-"(B/F/N)!! What are you doing!?" You yelled in horror as you looked at the figure further away, you tried to move but you couldn't, as if a force was restraining you to do so. Tears flowed out your eyes as you tried to reach out for them.
All your surroundings were a blur, but you could identify fire and smoke, something you were getting familiar with, the sounds of burnt grass being stepped on, you tried to look at where the footsteps were coming from.
-"I'm sorry, (Y/n)." You heard their voice, blank, but you could still sense it was slightly shaky like if they were forcing themselves to not cry. And then, everything went black.
------------------------------------------------------------
-"NO!!" You shouted and woke up with a start, your heart beating faster than light itself. You put a hand over your chest as you tried to calm you down.
'This was just a dream, don't worry...' You repeated in your mind as you took deep breaths. You haven't gotten so shaken up by a dream since your last lucid 'dream'.
After you calmed down you tried to remember what the dream was about. 'I only remember shouting (B/F/N)'s Name in distress... what happened?'
You took a deep breath and wiped away the sweat that was on your face. It's been a few days now since you're at Prussia's with (B/F/N), let's say between you both it didn't get better but it didn't get worse either, you just couldn't help but notice they were the one who would avoid you most of the time.
Maybe you wanted to just talk it out with them, maybe you regretted the distance there was now between you both and it just influenced your nightmare? Maybe, but you're not convinced.
You sighed and got out of bed, you were just gonna prepare and see what would today brings you. When you finally changed yourself, (a habit you somehow got during your stay) you finally went downstairs to eat something.
。:゚timeskip゚:。
-"If I were to say so myself, you look like crap." You turned your head towards the voice and looked blankly at Prussia, who was sipping into his orange juice while looking at you lazily.
-"Well, sorry but it's not my fault I spent a horrible night." You sighed as you rubbed your eyes, somehow hoping it would wipe away your dark eyebags. He snickered.
-"Yeah, but you're also lucky I'm not offended by it,unlike most countryhumans at that time." He smiled and walked over to you, handing you over a wet cloth to put on your forehead.
-"Here, I can see you have a fever." He said softly as he helped you putting it on your forehead, your hands touching for a moment. You both stared into eachother's eyes before he cleared his throat and stepped back, looking away while doing so.
-"Thank you..." You said slowly, as you pressed a bit the wet cloth on your forehead. There was an awkward silence between you before it was broken by the loud sipping of Prussia in his orange juice. Wait a minute...
-"Wait, is it a carton of orange juice?" You asked out loud while looking at it. It's not supposed to exist in the 18th century, or you just really suck in history consistency.
-"Uhm... yeah." He said while looking at the tiny carton he was holding.
-"Wasn't it created in like, the 20th century?" You asked him, raising an eyebrow. He looked back at you.
-"Uhm... yeah." He repeated, smiling sheepishly. You facepalmed.
-"So how did you get it in the middle of the 18th century?" You asked him blankly, clearly it was dumb, wait a minute... how did he know it was created in the 20th century in the first place ? You swear this man is so weird...
-"I don't know." He said in a joyful tone, smiling at you. You blinked. 'Does he seriously doesn't know? Plus, he already mentioned multiple times signs of being self aware.' You sighed, too much thinking, not enough asking. You looked at him and tilted your head.
-"How are you self-aware?" You asked him, he looked surprised before he pondered the question, putting his hand to his chin in a cartoonish fashion.
"Hmmm..." He exaggeratedly expressed out loud his thinking while looking at the ceiling. After a few minutes he looked back down at you.
-"Honestly, I don't really know. I was just created this way, I just know the author did this for a reason, mostly because I wasn't supposed to be here in the first place, and since I was just added, they decided to give me self consciousness."
He finally said, looking down at you with a small smile. You nodded, his explanation was understandable, even if some pieces were still missing, but it's not like he could find and tell them, only one person could. You sighed.
-"Guess our author really likes fourth wall breaking huh?" You said to no one in particular, looking boringly at the ground. Prussia blinked in confusion.
-"What exactly does the fourth wall breaking mean?" He asked you in slight confusion. You looked back up at him before answering.
-"Oh, uhm... it's just a term often used in fanfictions or some other places where it just refers to when we point out things or act in a way which show we're self aware or something... I don't really know how to explain it..." You scratched your neck in embarrassment, you definitely didn't have a way with words. But he still hummed and nodded, showing he understood so that's fine.
-"I know what they are but I never read fanfictions." He suddenly said out of nowhere. You sweatdropped.
-"Oh, uhm... I think it's better if you don't..." You told him in an embarrassed tone which he responded to by laughing.
-"Aha, I know it's better if I don't! I was just curious but at the same time I'm not suicidal. Even just the reason why I was ended up by being added wasn't from a family-friendly request!" (Staring intensely to one person in particular)
He chuckled before he looked back at you, a bit more seriously.
-"Anyway, what are you going to do with (B/F/N)? I can clearly see it bothers you to be cold like this towards each other." He told you with slight concern in his tone for both of you and (B/F/N), it was such a clear contrast between the previous countryhumans you were talking to that were completely discarding (B/F/N). However, at his question you sighed.
-"I don't know. It's just we never had been into such an argument like this before. We're both adults now so things can change but... We've always been so close, and now suddenly it faltered. And the worst thing is, I don't know why! (B/F/N) still has plenty of things hidden from me, and I notice how they have trouble keeping them all in.
I know they just want to keep both of us safe, maybe me even more than them, but I can't just let them do this. Even more in the situation we're in. We might be more distanced than before, but we have to still be at least together because we're in a situation that requires it."
You explained, looking at the ground while frowning. You had to stick together, maybe your friendship will falter, but you were now in a completely different world you're used to, and the things you both know could affect everything, that's why you must be together, to help each other and avoid any troubles (which for now didn't really work but still, you know you have to keep hoping). Prussia looked at you in silence before he put his hand on your shoulder and smiled reassuringly at you.
-"If you know that you have to talk about it to them, then just do it now. Don't be afraid, they're still the (B/F/N) you know. The only thing is that the troubles you two are experiencing are completely different, but that doesn't mean yours are less important than theirs and vice-versa."
You stayed silent, looking at the floor while being lost in your thoughts. You looked up to meet Prussia's gaze.
-"You know, don't you?" You asked him in a serious tone, your gaze piercing his.
-"You know what they hide, what they're going through. You know what I went through too, you know how we ended up here, and you know what we'll be going through in the future." You told him while looking at him firmly. He looked back at you with a hesitant haze before he finally sighed.
"I... do know." He spoke slowly, his eyes glanced at the ground before being back at you.
-"Let's say the author gave me some glimpses." He added, his gaze now meets yours firmly. You both stayed quiet after that, looking at each other in silence before you finally nodded.
-"Alright." You said, stepping back. You pursued your lips and breathed out. You looked back at Prussia with a softer gaze even if the serious discussion was still lingering on your mind.
-"Thank you. I'm going to talk to (B/F/N) now." You spoke lowly but put a small smile on your face to try and ease the tension in the air before you turned around and walked out of the room to go and find (B/F/N).
Prussia stood still, looking at where you just left, his mind elsewhere. After a moment he finally teared his gaze away from the door you just walked out from and turned around. He put his hand to his face as he sighed, trying to make the blush on his cheeks go away. He could comprehend the reason why the other countryhumans were so infatuated with you, even if he himself would never be in such an unhealthy and obsessive mindset of love.
-"But alas." He sighed and looked through one of the numerous windows of the room.
-"This fanfiction here doesn't really care about a pure and healthy love." He spoke sadly, looking at the vast land he was the personification of.
-"How much blood will be spilled before they will finally be satisfied?"

'Where are they?' You huffed as you walked through another corridor of the Prussian palace. There's really too much room, even more if Prussia is just living alone, he doesn't even have any servants! Before you could grumble any more your eyes caught glimpse of a familiar figure walking across.
-"(B/F/N)!" You called out, they stopped in surprise and turned around towards the voice, being even more surprised to see you walking over.
-"Oh, (Y/N), I didn't expect to see you." (B/F/N) said in a surprised tone, which unfortunately got out a bit monotonous, you felt a bit concerned when you saw that their state was even worse than yours. They looked like they haven't slept in days and were having the more stress they ever had. You swear they weren't even 5% like that the day before their college exams.
-"I wanted to talk to you." You said calmly. They looked at you, seeing they couldn't get away from this they sighed and faced you.
-"I guess we should." They said, looking at you, their eyebags were concerning. After looking at each other in silence for a while they chuckled dryly.
-"Wow, it must be one of the few times where we'll be acting like adults." They joked, their appearance and voice made it obvious that they were exhausted but their attempts to ease the atmosphere put a slight smile on your face.
-"It's not my fault, most of the time you're the one doing the childish things." You teased back, as the tension went down slightly, they chuckled a bit.
-"Maybe but you're stupid enough to follow me." Your smile faltered a bit when they said this, you couldn't help but think back at your 'deaths'. It was true you followed their crazy idea, leading to the both of you ending in that world with no way back. However, you tried to put back a smile and replied.
-"Maybe, but it didn't hurt us too much for now right?" You chuckled back. This time, it was them whose smile faltered, they frowned sadly and looked down, gulping. Your smile faltered too as you looked at them in concern, leaving the two of you into an awkward silence once again. After what seemed a long moment you sighed.
-"Listen..." you looked at (B/F/N) and put your hands onto their shoulders.
-"You're my best friend. I thought I'd stop calling you that because of the tensions and all the arguments we got into, but I realized I still see you as my best friend. And, as a best friend to another, I shall say the truth." You started, looking at them seriously, they looked up, their eyes meeting yours, there was surprise and slight curiosity in them, which led you to finally speak the truth.
-"You suck at hiding your problems." You said blankly, making them blink and sweatdropping before their mood went down again, they were about to speak but you covered their mouth.
-"No, no, no... let me speak." You said, looking at them calmly. They frowned before nodding hesitantly and you pulled away your hand off their mouth.
-"Like I was saying, I can clearly see you have problems, even back home, I would notice whenever you hid something, but I never pointed it out, thinking it was supposingly not important. But, I recognise my mistake and now that we're in a whole different world, that I know I'm the protagonist of some fanfiction and we're objectively in the middle of a revolutionary era, I claim myself rightful enough to talk of supposedly death or life secrets you're hiding from me."
You spoke with a surprisingly calm and relaxed tone, something you'd never thought of while letting out all your mind was about. (B/F/N) looked at you intensely, their frown was more sad than anything, as it was clear they wanted to just let it all out but were afraid to. You noticed it and squeezed their shoulders reassuringly.
-"(B/F/N), I can't believe I'm saying this because a few days ago I was so angry at you, but, I don't mind if you don't say everything, just tell me some problems you're comfortable enough to say, even if it's only small ones. It'll still make you feel better, I promise. And don't even worry about me judging you ok? I won't.
You looked into their eyes with a soft smile, they looked at you and nodded slightly, their eyes building some tears already. They smiled a bit but it would fade away every time because of how much they just wanted to break out in tears.
-"Th-thank you..." they said quietly. They gulped before looking at you and nodded again, a bit more confident.
-"Alright... I'll tell you some things that bothers me... and... maybe in the future I'll say more." (B/F/N) mumbled, smiling slightly and wiped off the tears that were building up in their eyes. You smiled back at them.
-"Alright! I'll just wait for you to be comfortable enough. Even if I may be impatient at times I'll control myself and respect your wishes, only if you respect mine back, ok? You told (B/F/N) while looking at them intensely, insisting on the last part to which they nodded.
-"Ok... so, I'll just start with a few things..." (B/F/N) mumbled hesitantly, you smiled at them. You really wanted to help them to release some of the stress they were holding in, even if you knew there was still a lot more they would keep in. (B/F/N) took a deep breath before looking up at you and smiled, trying to encourage themselves, before they finally started explaining.
