The View
After their eventful night, team Lyle went to the view point where you could see the Golden Gate Bridge, it was just starting to get lighter out and the view was beautiful. No one else was there, just them, probably because of how early it was.
Yo-Yo was flat out on top of a picnic table. Neha was talking to Billy on one of the picnic tables. Nick and Stuart were talking to each other about something Emily couldn't make out from where she was sat on the ground near the ledge, writing away on a note pan she stole on the way out of the club.
Her song writing had been blocked for the past few weeks, and she didn't know why but tonight if finally opened up for her to write down what she was thinking, how she was feeling.
It had been a while when Stuart walked over to sit down next to her, and she looked up with a smile.
"What's that?" He asked, nodding at the note pad in her hand.
"I took it from the club. It's my next song." She admitted with a small smile and a shrugged as she flipped it closed and sat it next to her, looking up at Stuart with a small smile.
She looked at him for a minute before reaching up and taking his glasses off and putting them on her own face, causing him to chuckle as she looked through them, and then took them off with a scoff and a deadpan look.
"These aren't even percripted. You just bought these at some dollar store, didn't you?" She asked in amusement, he gave her a fake shush and put them back on his face.
"I like having mysteries." He shrugged and she laughed.
"It's not a mystery, it's a lie." She told him in amusement, shaking her head as she turned back to the view. But she could still feel his eyes on her, so she turned back to him. "The others know we had sex." She said and he nodded.
"They do." He agreed.
"We made out, before failed the task and were probably about to have sex before the fight." She told him and he nodded.
"I was hoping." He agreed and she smiled slightly.
"So where does that leave us? Because we've done passed the point where we're just sex when we've lost." She told him and he sighed with a shrug.
"I don't know." He admitted, and before they could keep talking about it, they heard the guys talking to Lyle, and turned around to look before getting up to join them, with Emily grabbing the note pad as they walked over.
"Lyle!" Nick yelled as they walked over. "Looks like you hit it off with Saffron tonight!"
Lyle came out from the bushes singing a song to himself, Nick was talking about the girl Lyle was talking to last night at the club. Everyone made their way towards Lyle to hear what had gone on.
"I'm texting her that I love her and I'm sending her this picture I just took of little Lyle when he made pee in the bushes! Look he's winking." Lyle slurred, he was still drunk. He turned his phone around to show them all but Nick stopped him.
"No, Lyle Lyle Lyle!" Nick started. "That's a horrible idea. Please don't do that you're drunk off your ass."
"I appreciate your concern but I'm flyin', baby!" Lyle sing songed.
"Okay Lyle you're not flying, but what's seventeen squared?" Billy asked him to prove to him that he was drunk.
"Two eighty nine, why?" Lyle shrugged as if it was nothing.
"Okay come on give me a harder question than that. You know I'm driving with this." Billy asked the rest of the team.
"Try, uh, maybe the square root of seventeen." Stuart asked Lyle.
"Like, four point two three maybe?" Lyle asked, and Nick got an idea.
"That's the app." He said. "That's the app we should do right there."
"What?" Billy asked, confused.
"Some quiz question you gotta answer before you send a drunk text or drunk email or drunk phone call. Something to protect you from yourself!" Nick suggested, and everyone started smiling in realization that this idea was a great idea.
"That's good. Can we do that?" Billy asked, looking at them.
"Hells yeah we could do that!" Neha cheered.
Yo-Yo lifted his head from the table, he still looked half asleep. "Are you shitting me I could program the shit out of that bitch on the bus ride home." He then put his head back down after he finished his sentence.
"I'll take that as an overwhelming yes then! Come on!" Billy yelled.
"Let's roll!" Nick agreed. "Let's get back to HQ!"
"Hey, wait, wait." Stuart said and they all turned to him, "Let's-Let's stay, like, five minutes, you know? Just enjoy the view a little more?"
"Alright." Nick said, nodding as they all sat back down.
"Yeah?" Stuart asked.
"Wow. Yeah." Nick said, nodding.
Emily smiled as she got another idea for her song and started scribbling it down, and slowly it caught the other's attention.
"Come on, I thought we were supposed to be looking at the view." Billy said with a sigh.
"One minute, and I'm done." Emily said to them.
"What is that?" Neha asked the girl.
"New song." She said shortly, continuing to scribble stuff down.
"Wait, really? Can we hear it?" Neha asked, excitedly as Emily finished writing the lyrics. She had the music for it sitting on her phone, she wrote the music before leaving for Google, she just didn't have the words to put it with, till now.
"No. It's a little early, and embarrassing. But I was half drunk when writing it." Emily said, shaking her head.
"Come on. Night of fun, remember? The sun isn't fully up for a few more minutes, come on." Nick told her and she looked around at the others before sighing and nodding, taking out her phone.
"I had writing some music at the start of the summer, I just, I didn't have anything to put it with till now." She told them, putting her phone on the table next to her as the music started playing and she started singing.

"I stay up late, and I talk to the moon
And I can't stop telling him all about you
Wonder if you do the same thing I do"
She started, not looking up from her notepad, as Billy started filming her with Stuart's phone, because he apparently never gave that back. Everyone else was glancing at Stuart, who had his eyes trained on the girl, slightly wide as he listened.
"These four white walls they know more than my friends
They watch me type messages I'll never send
This is the place that I just can't pretend to be alright
Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?
Of you staring at it all the time?
'Cause it's seen so many nights where I cry
And I yell at the sky for not telling you how I feel
Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?"
"Oh my God." Neha whispered to Nick and Billy, both of whom nodded back with smiles on their faces.
"I get up early and talk to the sun
And ask her for guidance
But she ain't got none
How am I supposed to know you're not the one
I'm begging to the mirror 'cause I can't find an answer
Too busy falling apart
And I wonder if you're moving on
If you are, what's your secret?
'Cause I can't work out where to start"
That's the part that had them glancing at each other, was it about Stuart or someone else? 'if you're moving on', Neha guessed it had something to do with the Strippers from last night, but the others weren't so sure. Then again, men are idiots.
"Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?
Of you staring at it all the time?
'Cause it's seen so many nights where I cry
And I yell at the sky for not telling you how I feel
Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?
I stay up late, and I talk to the moon
I can't stop telling him all about you
Wonder if you do the same thing I do
I get up early and talk to the sun
Ask her for guidance, but she ain't got none
Wonder if you do the same thing I do
I hope you do
Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?
Of you staring at it all the time?
'Cause it's seen so many nights where I cry
And I yell at the sky for not telling you how I feel
Is your bedroom ceiling bored?
Is your bedroom ceiling bored like mine?"
After the music died out Emily slowly looked up at the others. She saw all of the looks on their faces, and looked between them.
"Is it bad? It's bad, isn't it? I hate writing romance songs." Emily rambled, closing the note book and shaking her head. "Actually it was the first one I've written, but you get my point." She continued to ramble, shaking her head at herself.
"No! No! It was amazing!" Neha said, a bright grim breaking out on her face.
"Really?" She asked, looking up at them.
"Yeah!" They all cheered.
"Stormy?" Emily asked, looking at the only one who hadn't said anything.
"Amazing, yeah." He nodded, he looked to be in a bit of thought, but Emily pushed it a side as she continued to smile brightly.
"I can't believe it's your first love song." Billy told her and she laughed.
"Well, believe it." She shrugged. "I mean, I've gone one a few dates, had sex, but I've never actually likes someone." She told them, "No one worthy of a song at least."
"Well, whoever it is, he's a lucky guy." Nick told him, and they all glanced at Stuart as Emily broke out into giggles and a big red blush.
"Thanks." She told them all.
