【SEASON 6 EPISODE 13: PART TWO】
Julianna's foot tapped anxiously the entire car ride to the All Valley Sports Center. She got a couple angry whispers to from Miguel beside her in the backseat to knock it off, but she ignored it—she couldn't help it.
As her dad pulled into a parking spot, Jules looked around at the completely packed lot. She could see Chris, Mitch, Bert, and Nate all climb out of Chris's car a few lanes away and she noticed her dad pass Joey's parked car as they searched for a spot.
When she got out of the car, Jules smiled at the building and all the people rushing to get inside. In front of her, Robby climbed out of the passenger seat and Jules smiled.
"Brings back memories, brobro?" Jules hummed teasingly, wrapping a lazy arm around Robby's shoulders as Miguel walked around the car to stand with the twins.
Robby scoffed, elbowing Julianna in her side. "Yeah, good ones for you. You won here." He grumbled and Jules pursed her lips, pulling her arm off of Robby's shoulders. "And lost." She added just as Miguel bumped into her other shoulder.
Jules turned to Miguel, watching the way he stared at the building in front of them with this uncertain look. Julianna squinted and gently nudged his shoulder with her own.
"You okay?" Jules asked, pulling Miguel out of his thoughts. He blinked, shaking his head crazily before he looked to Jules. After a couple seconds, Miguel nodded. "Yeah... I'm good." He whispered, turning back to the arena.
"Hey, guys! How about you go and sign in. I'll grab the bags." Johnny yelled from the trunk, peaking his head out from behind the car to look at the three teens. Jules looked back at her dad and squinted at the sun shining in her eyes behind him.
"Are you sure? We don't mind helpi..." Julianna's words died out as she pointed behind her—where she expected Robby and Miguel to still be standing, but when she turned around, they were already halfway to the arena.
Jules groaned, making Johnny look back out to see what was wrong. When he saw the boys gone and his daughter still there, he just shook his head. "It's alright, Jules. You head inside and start stretching. We still don't know if you're fighting today." Johnny reassured and Jules nodded, heading inside.
The place was packed, Julianna was accidentally shoulder checking someone almost every 10 seconds. She headed for the locker rooms first to change into her gi and huffed when she didn't see Lexi, Sam, Tory, or Devon in there.
When she walked back out, now wearing her white Miyagi-Do gi, her eyes looked over the crowd to try and find some of her team or anyone recognizable. In the stands, she saw Mitch, Chris and Anthony all squished together in third row.
Just as she was about to head toward them and see if they knew where any of the team was, a voice called her name from her left.
"Jules!"
She spun at the sound of Demetri's voice and smiled as he and Eli came toward her, Eli already in his gi to present Miyagi-Do and Demetri still in his regular clothes. Demetri shoved his hands into his pockets and nodded his head to Eli beside him, keeping his eyes on Jules.
"Eli here has just informed me that you guys are planning on finding an apartment off campus instead of dorming—which I completely understand; young adults in co-ed bathrooms can be quite barbaric." Demetri rambled and Julianna's lips parted. She opened and closed her mouth in shock and she looked to Eli with wide eyes, but he kept his eyes in the ground guiltily.
"Anyway, he brought up the idea of me being your guys roommate and—"
"I thought we were gonna ask him together?" Jules interrupted Demetri to talk to Eli.
Eli's eyes widened and his shoulders raised almost as high as his ears to quickly defend himself. "We were! But then I told him about MIT and he asked if we wanted to dorm together and it just slipped out!" He rambled out and Jules nodded. She turned back to Demetri and raised her eyebrows hopefully.
"Okay... So, do you want to be our roommate?" Julianna asked, going on the tips of her toes a little as her voice got higher.
Demetri smiled at the girl in front of him, dipping his head a little. He looked back up to Jules and Eli, his expression softening when he realized how excited they were. They looked two little kids and if Demetri thought about it enough, he was able to picture six year old Eli and Jules standing in front of him, eagerly asking him if they could come over since he was the only one with a pool.
He couldn't help but chuckle at their excitement, and his cheeks flushed over the fact that they wanted him to be their roommate. His eyes moved back and forth between the two of them before his smile became a little more bashful and he turned to the floor.
"As much as I love you both, no."
Julianna and Eli's smiles dropped. Eli squinted at Demetri while Jules just stared at him, her mouth opening and closing in shock.
"What?" Eli asked as the shock seemed to finally reach Julianna's face. She blinked rapidly as her eyebrows started to furrow together. "W- Why?" She asked, shaking her head and waiting for Demetri to tell them he was just pranking them.
Demetri shrugged as if the answer was obvious. "I don't want to have to walk or bus that far to campus everyday!" He complained and Eli rolled his eyes. He lightly slapped Demetri's arm and shook his head. "Dude, I already talked to my mom. She said I can take the Sentra."
Demetri's eyebrows raised, looking Eli up and down as if he was judging him. Eli's frowned, taking a small step away from Demetri and moving to stand closer to Jules.
"And trust you to get me to school on time?" Demetri asked before he scoffed. "Yeah, I'll pass." He turned his attention back to Jules. He knew she was excited about this and he gave her a reassuring smile.
"I'll just come over all the time—sleep on your couch. Now if you'll excuse me, I was supposed to be in my gi..." Demetri paused to look down at the time and his eyes widened nervously. He looked back up to Jules, cringing. "Seven minutes ago. I've got to go."
As he walked away, Julianna watched him go and as he walked into the locker rooms, Jules sighed and looked up at Eli. "I guess we'll have to find another roommate." She muttered, crossing her arms over her chest.
Eli looked to Jules and shrugged, a lopsided smile on his face. He also thought Demetri would be completely on board with rooming together, so he was a little blindsided too. "I mean... there's like those university stories we can join. Post about how we need of a roommate and hope someone picks us?" He suggested and Jules stared at Eli for a second, thinking about that idea.
After a few seconds, Jules nodded, and Eli's shoulders relaxed. "That sounds good." She hummed, and Eli's smile grew.
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her snug against his side until she bumped into his chest with a little "oof". Eli dipped his head and pressed a soft kiss to her hairline, letting his lips linger there as he smiled against her skin.
"Julianna!"
Jules and Eli turned their heads at the voice calling the girls name. Eli kept his arm around Jules but straightened up when he saw her mom making a beeline toward her. Jules smiled at her mom coming toward her, feeling a warmth spread through her chest over the fact that her mom was smiling so wide at her.
"Oh, I'm so glad I got to catch you before it started." Shannon rambled before she finally caught her breath. She gently cupped Julianna's face and smiled at her daughter. "I just wanted to say good luck, sweetheart." Shannon hummed, lightly dragging her thumb across Julianna's cheekbone.
Julianna couldn't control the bashful smile on her face. She tilted her head to the side, Shannon's hands staying on her face. "Thanks, mom." She hummed softly.
Then, she felt Eli slowly rub his hand up and down her arm, his arm still draped over her shoulders. Julianna looked up at Eli as Shannon finally dropped her hands. Jules hesitated for a moment before turning back to her with a small, nervous smile.
"There's actually some I'd like you to... formally meet." Jules muttered, shifting slightly under Eli's arm. "Mom, this is Eli." Jules introduced and Eli straightened up, letting his arm fall from her shoulders so he could shake Shannon's hand. "Hi, Ms. Keene."
Before he could even process it, Shannon ignored his handshake entirely and pulled him into a hug. "Oh, just call me Shannon." The one lightly scoffed out.
Eli froze for a second, caught completely off guard. This was not what he expected—not from everything Jules had told him. Even if she and her mom were good now. He glanced over Shannon's shoulder at Jules, his eyes wide with surprise and Jules barely bit back her laugh.
Shannon pulled away, smiling softly at Eli in front of her. "It's nice to meet you."
"You too." Eli managed to get out, still slightly stunned, but happy for Jules for getting her mom in her life—his smile was wide for her.
Shannon turned back to Jules, giving her hand a gentle squeeze before stepping back. "I'm gonna go find a seat with Amanda and Carmen."
Jules nodded, watching her mom walk away before turning to Eli, who was still looking at her like he'd just witnessed the most unexpected pigs flying.
"That was... wow." He whispered, blinking in shock. Jules giggled at the sight of him before her eyes moved back to Shannon by the bleachers, smiling and talking with Carmen and Amanda.
"I know. I'm still getting used to it." Jules laughed out, crossing her arms over her chest. She looked up at Eli just as he looked down at her. His shocked smile softened when his eyes met hers.
"I'm happy for you." He whispered and Julianna's smile doubled in size. She nodded her head and tried to play off how happy she was by pulling her lips into a line. "I am happy too." Jules muttered, her smile breaking through with her words.
The lights in her arena dimmed, signaling the competition was about to start.
Julianna's head whipped up to look at the lights, her eyes wide and her breath hitched. "We've got to go." She whispered, not even giving time for Eli to agree with her before she grabbed his hand and tugged him toward the mats that all the teams circled.
Eli chuckled at her eagerness and as they reached the edge of the mat, Jules looked back at Eli and squeezed his hand. Eli saw the soft smile on Julianna's face for a second before she quickly leaned in and kissed him.
When they pulled away, Jules still had that same smile on her lips. "I love you." She whispered as she stepped back into the row her, Robby, and her senseis were supposed to be in. The rest of the team was lined up a good three feet behind them.
Eli's smile doubled in size and he squeezed Julianna's hand one more time before he let go and stepped back into his stop in line between Miguel and Demetri.
"I love you too. Go kill it!" He whispered excitedly, nodding his head to the mat behind Jules.
Julianna's face flushed as she turned around to face the mat, her shoulder accidentally knocking into Robby's beside her just as Gunther started to speak into the mic.
"It's my honor to introduce our guest referee, local hero and former All Valley Champion, Darryl Vidal!" He screamed and as audience applauded for the man walking onto the mat, Jules frowned a little, her eyebrows furrowing.
She clapped for the man, but eyed him as she leaned toward Robby. "This isn't right. I need the other Daryl to announce." Jules whispered and Robbys face scrunched. He turned to face girls completely as the audiences cheers finally started to die down.
"That's what you're focusing on right now?" He asked in a judgmental mutter. Jules shrugged. In all honesty, focusing on that instead of the fact that soon, she'd have to face Tory and possibly Zara made her feel a lot better.
"We have two more semifinals to complete. Of the world's 16 best dojos, it's all come down to our final three." Gunther's voice rang over the loud speaker. Jules looked back to the mat, her eyes specifically moving across the mat to the two teams Miyagi-Do would be fighting as Gunther introduced them to the audience.
Jules frowned when Gunther introduced Cobra Kai and she saw that it was only Tory left standing there. No Kreese. No Kim. No Yoon. Nobody.
Tory's eyes met hers from across the room and Julianna could've sworn she saw Tory's breath hitch. Jules watched her for a second, waiting to see if she'd have another reaction, but Tory forced her eyes away from Jules and back to Gunther.
"The rules are simple. Each dojo will retain the points they've earned in their Barcelona competitions. Our unfinished boys' semifinal will reset to 0-0, and the remaining girls' semifinal will be taking place tomorrow." Gunther said, forcing Julianna's eyes away from Tory and back to him.
Jules felt some of her nerves subside hearing that she wasn't gonna have to fight today. She let out a small breath and her shoulders relaxed. She listened to Gunther explain the same rules Jules took note of back in Barcelona. Three two-minute rounds, unlimited scoring. One point for a hit. Ten for a knockdown. Twenty for a knockout. Finals declare individual champions and points will declare overall champions. It had been over a month, but surprisingly, Jules remembered it as if it were yesterday.
"Now, will everyone please stand and join me in a moment of silence for our fallen competitor, Kwon Jae-Sung." Gunther asked and Julianna clasped her hands together in front of her. Her head lowered as the crowd stood from their seat on the risers.
Jules didn't like Kwon. Granted, she didn't really get to know him that well, but in the end, he was still a boy–a kid that died. And yeah, he may have been an ass, but his sensei was Kreese. That turns most people bad, even the good ones. Julianna felt that maybe Kwon was good, he was just too far gone in Cobra Kai's manipulation for her to have ever see it. She bowed her head down and closed her eyes.
Kwon got maybe four seconds of silence before a loud chewing echoed across the arena. With her head still dipped, Jules peeked one eye open and watch Mitch snack on a plate of nachos in the second row.
"Are you kidding me?" Jules grumbled under her breath, shutting her eye and going back ot her moment of silence. Her words made Johnny peek on eye open to see what Julianna was talking about and to see what the repetitive chewing noise was. When he saw the same sight as his daughter, Johnny's jaw clenched.
"Penis Breath!" He spat in a whisper. Julianna immediately opened her eye again, pulling her lips together to stop herself from snickered when she saw Mitch's head shoot up like a deer in headlights.
"Thank you." Gunther hummed and everyone sat back down in their seats and anyone who closed their eyes, opened them. Jules lifted her head and shook it to get her dutch braids off her shoulders and just hang behind her back as the new Darryl stepped to the center of the mat and looked between Axel and Robby.
"For our first match or should I say rematch, Axel Kovacevic versus Robby Keene." He announced. The audience roared as Darryl turned to the two boys and gestured for them to step up.
Robby let out a nervous breath, shaking his shoulders to relieve any tension or nerves. Jules turned to face her, grabbing his shoulder so he'd look at her.
"Hey, you're gonna kill this." Jules muttered loud enough so only he could hear her.
Robby wanted to scoff at Julianna's words, but he didn't want to upset her. Instead, his eyes just moved across the mat and to Axel as he talked to his sensei and Silver. Robby shook his head and turned back to Jules with a hopeless look.
"He's like... eight feet taller than me." Robby complained.
Julianna's eyes moved to where Robby was once looking and when they landed on Axel, Jules had to admit, Axel was tall. He was probably only an inch or two shorter than Silver by the looks of it.
She sighed and trying her best to stay optimistic, she turned back to Robby and smiled. "Yeah, but you're faster than him. Plus, since you're shorter you get..." Her lips pursed as she flattened out her hands and pushed them down a little, trying to remember the right words. After a couple seconds, she looked back up at Robby. "You know, lower center of gravity or whatever it's called."
That time, Robby scoffed, but it turned into a chuckle when Jules smiled at him. He held back rolling his eyes as he stepped onto the mat and met Axel in the middle.
The two boys bowed to the referee, then faced each other and bowed again. When they got inot their fighting stances. Jules nervously bit her lip and interlaced her own fingers, resting her hands under her chin so she didn't bit her nails.
When the fight started, Axel was the first to make a move, kicking high and aiming for Robby's head.
Robby flipped over him with an aerial, landing just as Axel's foot hit the air where he once was. Axel ran at Robby, firing punches at him left and right. Robby blocked each one before twisting into a spinning kick that hit Axel right in the ribs.
"Point!"
Jules cheered and her dad clapped her back next to her. "That's it!" Johnny yelled as Julianna whooped her brother's name. The whole room chanted Robby's name and from behind Jules and her senseis, Demetri let out a breathless chuckle.
"Okay, yeah! Maybe he can do it!" He cheered as the two boys got back into their fighting stances.
Julianna's eyebrows furrowed at the stance Axel got into. She didn't know too much about his techniques, but this didn't look familiar at all.
It seemed like Demetri and Eli had no clue either because almost seconds later, she heard Demetri scoff. "What stance is that?" He shrieked.
Jules turned around to look at the two boys. Eli and Demetri's eyes moved from Axel to Jules and as if on instinct, they both shrugged in sync. Lexi sighed from the other side of Demetri, looking back to the fight with a small frown. "So much for the AI..." She muttered.
But Eli heard her from the other side of Demetri. He turned to face Lexi and leaned forward so he could see her from over the boy.
"Okay, well, it was working until he pulled out that move!" Eli whispered quickly to defend his and Demetri's work.
Lexi tilted her head with an exaggerated pout. "Okay, well, it was working until he pulled out that move!" She mocked, mimicking Eli with a nasally voice and scrunching her nose for extra effect.
Eli's glared at Lexi. "That's not what I sound like." He spat in a whisper and Lexi nodded her head, leaning closer to the boy and getting completely in Demetri's personal space—not that he minded.
"That's exactly what you sound like!"
"Point!" The referee yelled.
"What?" Jules yelped, spinning back around to face front just as Robby staggered. Before he could reset, Axel jumped forward, his next punch landing right in Robby's chest.
"Point! Two points!"
Jules sighed, bouncing on her toes in nervousness and running her hands up and down her gi to dry the sweat off of them. "Come on, Robby!"
Robby narrowed his eyes as he fired back with punches that Axel all blocked. Axel grabbed one of Robby's arms, trapping him against his chest and quickly, he sent an uppercut into his chin.
"Point!"
Robby stumbled back, shaking the pain off as Axel dropped to the floor. He swept his leg toward Robby's feet, but Robby saw it coming and stepped back just in time. Axel suddenly pushed his foot upward, kicking Robby in the chin hard. Jules shut her eyes and turned away, wincing at the sight of the kick.
"Point!"
When Julianna opened her eyes again, they were circling each other and now, Jules couldn't even see what was happening from Axel's body practically being a blockade. She just had to trust the referee's yells.
"No point. Block!"
"No point!"
Axel tried to kick Robby, but Robby quickly jumped back, letting Jules finally see the fight. Robby moved forward to try and punch Axel, but since he had shorter arms than him, Axel's fist was in Robby's shoulder first.
"Point!"
The buzzer blared and the first match was over. Jules exhaled, her shoulders falling as Robby started to walk back to the teams. She stepped toward the edge of the mat to meet him in the middle, the rest of her team behind her with Daniel, her dad, and Miguel lined up next to her.
"He's a machine. It's like he reprogrammed himself." Robby breathed out and Jules instantly shook her head to try and calm Robby down. Her shoulders shrugged and she took a small step closer to the mat.
"He adapted. Now you adapt." Jules quickly, lightly punching Robby's arm to hopefully get any kind of reaction out of him. Robby only looked down at Julianna's fist and where she had hit him before he looked back to her and shook his head. "I don't know if I can." He muttered, earning a small scoff from Daniel.
"Robby Keene not knowing how to adapt? That's a first." Daniel butted in. Jules looked to Daniel and then to Robby, smiling up at her brother as Daniel continued.
"You never had things easy, Robby. You've been knocked down every which way more times than anyone I've ever known. But you also got back up more times too." Daniel explained and Jules watched as her brother's face softened at his words.
"You stood up to Kreese. To Silver. Whenever you knew something was wrong, you stood up. Even when you had to do it alone." Daniel listed before he quickly turned to Miguel on his left. "You turned your rival into your best friend." Daniel said before he looked over to his right and smiled at the two Lawrence's standing beside him.
"You patched things up with your dad, got a better relationship with your sister."
Robby turned to Johnny and Jules and Jules smiled up at him. Daniel looked back to Robby and raised his eyebrows. "No one has adapted more than you. So tell me... Can you do it again?" Daniel asked and as Robby's face slowly started to harden in determination, Julianna's smile turned into a smirk.
"Go kick his ass." She whispered, making her brother turn to her one last time. As soon as their eyes locked, Jules nodded her head slowly, making Robby snicker. He nodded back at her before sending one more smile to his senseis and walking back onto the mat.
When the fight started, Axel made the first move, kicking his leg out high. He aimed straight for Robby's head, but Robby's arms shot up and he quickly blocked the hit with his forearms.
Axel grabbed Robby's shoulders and threw him backward, making Robby stumble. After a second, he found his footing just as Axel started to throw a series of high kicks his way. Robby blocked and hit away each one, ducking under the last. When he straightened back up, Robby was instantly met with Axel's elbow crashing into his face.
"Point!"
Robby staggered back, and Axel jumped for him, his fist already raised. Robby quickly slapped both of Axel's hands away, leaving his chest completely open.
Robby took the opportunity and punched Axel in the ribs.
"Point!"
Jules smiled, letting out a small breath she didn't even know she was holding in. Her eyes moved to the scoreboard and she licked her lips when she saw the fight was 7-2. Julianna turned back to the fight and clapped her hands as loud as she could. "Come on, Robby! You've got this!"
Robby threw another punch toward Axel's jaw, but Axel caught it mid-swing. Without wasting a second, Axel hit right underneath it, punching Robby in the ribs just like Robby had done to him seconds ago.
"Point!"
Robby lifted his leg to kick Axel's stomach and Axel caught it, gripping Robby's ankle tightly. He had Robby trapped—he could pull Robby's leg and he'd his the ground, but Robby twisted midair, using his momentum to swing his free leg up and kick his foot into Axel's face.
"Point!"
"Yes, Robby!" Jules screamed, grabbing onto her dad's shoulders next to her and jumping. Johnny chuckled, looking away from the fight to Jules, gently holding onto her hand as Axel let go of Robby's leg, his jaw clenched. He threw a desperate punch straight for Robby's face that Robby didn't have time to block.
"Point!"
He went for another, but this time, Robby caught Axel's fist. Robby spun around, wrapping himself around Axel's arm until his back was pressed to his chest. Then, Robby threw his elbow back, hitting Axel square in the nose.
"Point!"
Jules jumped up and down as she cheered for her brother. Robby jumped back, putting space between him and Axel before launching forward again, his foot hitting Axel right in the stomach.
"Point!"
Axel's jaw clenched in anger and he spun, kicking his leg out into the air and hitting Robby right in the chest. Robby stumbled as the referee called "point" and Julianna cringed, her own chest tightening as if she was the one that got hurt. She closed her eyes when she saw how out of breath Robby was and Axel was already back on him, landing a punch on his face.
"Point!"
When Julianna opened her eyes again, they were going back and forth throwing punches and blocking. And even though Jules wasn't at the AI training with Robby, she knew her twins moves. She watched the way he stepped back just barely every time he threw a punch or blocked them. Then, when there was enough space between him and Axel, Robby raised his leg and spun kicking Axel right in the face.
"Point!"
Robby kept going. He jumped forward, his fist raised to punch Axel, he caught Robby's arm mid-swing, yanking him in and locking him in against his side to trap Robby. Julianna nervously rose her hand up to her lips, chewing on her already badly chipped nails as she waited for Axel to hit Robby again.
But Robby twisted his body and pulled himself out of Axel's side, rolling over Axel's back, and flipping himself free just before landing on his feet. Axel barely had time to turn to him before Robby spun around and kicked Axel square in the jaw.
"Point Keene!" The referee yelled just as the buzzer blared throughout the arena, signaling the end of the second match.
Jules let out a happy laugh as Robby walked toward the team. "That's great you got five points!" She gushed, throwing her hands out to her sides in excitement.
Robby tried to look on the positive side, but in the end, it was always Jules that was more optimistic between the two of them. He really tried to listen to her words, but he shrugged hopelessly.
"Yeah, but so did he." He muttered. Julianna's face faltered as Johnny took a step forward, his eyes glued on Robby.
"So what? Now you see he's not a machine. He's human. But if you wanna catch up, you're gonna have to do a knockdown" Johnny said and Jules quickly nodded in agreement, stepping forward so she was shoulder to shoulder with her dad, both of them looking up at Robby.
"Knock him on his ass." Jules said with a big smirk on her face, pulling Robby's eyes off of their dad and into her. He took a deep breath at that, his shoulders straightening as he tried to focus all of the control and power he had left for this final round.
As Robby turned around to walk back onto the mat, his entire team cheered him on from behind him.
"Fight!"
Axel started the fight off with a high kick that Robby gratefully blocked. Robby threw his own series of punches left and right, but Axel blocked each and every one of them. Robby's jaw clenched as he took a step back and swung his foot out to kick Axel's side.
Axel caught his leg mid-air and he kept Robby's leg under his armpit as he flipped the two of them into the air. They slammed onto the mat with a sickening crack, and when Jules heard Robby start to scream, her heart sank.
In seconds, she and Johnny were on the mat and running toward Robby.
"Hey!" Johnny screamed, sprinting toward Robby with Jules right behind him. "Robby!" She screamed, barely hearing her own voice as she ran toward him, panic gnawing at her. Her focus was locked on her brother.
Until Axel jumped away from him as if he were on fire.
She watched as he started walking away–back toward his team as if he hadn't just hurt Robby. His eyes were on something just past her, but Julianna didn't care. Her clenched and it was as if everything else faded as her focus narrowed on Axel.
Jules could've bet her vision blurred as her steps moved away from Robby and toward Axel. Like she was looking through a tunnel with the edges going dark and her focus locked onto a single target.
Before she even realized she was moving. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Julianna screamed as she stormed forward and shoved Axel as hard as she could in the back. He stumbled forward, nearly losing his balance before turning around to look at Jules with wide eyes.
Her hands balled into fists as she looked up at the boy a good six inches taller than her. She was ready to hit him and her fist even sung back before she felt hands grab her shoulders and pull her back. Jules figured it was maybe Daniel, or Chozen, or even Miguel or Eli that pulled her back, but it wasn't until they spoke that she knew it was Daniel.
"Julianna, back up." He whispered, pulling her away from Axel and toward Robby, who was still on the floor, screaming in pain.
In seconds, her anger was washed away and quickly turned into worry at the sight of her brother.
The sight of him made her stomach churn. His face was twisted in pain and his eyes filled with tears. Julianna dropped to her knees by his head and next to her dad. "Hey, hey, it's okay. It's gonna be okay..." She whispered reassuringly, gently moving a few stray hairs out of his face. She looked Robby up and down for any noticeable injuries.
Jules swallowed hard and pressed a gentle hand to Robby's shoulder. "What hurts?"
Robby clenched his jaw, eyes squeezed shut. Another pained cry tore from his throat before he finally spoke, his voice coming out barely above a whisper. "My knee!" He groaned in pain.
Jules looked down at Robby's leg and even though his knee was still covered by the pant leg of his gi, he could faintly see a bump under the fabric. Her stomach churned as she looked back at Robby and continued to run her hand over his tied up hair.
"It's okay, it's okay..." She whispered as everyone in the arena started to boo. It was getting so loud, Jules started to feel it in her stomach–but maybe that was still just her nerves for Robby.
She felt another person come toward Robby. They gently moved Johnny and Julianna aside and when Jules turned her head, she immediately moved out of the way to give the medic all the room he needed.
"We're gonna get you on your feet, okay?" The medic asked Robby calmly, his eyebrows raised as if it would calm Robby down in any way. Robby only groaned again as a response and the medic sighed. He turned to face Jules on his right and he raised his eyebrows.
"Can you help?" He asked, already starting to grab Robby to help him onto his feet.
Julianna blinked, her mouth opening and closing in a froze stun for a moment before she finally started to nod her head. "Of course." She blurted as she turned back to Robby and gently grabbed his hands to pull him up.
Once he was standing, Jules watched as sweat trialed down her brothers forehead and his face was at least two shades paler than normal. She held onot him a little tighter and gently rubbed her hand up and down his back as they started to lead him toward the locker room.
"Just put your weight on me, alright? I don't mind." She whispered. As they guided Robby off the mat, Julianna's eyes landed on Tory. Her eyes were wide and her face was twisted in worry. When she locked eyes with Jules, Julianna nodded her head in the direction she and the medic were taking Robby, silently telling her to come with and that was all Tory needed to run right behind them with Johnny, Daniel, Chozen, and Shannon.
