Finally Coming Home
"Daddy?"
Reaper looked up from the novel he was reading, placing a small raven feather as a book mark. The tale was interesting, telling of a story of a man which had suddenly lost his whole world and was forced into another, alone. However, along the way, he met a person which became his most trusted companion and the two went off into the new world with each other. Reaper couldn't help but think the story sounded a little familiar... "Yes?"
Goth stared up into the canopy of the twisted and wilted tree, giving his father a very concerned look. "I...I don't know what's happening, Daddy!"
Reaper rose an imaginary eyebrow before properly closing his book and floating down. "What do you mean, Goth?"
The child grabbed at his father's sleeve, hurriedly pulling him towards a group of lilies. Silently, Goth let go of Reaper and approached one of the flowers, carefully setting a finger on one of it's delicate petals.
Almost instantly, the whole lily group shriveled and blackened, soon shrinking down to nothing but black dust. In panic, Goth turned to his father. "Why did that happen?" He asked, a hint of fear in his voice.
The young skeleton didn't receive an answer, for the god of death had gone silent, his eye-sockets becoming even darker and emptier. "...Goth. I need you to stay out of the garden and go inside to get your things."
"Why-"
"Come on. Get inside."
With a nudge from his father, Goth quickly hurried inside, passing by the goddess. "Reaper? What happened? I just sensed a large amount of death and-" She stopped upon seeing her lilies. "...What did you do...?"
"Tori, I need to leave your sanctuary..." She turned to her friend, looking a little frightened. Reaper started floating towards her home.
"Where are you going?" She questioned, following the distressed deity.
Reaper panicked. "I don't know...but anywhere other than here. At this point, they will find you."
"Impossible! The king hasn't sensed my magic for centuries!" She hollered.
Reaper opened the door, briefly looking back in fear.
"I wasn't talking about the king."

"Where are we going, dad?" Goth whispered, tightly in the arms of Reaper. He was sitting at a bus stop in the middle of the woods, a lone lamp post as the only light they had.
The god briefly looked down and sighed. "Well, we cannot stay at Tori's place and I really do not want to go to the Kingdom in the sky... So, we're going to the only place I know besides the 'Light'."
Goth blinked before tilting his head. "Why are we going away?"
Reaper's grip on Goth tightened as he quickly looked around for a brief moment. "...I don't want them to take you away to."
Before Goth could ask Reaper what he meant, the god stood. He took a deep breathe and stepped forward. The world suddenly buzzed and flickered, bending and swirling until everything was black. Goth blinked. "Dad? Where are we?"
"Home."
Reaper set Goth down on the 'floor', letting Goth feel the coolness of it. "But I thought the garden was our home."
Reaper chuckled. "That's Toriel's home." The god looked around for a bit, trying to find something.
Finally, he spotted something in the distance and took Goth's hand, flying over to it. Once they got to the object, Reaper set the both of them down and stood before it, smiling sadly. Goth looked at it curiously. "Is that a couch?"
"Yep." With that, Reaper walked forward and flopped onto it. "It is a couch for dead hot fish, I guess."
"What?"
Reaper laughed at the thought and waved it off. "It's nothing."
The smaller skeleton climbed up on what was not taken up by Reaper and sat on it. Goth peered around, taking in the dark nothingness. "This is our home?"
"Yep."
"Why?"
"Well..." Reaper shut his eye-sockets, smiling.
"This is where I met Geno."
