Chapitre 43

(Y/N) Pov:
After a few minutes of analysing the car in silence, you could now affirm in relief that Third Reich wasn't here. For any clarification on why nothing happened during those few minutes, well, from what you could see those men were a bit busy about something else, but since it was behind the car, (and it was quite large) you couldn't see anything.
Finally, one of the men approached the fence, and tilted his cap towards you three. Berthold and Johann saluted in return while you just stared at him blankly. He must have noticed it by the side eye he gave you.
-"I apologize for interrupting such a pretty day, but I'm on a very important mission." The officer said and bowed slightly before glancing back at you.
-"You're sir/lady (Y/N), I suppose?" He asked, and you were tempted to say no, and just turn around and walk away. But, you nodded, some movements towards the car attracted your gaze but you did your best to focus on the thing at bay.
-"Yes, it's me. Why would I have the honour to meet an honourable officer like you?" You greeted him with sarcasm, and either he didn't notice or he ignored it pretty well. You went more on the first suggestion.
-"Sir Third Reich asked for you to come meet him. I assume it's mostly self-explanatory on why you should come with us." He told you, looking serious as ever. You couldn't help but notice the familiar emotionless personality. Their soul is as gray as the colour of their skin. And the flag on their cheek is like their cell, something that is trapping them forever.
-"Of course he did..." You sighed, and shook your head. You noticed Berthold who wanted to speak up to interfere but a simple glance from you is enough to make him stop. You gave him a reassuring nod, before looking back at the officer.
-"Alright. I'll follow you. But just because I know how useless it is for me to try to run away from the plot." You said, and without another word, you stepped out of the garden and walked next to the officer. Before making another step, you turned around and waved at Berthold and Johann.
-"Good bye. Hope I'll see you soon. And don't forget to tell Caroline that I would have loved to eat some of that dessert, even if I wasn't supposed to in the first place." You bid them goodbye, Berthold quickly rushed towards you.
-"(Y/N), no!" He exclaimed, and held your shoulders, frowning and looking very upset.
-"You can't leave after we just reunited! We have so much to tell each other yet! And what if you don't come back? I can't... I can't handle seeing all my friends leaving (Y/N)!" Berthold said desperately, but you just smiled a bit and stepped back from his hold.
"Don't worry. Everything is gonna turn up okay. I saved you, didn't I? I can very much save myself." You told him with a smile. You didn't believe any of this. But might as well give him some hope. He knew so little about you still... He didn't know anything about the truth. (Omori vibe) You sighed and took a big breath.
-"Anyway, it's time to go! Johann, we didn't talk much but you seem nice, so just live up to that statement alright?" You announced, and waved goodbye at the two with fake enthusiasm, before turning around and walking ahead of the officer, who stayed in place for a few seconds before breaking out of his trance and following you.
'I still am confused about why Third Reich isn't here, knowing him, it doesn't make any sense.' You thought, frowning, soon you arrived on the side of the car, you looked at it closely. You could see yourself on the polished metal. It was a roofless car, with leathered seats and everything. It was one that you've already seen in some history books or manuals, on some historical photos. You shivered and shook your head to get the thought away you were about to be sitting in the same seat that this man had. Even if the historical figures you knew don't exist in this universe, it was still hard to not think about them.
You sighed and sat up on one of the seats. You hummed a little to yourself, while looking at your surroundings now that you were slightly higher than before. You tried to ignore the three other grown men next to you, in uniform and armed. You stayed in place for a few minutes in silence, but quickly got enough seeing they still didn't start the car, when they were all already here.
-"Uhm, excuse me, but what are you waiti-" Your irritated tone faded away when you suddenly heard two high pitched voices near the car. They were that of children.
-"-It's not fair! You started up sooner!" A little voice exclaimed in the distance, and suddenly a young boy's giggle was heard and then a grunt, as said boy seemed to have climbed over the car, and just fell on the stomach on the car's floor. The first thing you saw of him was his fluffy, jet-black hair. You heard quick footsteps and soon another boy appeared on the side of the car, his arms crossed as he pouted at the other boy.
He had the same black hair, and on his face, a flag, and surely the other had too. Your heart tightened a bit when you recognised the German twins. 'Why are those children here?' You thought, before frowning. You didn't know if those two were like everyone else or if they'll be an exception. Quickly the boys noticed you were there, and an awkward silence followed while they stared at you curiously.
The one you could recognise as East Germany narrowed his eyes at you and was quick to enter the car to get next to his brother, while looking at you warily. West Germany, who was the one who climbed the car, sat up and looked at you with a curious and excited gaze that was so typical of children.
-"Are you the angel that father told us about?! It's so cool! He told us plenty of incredible things about you!" West Germany grinned as he asked you. He wanted to come closer to you but his brother held his shirt so he couldn't get too far.
-"West, Don't approach them too much! We don't know them! Father may have told us that they were nice, but nothing says they'll keep being kind if the person in front of them isn't Father. They might try to hurt you." East interrupted him, looking at you with narrowed eyes. You blinked. You didn't expect that little boy to act so wary and cold when he was laughing a few seconds ago. 'At least he's protecting his brother...' You thought.
-"Uhm..well actually-" You wanted to talk but West interrupted you, whining at his brother.
-"But brother!! They seem so nice, look at them! They are so pretty!" He said while pointing his little arms at you. You couldn't help but smile a bit.
-"Thank you but-"
-"Looks can be deceiving brother! Don't you use anything Father tells in his lessons?" East talked again, facing his brother with his arms crossed. Seriously? Were you really being ignored by two little kids? You grumbled as you put your face into your hands. West finally looked back at you as he got closer to you despite his brother's warning and sat on the seat next to you while looking at you with worried eyes.
-"Are you okay Miss/Sir? Did we upset you by any means?" He asked, you pulled away your hands and looked at him.
-"(Y/N). Just call me (Y/N)." You said, sighing a little before smiling a tiny bit to reassure him.
-"And don't worry about me... It's fine." You finally told him. West Germany just grinned happily as he saw you weren't upset at him.
-"See brother? I told you they were very nice!" He exclaimed as he looked back at his East, who just crossed his arms while grumbling.
-"I'll have to see more than the introduction to know what I think of them!" He replied. While the two continued to bicker, you had a little smile which turned a bit sad. They really reminded you of Weimar and Third Reich as children. Even if you didn't spend a lot of time with them, you really got attached. And those children were like perfect replicas... Well, it would be if Third Reich didn't act too much like a small gremlin back then. You always were kinda uncomfortable with the reminder of them, Weimar's fate staying stuck in your mind...

(Y/N) Pov, 17**, Prussia's palace.
-"So... I guess you met my successors since you were in the future?" Prussia asked you, raising an eyebrow. He was sitting comfortably on a sofa with a cup of tea in his hand. You looked at him curiously by the sudden topic change. You thought a bit before responding.
-"Yes, I guess I did... I met German Empire and his children." Prussia hummed, satisfied before sipping in his drink. He then looked back at you with a smile.
-"I am glad that my son is doing great in the future, even if his fate isn't so well." He frowned slightly before sighing slightly, he still kept a little smile. You guessed it was hard for him too to know the future.
-"Has he done anything else to you?" Prussia then asked, raising an eyebrow, you blinked, and your mind tried to think of an answer.
-"uhm..." How can I say this... You then looked back at him and tried to chuckle.
-"ah, uh... No, no he didn't! Of course. Haha." God, why couldn't you lie in front of this man?! Prussia sniggered at your attempt to lie, or to hide something, but he didn't push it over and pretended he believed it.
-"alright then... But, do you perhaps know what happens at least to Weimar Republic? I was reminded he lived shortly before his brother took upon the country, do you know why that is?" He asked you curiously, with a little upset face as well. He tried to seem unfazed but it was still hard knowing in advance your future family is going to die.
Your expression immediately darkened, you looked away. What could you tell? Prussia noticed your silence and sighed sadly. After a moment, you stood up, he looked at you curiously before you told him.
-"Stay there." You simply said, before walking away, ready to grab an object you now despised. You came back, and a hint of surprise appeared in his eyes when he saw you brought your sketchbook. You sit down and open the pages, before breathing out. It was just before the page where the blurry drawing of Weimar and Third Reich rested upon.
-"Hm, If I guess right it's the first time you show me this precious item completely." Prussia pointed out, as he looked at the sketchbook in your hands.
-"Why did you bring it?" He asked you, raising an eyebrow. You glanced at him before explaining.
-"I thought it would be easier to explain it to you this way. I'm sure you know what secrets this book holds." You told him and he nodded in confirmation. You then sighed and handed him over the book. Prussia looked surprised, but still held it tightly, like he was afraid of breaking the world if he let the book drop. He took a quick look at you before he flipped the page. His face darkened immediately as he looked at the picture down below, you frowned as you saw the drawing wasn't like when you and (B/F/N) last saw it, quite some time ago now... But, since he held the book close you couldn't really see the details of it.
-"How... saddening..." Prussia mumbles, his eyebrows furrowing as his look of surprise passes. He flipped another page and it just resulted in a further frown. His eyes went back to you.
-"Have you seen it entirely?" He asked, which confused you. When you and (B/F/N) saw it, it was just one blurry drawing, nothing else, even if the blur was kinda self-explanatory.
-"Uhm...no? What do you mean?" Seeing your confusion, Prussia gave the sketchbook back to you while pointing at some drawings. Your eyes widened in shock, and a chill shook you over. The drawing was no longer blurred, and it seems like there were an entire series of those! You felt like throwing up. The details, the violence... Everything was shown, like a cold display.
You breathed in shakily and fought to not get too emotional by just seeing pictures... Too realistic pictures still... You got quite attached to the little German boys. Seeing Weimar in such pain and Third Reich's maniacal face... You closed the book dryly, and looked down. It was the first time you saw it, and it just saddened you more.
A hand touching yours gets you out of your trance as you look back up at Prussia who smiled at you kindly.
-"Hey, no need to be so sad about it... After all, it didn't even happen and it's meant to happen. It's not one of the things you can change." He told you and pushed the sketchbook away, you didn't even glance at it. You kept looking at him, at his face... It was weird. He was the only one who could understand you. You didn't know how he knew everything he did, but you weren't going to complain. You were still a bit cold with (B/F/N), and a bit of comfort is welcome. He knows what you're going through, and he's also the only one who doesn't want to harm you.. A genuine smile went on your face.
-"Thank you... Prussia. It really means to me." You told him, and giggled a bit. He glanced at you for a few seconds before looking away, hiding his blush and pulling back his hand.
-"... No problem..." Prussia mumbles and you smirk slightly as you see he was trying to hide himself.
-"Hey what was that? Is that blush I see!" You teased him as you tried to look at his face while leaning over the couch, he just pushed your face while hiding his own.
-"No it's not!" His obvious lie made you laugh while you continued to tease him, Prussia just joined in the laugh shortly after. Soon both of you were laughing happily, an instant to hide from reality...
⊂((・End of Flashback・))⊃
-"Do you think they're dead?"
-"No I don't think so... There's only one way to see."
-"MISS/SIR (Y/N)!!!" You jumped in surprise and looked back at the two children in front of you.
-"Uhm what? Sorry what did you say?" Seeing your confusion West Germany grinned in relief to see you weren't dead, while East had still a blank face.
-"Why did you space out? It's so bad!!" West Germany whined out as he shook your arm, East nodded at his brother.
-"Yeah! Father said that a second of spacing out, is an infinite possibility for our enemies to kill us." East Germany declared firmly, crossing his arms while closing his eyes. West looked at him weirdly for a second before replying.
-"No, I meant it was bad because I was afraid they would be dead! I would be so sad!" West Germany exclaimed while waving his arms around, East Germany sighed at his brother's childish behaviour... Even though they were still kids. East seemed way more mature and serious than his brother... And more militaristic too.
-"You just met them! Don't be so worried about them!" East Germany told his brother, frowning slightly, West just pouted.
-"No! Father knew them, so I consider them already as my friend and family! It's just you don't trust Father to know where his real friends and traitors are!" West exclaimed as he stuck out his tongue to his brother. You blinked and decided to stay out of this and just leaned back on your seat, as you guessed another argument was starting.
-"It's not that! It's just you and I know how much people are loyal and friendly to our father but don't give a shit about respecting us!" East replied in anger and West Germany gasped, his hands on his mouth like he just witnessed the world crumbling.
-"You! You just said a bad word! How could you! Father said to not use them and be polite!" West Germany said, but was cut off by his brother.
-"Father this, father that... Get your mind out of the gutter a bit! Don't you dare become Father's puppet like everyone else in this country! I have at least a bit of brain to know where to draw the line! If you keep being oblivious to everything, you'll just be devastated when you'll find out all at once, and will not control how you speak to father!"
East Germany raised his voice in anger, and you noticed West Germany flinched. You frowned sadly as you watched their argument. They were both children and yet... This argument was very mature and dark. Moreover, you didn't know if you should interrupt or not. You've just met and you're still a stranger, it'd be wrong to interfere, and what East says is actually smart, but you also can't let him scream at his brother.
While they argued the rest of the officers entered the car and started it over, you were a bit upset since they just ignored the fight going on, their behaviour showing they were used to this. East just glared at his brother, even if you can tell his anger wasn't directed towards him. He then turned around to sit a few seats from you and West, not without adding.
-"Do you want to end up like Uncle Weimar?" He spoke coldly and sat down away from you two. You heard West Germany starting weeping, he was shaking slightly. Out of instinct you put a hand on his head since he was close to you and the little boy just hugged your side tightly before you could do anything else. You felt him crying in your shirt, and you just patted his back awkwardly.
-"He never went that far before..." You heard him mutter while still having his face buried in your side. You glanced at East Germany ahead of you, who was closed to the driver's seat than yours. You could see he had his head hanging low as well. Maybe he was also crying...
You sighed, as you caressed slightly West Germany's hair, while you looked at the outside which was moving very fast due to the car's speed. You could sense there were a lot of daddy issues in the air, so it only made you more thrilled at the thought of seeing Third Reich again. You didn't know how much time you were going to stay in that time period, but it was clear it was going to be hell.
'so wonderful.' You thought bitterly. 'The only thing that could make it better would be meeting again all the previous countries you went across...' You sighed internally. You still didn't know where was (B/F/N), and really you were worried. They were still stuck with Thirteen C- America you bet. But oh well, you were in WW2 now, it's not like you're gonna see him any time soon...
'Wait a damn minute...'

✧◝(Author's note)◜✧
Hi. 😁 Here is another chapter (3300 words), hope you guys are doing good, and I hope you'll like this chapter.
I always have trouble while writing since I see the number of chapters growing and I don't know whether you'll like if I speed it up a little or I continue being slow and all... (In the content, not the time of publication)
Just tell me in comments!
Also yes, I added a little time with Prussia because we all miss him. And surely it's great to add some details of what happened during the days we were with him, since I just did a timeskip. I think it's gonna be one of the few characters that (Y/N) is gonna love genuinely, since you know... He is one of the few who doesn't want to lock them up in a room all to himself. 😅
Anyway that's all, see you soon! (I hope)
