You're movements seemed fast to you, your brain scramble for the answers as you go through the boxes in the attic. Law watches you, guilt in his features. He had tried to put you at ease but you were off in a different place so you couldn't hear him.

You soon stop, pulling out the picture of you, your dad, and mom. And La-la... You relax a bit, fingers drifting over the boy in the picture, he held your hand, smiling at the camera with you. You turn the picture over reading the writing on the back out loud.

"You missed it Sengoku-san, Law purposed to her today, it was the cutest little thing... They really like each other. And he's so happy here..." Your voice cracks, the pain in your chest building up as you lower the picture. Law shifts behind you.

"Why can't I remember you..?" You look back at him. "What... What happened? La-la?" You ask. He swallows.

"I.... I don't remember it all either... I only remember you... ___.." He murmurs. You get up, glancing back down at the back of the picture.

"Mom won't tell me.... Maybe this Sengoku guy can help..." You murmur. He blinks and nods.

"We'll look for him tomorrow... It's really late now.." He reaches for your hand carefully. You nod and take his hand. He kisses your knuckles before guiding you back down to your room. "Sleep well..." He touches your cheek before turning to leave. You grab his hand.

"I can't without you." You whisper when he looks back. He nods and leads you in, taking off his shoes and jacket, glancing at you as you do the same before crawling into bed with you. You face him, fingers trailing his tattoos softly.

"Will you be okay?" He asks quietly, a slight tremor in his voice.

"Why did you come back Law? What are you hiding from me?" You ask focusing on his tattoos.

"To protect you... Your uncle knows you have the ability... Ever since you brought that demon to the mansion." He murmurs.

"Were you the one that told him..?" You sniff.

"No, you seemed happy with it... The room you were in was bugged... He heard it all, but all I heard was static..." He looks down frowning. "I don't know why, but I couldn't see or hear it..."

"So you can see them." You murmur. He nods, glancing toward the door.

"Yeah... They're worried about you too... I put this here in hopes that if he had someone watching you, you could really seem like you didn't have the ability..." He takes off the bracelet and you blink looking over as Ace cuddles your back, eyes grey from your sadness. Sabo and your father stood near the door. Sabo looks worried while your father was sniffling.

"I'm sorry..." Your father sniffles.

"It's not your fault daddy... I don't know what happened exactly but I know you tried your hardest to protect us." You murmur.

"She's right... This is more my fault... If you hadn't tried to save me, you'd still be here and ___ would be safe..." Law murmurs covering his face. You frown and hug him tightly.

"Shh... It's not your fault either Law... You had little power over all this... And it gave me the chance to fall for your demon too." You breathe thoughtfully. He relaxes and pauses before looking at you.

"My demon...?" He echoes confused.

"That's why you couldn't see or hear that demon, it was yours... He was following her for a while there... I guess it's fate..." Sabo muses him.

"We'll leave you alone now... I'm happy you found each other again.." Rocinante smiles, turning for the door.

"Dad.. What happened?"

"I can't really remember it all either... There are chunks missing... Maybe Sengoku can help... He was a sheriff back then." He tells you before going out with Sabo. Ace sits up, rubbing your cheek thoughtfully.

"I believe it now." He murmurs when you look at him. You blush and smile.

"Thank you..." You manage, he gives a smile before heading out. You look back at Law, you find him watching you carefully.

"So the one who died was my demon?" He asks carefully. You nod and smile thoughtfully.

"Yeah... He got killed by another demon, saving me... Ace had to come save me after that..." You breathe bringing his hand to your cheek. Law's thumb caresses your cheek.

"I'm glad even that part of me would save you... I couldn't stand the thought of you..." He trails off not wanting to finish his sentence.

"Right back at you..." You murmur shaking. "I love you so much... I don't want to be separated from you again..."

"I love you too... I'm not leaving you again..." He whispers hugging you tightly, leaning in to kiss you when a red flash of lightning makes you both freeze and look out your window as red paints the sky briefly. Your eyes widen and you get up, swiftly getting dressed like you had for hell. Law sits up and blushes slightly.

"___? What are you doing?" He asks.

"I'm going to see what caused that flash." You reply before going out. He follows after you, putting on his shoes and jacket.

"Why? That can't be good whatever did it." He says.

"Because, the last time I saw that lightning, your demon got taken to hell and died when I went to save him." You tell him.

"___... I'm right here, why do you want to go now?"

"I need closure... I need to find out what happened... I'm so tired of not knowing." You tell him, opening the front door as Zoro runs up.

"I called the others, it's near the school." He tells you, glancing at Law.

"Alright... Sabo and Ace must be heading there already." You go down the steps, Law close behind.

"You saw it too?" Law asks him.

"Yeah, all of my friends can see now." You tell him.

"Yeah, it's nice to be able to understand my best friend now." He bumps his knuckles against yours. "Now let's go see what's going on."
