Chapitre 23

(Y/N) Pov:

Finally! The hospital decided to let you go after you don't know how much time. You must say that you really bothered them to do so for a very long time and, as they saw you weren't hurt at all and your body recovered physically very fast, they accepted.

So now you were in your parents's car, they had been visiting you for almost every day after they found out about your surgery. Strangely, they said that the hospital didn't called them and it was (B/F/N) that told them about it. Pff, you can never trust industries or companies to call you in time. Hopefully (B/F/N) was here to told them, otherwise you wouldn't have saw them before a few weeks minimum.

Your family arrived to your house, you had sent a message to (B/F/N) in the morning to tell them that you left the hospital. (F/N) opened the door and your mother turned to look at you.

-"Okay (Y/N), the hospital allowed to let you go early but if you start to feel the single bit of pain, notice them immediately, understood?" She told you, you nodded, understanding the point. She looked at you for a moment before sighing and entering the house. You looked up at the facade and smiled. How you missed your house! You realised that you could sleep in your own bed again! It's been months! You quickly entered the house and smiled at the familiar atmosphere.

-"(Y/N), why don't you go up into your room? Me and your mother will make dinner." You heard your father said, you looked at him and nodded before heading to the stairs. You climbed up and entered your precious room. You gasped. You didn't know that you missed it so much! It looked exactly like you left it! 'Mom or dad must have cleaned it in my absence.' You thought.

You looked around, you thanked the above that your parents didn't dig into your stuff, you're very uncomfortable with it. And embarrassed of what they could find even if you didn't have anything to hide. Well, something physical at least.

You sat on your bed. Even if (B/F/N) told you they went to your room sometimes when you were unconscious, you didn't saw a single clue of their passages. Seriously, if they didn't told you, you wouldn't have thought for a second they went here. 'They could be a good spy.' You joked internally.

After that, you did the most satisfying thing you could have done and layed on your bed on your back. Your parents must have changed the covers for your return so the sheets were fresh and smelled like new... Or something? You don't really know how to describe it but it was very confortable.

You stayed in this position until your parents called you for dinner, you went down to see that your parents had already put everything on the table. You thanked them and sat. Soon the three of you started eating. The silence was broke by your mother.

-"So, what are you planning to do (Y/N)?" She asked, you knew it was because you had finished your exams and that you were adult. Thankfully you had think about it during your stay at the hospital!

-"Well, for now I'll be looking for a job to pay the studio that I'll be sharing with (B/F/N). It's been a long time now that we talk about it so it's decided. I'm still thinking about a job that could pick my interest for good but I don't see any." You explained to them, a bit excited about your project. After all, you knew your parents didn't have anything against it and you and (B/F/N) were both very enthusiastic at the idea.

-"Well, you chose to turn towards the history and geography so why not finding a job in these directions?" Your mom asked, you grimaced.

-"It's true that I love these subjects but I don't know if I wanna work in it. Plus, I don't know a lot of the jobs there are." You told her, she just shrugged. After all, you had time and you already have a idea of what to do.

After the dinner you insisted to do the dishes, it's been long since you had done something to help since at the hospital you didn't do a lot of stuff, you just stayed at your room. You put the dishes to dry by themselves, even if you wanted to help you were too lazy to dry them with a tea towel.

When you finished you went to the bathroom and change into your pyjamas. You stopped to look into the mirror for a minute, scrutinizing the back of your head. Yes, it has improved, but you couldn't say it looked like before. You sighed, you mustn't be upset about it, at least you're alive.

You layed into your bed before hesitating. During your stay at the hospital, you didn't have your dreams back but you never gave too much thoughts about it. So why were you worried to sleep here?

You sat back, too bothered to rest in peace. You looked at your desk. It reminded you of what (B/F/N) told you. They had been looking through your sketchbook, and they even apologized for damaging one of your drawings. Which one was it? You didn't remember. 'Why not look through it too?' You thought before standing up and heading to your desk.

You kneeled and opened your drawer, taking the precious item. You looked at it's cover. Just a plain and dirty page due to the rain or other things it has been through. But you never drew something on the cover, because you didn't have an idea of what could be representing all the things that the book contained.

You sat on your bed and flipped through the pages. You stopped at one moment, you just opened a double page, the left was empty and the right one had the writing 'My Story' on it. 'It's the part that (B/F/N) Told me about.' you thought. How strange, you don't remember writing something like it. You turned the page to see three characters. Three citizens of the countryhumans's world, even if two were in military uniform.

Because of the flag on the cheek, you could tell it was people of the German Empire. You looked down, 'German Empire.' How was he now? Did WW1 ended yet in their world? You shook your head. 'Stop it (Y/N), it was just a dream, there's no such a thing as the 'countryhumans's world'.' You thought, frowning. Even if it was just a dream, you got attached to the characters, and the fact that the three German citizens looked exactly like your friends didn't make you better. You had no idea of what they had become, even less if they are fine.

You sighed and turned the page. You recognized the pages that (B/F/N) was talking about. They were a bit ripped like you just removed the pages when they were stuck to eachother. You couldn't recognize much of what was drawn in the first place but you could distinct some sketches of bayonets and guns.

After a bit of thinking, you recognized these drawings as random drawings you would do after school in the past years. As for the 'My Story' thing, you remembered that you wanted to make a story but you forgot and when you flipped through your sketchbook you skipped this page without noticing. It happens to you a lot of time at school when you skip a few pages in your notebooks without even noticing. It would explain that these words didn't magically appeared.

'Well, problem solved.' You thought, it was just a coincidence that the 'My Story' part regrouped these drawings. You sighed too tired to look further. It was almost night anyways. You put your sketchbook on your nightstand and layed on your bed. Before you could fall asleep you received a text on your phone.

You looked at it, it was from (B/F/N). They were asking you if you could see them tomorrow. Since you didn't have anything planned, you told them you were free. After a few moments of watching the little dots of their text, sign they were writing, they just bid you goodnight.

You raised an eyebrow since they took a lot of time to answer, but you didn't think too much about it. You put down your phone and layed back. After a few minutes you fell asleep.

You opened your eyes slowly, trying to fight back the tiredness. You yawned and stretched your arms above your head before opening your eyes entirely.

You immediately stopped when you saw where you were. You were sitting on the ground instead of your bed. At this point you weren't too surprised, you were used to it but it was this place in particular that made you stop dead. You were surrounded by multiple graves, you were in a cemetery.

You stood up immediately, trying not to disrespect more the place than you already did. It was late afternoon, you could almost see the sun setting off in the distance. You sighed, it ruined your mood. You looked around, the graves didn't seemed old. In fact they looked like they were made not even a week ago!

Before you could examine more the place, you were interrupted by fast and light footsteps going your way. You turned your head towards the sound. There was a little girl running in your direction. You were still in the countryhumans's 'world' so her skin was gray and her head was round, you looked at the flag on her cheek, it was Weimar's flag.

You frowned. 'That means that WW1 has ended and that German Empire is already dead.' You didn't know how to feel about it. You didn't spend much time together but he was already fond of you, at least that's what you understood. He had protected you against France and the explosions. Okay you were definitely sad now.

You tried to hide it when the little girl arrived next to you, she was looking up at you with nervous eyes and she was holding fresh flowers. Something in her look was familiar to you.

-"Do you need something?" You asked her after kneeling at her size. She seemed to have been lost in her trance but she was still nervous. Even her nervousness was familiar, like you already saw it before.

-"I lost my mommy, did you see her?" She asked you, with worried eyes. Okay no wonder she's scared she's in a cemetery all alone and she lost her mother.

-"No I haven't. But if you want we could search her together?" You asked her and she nodded. You tried to look for someone but you didn't see anyone in this area so you asked the child if she wanted to hold your hand while you were walking and she nodded.

-"Why do you look so weird?" She asked you. Ouch, that hurts.

-"How do I look weird?" You asked her, still walking hand by hand, even if you kinda knew already the answer.

-"Well, your skin is colorful instead of gray, you have hair on your head and you don't have a mark on the cheek." She told you, you stayed silent, you weren't surprised by her answer but you didn't know how to respond to that. You kept walking, still trying to look for her mother.

-"Not without mentioning your clothes." She told you. You raised an eyebrow, you didn't remember wearing something too different from theirs. You looked down and facepalmed, before blushing in embarrassment. You were still in your pyjamas! You were in a graveyard in pyjamas! Talking of disrespect.

-"Yeah, usually I don't go out wearing something like that." You sweatdropped. 'She's still a child so she doesn't mind it too much but what about her mother?!' You thought, already imagining her mother glaring at you for disrespect towards the place.

-"Mommy!" The girl exclaimed before running towards a woman that you didn't notice before. 'Speaking of which.' You thought.

The woman turned towards the sound to widen her eyes at the girl, she quickly walked towards the child and hugged her.

-"Oh dear, you worried me so much! I thought I had lost you for good!" She exclaimed, embracing tightly her little girl. She stopped and put her hands on her cheeks.

-"Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" She asked, concern in her voice. You were feets away from them, still uncomfortable with the fact you were still in a cemetery. The little girl reassured her mother.

-"Don't worry mommy, someone helped me!" She said, not seeing the worried face of her mother.

-"Oh really? Who's that?" She said, apprehension in her voice, after all who wouldn't? Her child was left alone in a graveyard and a unknown person approached her. The little girl giggled.

-"Them!" She said while pointing at you. The mother stood up to look at you while you were here, standing alone, in your pyjamas with a foreign appearance. Quite scary huh? Imagine she thinks you're an alien?!

-"Uhm, hello?" I said, waving awkwardly. The mother and the daughter approached me and the woman widened her eyes whe she saw my physical traits. We both faced eachother in silence with the daughter not understanding why her mother didn't move nor talk.

-"It's not possible..." You heard the mother whispered to herself. You raised an eyebrow about what she's saying before she let go of her daughter's hand to search something into her bag. You and the little girl both looked at her, completely lost, before she took out a letter.

She seemed to read the letter while taking glances of you, at one moment her eyes went up and down to the letter to me. I could even see small tears starting to form in the corner of her eyes. Now I was getting worried.

-"Are... Are you okay Ma'am?" You asked her with a confused voice. She ended up by letting out a shaky breath and start walking towards me.

-"Are you..." She started, looking at me in the eyes.

-"Are you the angel of the trench?"
