shot at taking me down." Tory teased, standing up onto the stage and walking backwards. Julianna raised her eyebrows, jumping onto the stage after Tory.

"Let's see about that." Jules hummed before she turned to face the three girls, her arms opened invitingly.

"So who's up first?"

...

Lexi, Tory, and Sam all went back and forth sparring with Julianna and Joey watched from the floor, reffing them.

After a while, Sam and Lexi came up with a silent agreement, every time one of them were sparring with Jules, the other would start "play sparring" with Tory to some training out of her incase she changed her mind and decided to compete in the Sekai Taikai.

But for now, Lexi, Sam, and Joey were watching Jules and Tory fight from the floor. Lexi had her hands pressed behind her so she was able to lean back, her eyes glued on the fight.

Jules threw punch after punch toward Tory, her cheeks flush from all the training she's been doing. Tory blocked every move Julianna sent her way and when Jules raised her leg to kick Tory's side to counter all the punches she had been throwing, Tory blocked that too.

"Point!" Joey yelled, not seeing Tory's block from where he was sitting on the floor.

The girls stopped fighting and all four of them turned to Joey with confused looks. Jules, still trying to catch her breath, put her hands on her hips and squinted at him as Sam stared at the boy absolutely dumbfounded.

"That was obviously a block." Sam said, pointing wildly to the two girls in front of her. She turned to Joey and raised her eyebrows. "You're a shit referee!" She complained and Lexi nodded in agreement, pushing herself off of her hands to cross her arms over her chest as she squinted at her older brother.

"Yeah. Who died and made you ref?" Lexi spat in a matter-of-fact tone, crossing her arms over her chest.

Joey snickered, looking around the room to pretend to think of an answer. "Uh... based off the series of this months events, Kwon."

At that comment, Jules, Tory, Sam, and Lexi all threw their water bottles at him.

Joey raised his hands to block any of the bottles from hitting his face and he tried to move his broken leg out of the line of fire as quick as he could. "Hey. Hey! Already injured!" Joey shrieked as Lexi's bottle hit him in the chest.

They all slowly started to laugh at Joey's yelp, even Joey. He relaxed, lying back until his back hit the mat beneath him. Jules felt her face slowly start to hurt from her laughter as she moved to sit on the floor.

Tory moved to lay down beside Jules and when her laughter finally started to die down, Julianna sighed, moving to lie back and rest on her elbows. "Kinda feels right. Fighting up here with you again." She breathed out, gently kicking her foot out to nudge Tory's ankle before she looked to Lexi and Sam. "All of you." She muttered, a soft smile on her face.

"I guess so." Tory admitted, looking down to the mat and licking her lips nervously.

Sam sighed, pushing herself up until she was sitting up straight to look at Tory. "That's why you can't quit, Tory. You've come so far." She said, almost pleaded before she looked to Jules and Lexi sitting on the floor with her. She gently shook her head, her eyes moving back to Tory. "All of us have come so far."

Tory rolled her eyes, pushing herself off the floor, making Jules immediately push off her elbows and onto her hands.

"Would you guys give it a rest already? I told you guys I'm done." Tory yelled, turning to walk out of the arena. She passed Lexi, who pushed herself up to seem a little taller compared to the standing girl even though she was one of the shortest kids in the dojo and she was sitting.

Lexi frowned in defeat, throwing her hands out tiredly as her eyes followed Tory. "Please, just help us understand." Lexi sighed and Tory turned around so fast, the four still sitting on the floor flinched.

"Because every time I put on that gi, it destroys everything that matters to me!" Tory blurted and Julianna's shoulders slumped. Her eyes softened as Tory suddenly struggled looking any of the four in the eyes, turning to the ground instead. "I get caught up in Kreese's messed up plans, I ruin my relationships with my friends–with Robby. I'm not doing any of that ever again." Tory admitted, her voice breaking.

Jules took a small step forward, just like she did at Tory's apartment complex. Her mouth opened to say something even though she was speechless, but before she could ever try to get words out, Tory turned and headed toward the risers to sit down.

Julianna watched Tory go, nervously biting her lip as she really focused on Tory's words. Jules was lucky enough to never get brainwashed by Cobra Kai. She left the second Miguel was hospitalized and never really believed Kreese's "no mercy" bullshit anyway because of her dad's stories.

One part of her brain told her to leave Tory alone—let her cool off and she'd come around on her own.

Jules didn't listen to that part of her brain. Instead, Jules gave Tory maybe twenty seconds of alone time before she walked toward her.

The closer she got, the deeper the pit in Julianna's stomach started to become. Her steps slowed as she started to walk up the risers and when Tory lifted her head to see who walked up to her, Julianna froze completely.

"Can I sit?"

Tory looked directly next to her before her eyes moved around the completely empty arena minus Lexi, Sam, and Joey on the mats. She let out a small snicker before she looked back up at Jules. "It's not like there's any other seats." She muttered sarcastically, looking back down at her lap.

Julianna hesitated to sit down, watching Tory for a few seconds. When Jules didn't move, Tory looked back up to Jules and her face softened. "Jules, I was kidding. You can sit." Tory whispered, gently patting beside her.

Jules finally sat down beside Tory. "I'm sorry for pushing." She breathed out, staring straight ahead at her friends on the mats in front of her as she nervously picked at her nail. She felt Tory turn to face her, but Jules didn't look back.

"I didn't really think about it from your side and I should've." Jules looked down at her hands and realized she was close to drawing blood. Eli wasn't there, but if he was, he would've pried her hands apart ages ago to stop her from picking.

Julianna sat on her hands to stop herself and turned to Tory. She took a deep breath before the words just started to spill out of her. "I know how Kreese works. I've heard stories from my dad, I've seen it happen to you, to Eli, to Anthon—"

"Anthony Lewis is psycho." Tory scoffed out, interrupting Julianna's ramble.

Tory's words forced Jules to stop. To take a breath and relax. Tory wasn't mad at her, she wasn't on Anthony's side and most of all, Anthony Lewis was fucking gone.

She let out a breath of relief she didn't even know she was holding in, but to Tory, it sounded like a quiet laugh.

"Yeah..."

It was quiet after that. Jules didn't know what to say after that and Tory started to feel an uncomfortable guilt for bringing the boy up. Her and Jules never talked about what Anthony did to her. Tory knew, she remembered the boy bragging about "almost having Lawrence out" as he pinned her to the wall of the LaRusso home, but she didn't know how it all affected Jules.

She decided to just change the topic, clearing her throat loudly as if it would clean the slate.

"It's just... I was finally on a good track. And then my mom died and my whole world blew up. I thought going back to Cobra Kai was my only option, but all it did was ruin every relationship I've ever cared about." Tory explained practically all in one breath. When Jules looked back to her, Tory's eyes moved to the floor and she sighed.

"I'm lucky Robby and I are even talking. If I go back to Cobra Kai, I know it'll be the thing that ends us for good." Her words were softer this time. Shakier.

Jules watched her closely with a small frown. It upset Jules that Tory couldn't see how much Robby cared about her. It hurt her to know that Tory didn't think he'd be in her corner. She moved a little closer to Tory, a reassurance sitting on the tip of her tongue, ready to stay.

"You wouldn't understand." Tory muttered before Jules could say anything. Julianna clamped her mouth shut and looked ahead of her,

"I don't." She breathed out before she turned back to Tory, moving her whole body on the seat to face the girl. "But I do know that nobody is gonna think bad of you for finishing this fight."

When Tory looked up at her, Jules smiled and scooted a little closer to the girl. Her hands reached out and grabbed both of Tory's. "You might not have rejoined Cobra Kai in the best headspace, but you can finish it and win in one." Jules said, keeping her eyes glued on Tory's.

Tory looked away and Julianna tilted her head to force herself into Tory's line of sight. "You won't lose any of your friends. Or Robby." Jules reassured, making Tory slowly turn back to face her.

Jules squeezed Tory's hands in hers and gave her a small smile. "I can promise you, we will all have your back. No matter what logo is on it."

Tory nodded her head, but Jules knew her words didn't really reach her ears. A small smirk grew on Julianna's face and she had to hold back snickering as she tilted her head teasingly. "Plus, if you win our fight, it'd be really fucking cool getting to watch Zara get her ass kicked." Jules hummed.

Tory laughed—full belly, throwing your head back laugh. Jules giggled with Tory. "So is that a yes? You're back in?" She asked through her laughter and as Tory's laugh slowly started to die down, she gave Jules a small smile and nodded her head.

"Hell yeah, Maximoff."

Jules gasped and it quickly turned into a squeal as she lurched forward and pulled Tory into a hug. "Oh! You did the reference!" She quietly cheered and Tory chuckled, her chest rumbling making Jules shake with her as she snaked her arms around the Lawrence girl.

"I still don't get it..." She muttered as she rolled her eyes playfully, even though Jules couldn't see her.

Jules immediately pulled away, squinting at Tory. "You watched all of those Marvel movies with me when Eli and I broke up and you still don't get why I called you Pietro Maximoff when we first met?" Julianna asked, her eyes jumping back and forth between both of Tory's.

Tory pursed her lips and shook her head, but Jules could see how hard Tory was trying not to laugh. Julianna smirked, letting go of Tory's hands and scooting back nonchalantly. "It's fine. I'll just make you watch them again." She hummed.

Tory snickered, getting up to walk down the riser and back to the mat. Just as Jules was about to push herself up to follow after Tory, her phone rang in her pocket.

Jules quickly sat back down, pulling out her phone and squinting when she saw her dad calling her.

"Well, don't just sit there. We've got a fight to train for!" Tory yelled up to Jules once she reached the mat. Julianna's head snapped up from her phone and her eyes were wide as she looked at her friends waving her down.

"Hold on. Let me take this." Jules said, her voice echoing through the empty arena.

She quickly answered the phone and covered her other ear with her finger so she can focus on the phone call. "Hey, dad. What's up?" Jules asked and when she heard a shaky breath on the other end of the call, Julianna was up.

"Hey, Jules. Rosa and I are heading to the hospital. Carmen's water broke." Johnny stumbled over his words, out of breath as if he and Rosa were running—which they were rushing to the car.

Jules started rushing down the risers, trying her hardest not to trip over the steps. "What?" She yelled, catching Joey's attention on the mat, Lexi, Sam, and Tory completely engrossed in a conversation about where their grad-bite was going to be this year.

"Yeah, do you have a way to get to the hospital? I know you're with Lexi." Johnny asked and Jules barely let him finish her sentence before she nodded her head and started to answer. "Yeah, yeah. I can ask Lexi for the car and I can pick up the boys right now."

"Okay, I'll see you at the hospital. I love you." Johnny said just as Jules reached the bottom of the risers. Jules nodded again, even though her dad couldn't see her.

"I love you too." She quickly said before she hung up and ran toward her friends all huddled together on the mat, Sam and Tory stretching while Lexi laid back on her elbows.

"Lexi! Give me your keys!" Jules yelled as she ran toward the four. The girls conversation stopped as everyone watched Julianna with either wide or squinted eyes. "What?" Lexi asked, pushing herself off of her elbows and squinting at Jules frantically coming toward her.

"Carmen's in labor. I need your keys!" Jules breathed out and immediately, Lexi was on her feet and rushing to her purse. Lexi tossed Jules the keys and when she caught them, her mouth opened and closed when she realized they wouldn't have a car to leave the arena.

"Uh... I'm heading to Miyagi-Do to pick up Miguel and Robby. Call Eli to give you guys a ride home. He'll still by at Miyagi-Do with Demetri!" Jules yelled, her words coming out jumbled, just like her dad's words came out while she was on the phone with him. Lexi nodded her head, watching as Jules started to race out of the arena, looking over her shoulder at her, Joey, Sam, and Tory.

"Okay! Send photos!" Lexi yelled out and Julianna threw her a thumbs up just as Jules exited the arena.

...

The entire way to Miyagi-Do, Jules yelled at her Siri to call and text Miguel and Robby. She didn't want to have to text and drive especially since she was already half paying attention to the road because she couldn't stop thinking about how the baby was coming.

Miguel and Robby didn't answer and single call or text from Jules so when Julianna finally pulled into the sandy driveway of Miyagi-Do, she practically barreled out of the car to head toward the back.

As she walked into the backyard, she saw Robby and Miguel on the sparring deck and Demetri and Eli sprawled out on lawn chairs beside it. When Eli saw Jules walk into the dojo, he smiled and immediately started to get up to hug the girl.

"Hey, baby! What are you doing here?" Eli asked, finally staring to realize the panic and urgency bouncing through the girl.

"No time." She whispered softly, her gaze focused on Miguel and Robby slowly starting to take off their headset after they heard Eli greet Julianna.

Her heart was beating out of her chest she was out of breath even though she was just in the car. "Why don't you two answer your phones?" She yelled at the two boys on the sparring deck, throwing her arms out.

Miguels eyebrows furrowed, looking back and forth between Jules and Robby. "We were training. I thought you knew this?" Miguel asked as if it were obvious.

Jules shook her head, tiredly pointing behind her. "Well, we've got to go. The baby's coming." Jules said and Miguel's eyes widened, suddenly frozen in place. Robby instantly ripped off the headset he was wearing and jumped off the sparring deck.

"What?" Demetri asked, pushing himself out of the lawn chair he was in as Miguel—still frozen on the sparring deck—stared at Jules with wide eyes.

"Right now?" He asked. Jules nodded her head, reaching out and grabbing his wrist. "Yes, right now! Would I be this panicked if it was next week?" Jules asked, tugging the boy off of the sparring deck.

"Do you need me to come with?" Eli asked, carefully reaching out to Julianna's wrist as she pushed Robby and Miguel toward the car.

Jules stopped. It felt like this was the first time she was able to breathe since hearing the news. She tiredly nodded her head as she focused on Eli's  thumb gently rubbing circles on her hip. "No, it's okay. I'll text you if anything. Plus, I can't left everyone else stranded at the All Valley so—"

"Demetri and I'll will pack this all up and then go pick them up." Eli finished Julianna's sentence and the girls shoulders relaxed. She gave him a small smile as she finally caught her breath.

"Thank you." Jules whispered and Eli squeezed Julianna's hip as a response. He pulled her toward him and Jules had to raise her hands to stop her chest from crashing into Eli's.

As soon as Jules was close enough, Eli dipped his head and kissed Jules. The same out of breath feeling Jules had been feeling for the past hour and a half came back, but now, it was relaxing. It made her smile, her hands pressed to Eli's chest moving to gently hold his face.

When they pulled away, Jules kept his face close to Eli's, their noses just barely brushed. "I love you." She whispered and even though they've said it hundreds of times before, Eli's entire face broke out into a smile.

"Julianna!" Miguel screamed.

Jules and Eli laughed, the realization that the baby was coming hit Julianna like a brick all over again. Eli gently pushed Jules back and toward the car, still smiling. "I love you too. Text me updates!" He said as Jules finally turned and started to run to the car.

"I will!"
