Chapitre 47

ᕦ[ ✿ ]ᕤ

(Y/N) Pov:

You breathed in sharply. Okay (Y/N), now was time to be careful on what you say...

-"America. Where is (B/F/N)." You asked  with all seriousness you could muster. You glanced at the time, it's been almost half an hour since you left Third Reich, you'll have to be careful. America huffed and let out a dry chuckle.

-"ah... You're lucky I miss you too much to be angry immediately. Don't worry, like I said, they're with me! Completely fine!" He told you from the other line, you also heard some shuffling as (B/F/N) seemingly backed away from him. They also were breathing heavily. Your gaze softened in concern. Were they okay? They sounded like they were hurt.

-"Are you sure? Can I talk to them please?" You asked in a more trembling tone of voice than you'd prefer, but you couldn't help it, you were just so worried about your only friend left. America didn't reply, you swear this guy surely enjoyed you sounding so afraid.

-"Hm... Why would I do that? I want to talk to you. Maybe if you asked some more I would give in~" You heard his little giggle and glared at the wall. You didn't have patience for his crap.

-"Do you really think I'd beg for you like that? Just pass the damn phone to (B/F/N)!" You lashed out, you were just so worried about (B/F/N), and angry at... almost everyone. Maybe you should ask someone if a therapist is available? You clearly need one right now. After making sure they wouldn't just spill all to Third Reich, something that is most likely going to happen.

-"Fine, fine! After all I can't really do anything to you right now... I'll just hope we meet in person soon~" America replied in his usual cocky tone before you heard the phone being handed over. Your breath was caught in your throat as you heard (B/F/N)'s weak voice.

-"(Y/N)?" They asked, a bit of worry and relief in their voice. They sounded so...tired. You frowned despite the immense joy that was spread into you from hearing them.

-(B/F/N)! Oh my god, I can't believe I can talk to you! I'm completely lost since we got separated! I swear I can't do it anymore!" You exclaimed, tears forming into your eyes, you hated the fact that America surely was listening to everything you said but you just wanted to talk to (B/F/N), so, you ignored him.

-"(Y/N)... (B/F/N) mumbled quietly. Are you completely safe?" They asked, in a voice so quiet and weak that it pulled at your heartstrings.

-"Yes... Yes I am... Or at least I think so..." You told them. For now, Third Reich didn't seem to want to hurt you or anything, even though you couldn't drop your guard. (B/F/N) just breathed in softly.

-"That's... great." They exhaled, you could feel that they were trying to smile, but your frown stayed on your face.

-"Yeah... What about...you?" You asked them hesitantly. Your voice was quivering with every word. (B/F/N) just chuckled slightly despite their tiredness.

-"Yeah... I'm good... Even though I long for a proper bed. But Mr.Oil Addict is too selfish to just spare one bed." They replied while trying to lighten up the mood. It was clear from their voice that they indeed didn't seem to sleep well. America's nickname made you snigger slightly despite your emotional state.

-"You know he can hear you...right?" You sigh with a smile, holding gently your phone. (B/F/N) giggled as they held their phone to their ear, throwing a glance at America who was staring at them down with crossed arms while he leaned on the wall. Anyone else would be frightened by the glare (B/F/N) could guess behind his sunglasses, but they were just too happy to hear you again to be intimidated.

-"Yeah... I know... but I couldn't careless. I'm glad you're fine... It's all I could ask for..." Their sweet words made you smile, even though you knew internally that it was unhealthy for them to only care about your safety. But their new question got your mind out of your thoughts.

-"Where are you... right now?" They asked. You had to focus on their words because they said it in a whisper. You quickly understood that they tried to get the answer without America listening. But their attempt was vain when (B/F/N)'s phone was suddenly grabbed and America's annoying (but attractive?) voice entered your ears again.

"I would want to know too! My dear, where are you? In time of war it's easy for me to travel across my allies' countries, and right now I have a lot of Allies!" America said with enthusiasm. You frowned a little. Now was time for you to think carefully. What was better? If you told America where you were, maybe he could help you get away from Third Reich and get out of Germany in general.

You could be with the Allies. However, America's obsession for you was far from comfortable, and you didn't know if you'd want to be in his grasp and most likely United Kingdom's too, since they're close allies. Of course, no one sane would willingly stay in Nazi Germany even though he didn't seem to want to hurt you...yet. But his obsession over you was undeniable. Why did everyone have to obsess over you? It's sickening.

So, in conclusion, you were trapped either way. Wonderful. But... I guess you'd still prefer to stay with familiar countries like the UK or America. Plus no one says that America will be able to help you out of Germany even if you told him your location. You breathed in, before telling him (with a small smile).

-"I'm glad you asked, America. I'm currently in Berlin, Germany obviously. Unfortunately, I don't think Third Reich is an ally where you can travel across the country to get me." You said with a bit of arrogance. You didn't really know why. Maybe it was for the slight satisfaction you felt when America fell silent for a few seconds, taking in the info you gave him.

-"You're... With Third Reich?" He asked, multiple emotions in his voice. You noticed jealousy, anger but also concern and worry. All of it mixed in a strange result. His tone of voice reminded you of the little Thirteen Colonies who you actually enjoyed the presence of. Your gaze softened a little despite you not wanting to. It just felt so long ago now.

-"Uhm... Yeah I am." You mumbled quietly, you had been a bit distracted from the nostalgic thoughts of your mind. Gosh, why couldn't you just live a normal countryhumans fic where it's all funny with them randomly appearing in your living room?

Now you had to stay here, stuck between the horrors of the war and the unhealthy obsessions of both sides. Nowhere was safe. You could trust no one with your secrets. Except maybe two people. But one was most likely trapped in America and the other surely dead. So yeah. Talk about support.

You frown. You shouldn't think like that, it could be way worse. For now, you're with Third Reich and he hasn't hurt you severely yet. Remember he could lock you in prison or even deport you in an actual camp! The mere thought of it made you shiver. How could it exist? Your frown deepened when you took in the fact that even though that was some kind of fictional world, there were still millions of people actually being deported.

-"I'm sure I can find a way to bring you back to me." America's voice made you focus back on the situation at hand. He sounded serious and was lost in thoughts of new plans to retrieve you.

-"What prison are you in?" He asked, making you blink. You glanced at the time. 45 minutes since you got out of Third Reich's office. They'll start wondering where you are if they haven't started to look for you already.

-"I'm not in prison." You said blankly, your voice was a bit rushed. "I'm in his main work place you could call it. I don't know the name. It's just very big and sumptuous. Third Reich didn't lock me up...I'd say he treats me like a guest." You replied, a bit embarrassed from telling him this. You didn't want him to think you sided with Third Reich.

America didn't reply for a second. He stood still, his lips closed. (B/F/N) looked up at him slightly in worry. They didn't hear what you said, but he didn't seem pleased. They backed away against the wall, trying to make their presence less known. (B/F/N) was still gripping their bleeding arm, letting out a quiet curse from not being to walk correctly, a reminder of America's gift on their right leg when he found them again.

For (B/F/N) they had just left him for a second between Thirteen Colonies and America while America waited more than 150 years to find the cause he lost his love. He was very... passionate and was surely going to kill (B/F/N) if he wasn't smart enough to guess they would tell a thing or two about you, so America spared them! After all, America always saw himself as a very merciful person.

-"Oh...a guest, you say? Wonderful... truly... Well, I won't brag on the fact he at least spared you... I'm actually very glad he has the same opinion that I have on how to treat you properly." The way his teeth gritted while forcing a joyful tone made you wince. I don't think it was your best idea to tell him that.

-"America..."

-"Oh, don't fret! I don't mind!" America laughed, cutting you off. It was clear from his voice that he did mind. You pursued your lips, nervous. You were yet again talking to a psychopath. Talking about change.

-"But I'm sure you're very uncomfortable staying with that sociopath and psychopath, aren't you? You'd be better off with me. I'll protect you. You know, since last time we met, I've changed a lot. I became the first international power. You'll be under my protection." America spoke in a honey-like voice, trying to persuade you. You frowned, looking away. How horrible it felt to know you're going to leave a danger for another, willingly, trying to find out which one's safer. His next sentence, however, threw you off guard.

-"And I wonder... Have you changed too, (Y/N)? I ask myself if you're as pretty as in my memories... It's been too long... I miss your laugh, your smile... But what I think I miss the most is your tears, your blood, your pained face and your eyes full of horror. Even more when it's directed towards me. Ah... Sometimes I dream of you, you know?~"

Okay we lost him. You carefully pulled away your phone from your ears, feeling that he's going to continue fantasizing about your pain for hours. Fortunately for you, you heard East Germany's voice from the corridor, calling out for you. Taking it as an excuse to hang up on him, you quickly turn off your phone and stand up. Wiping your dry tears with your sleeve, you walked out of the room you were in, making East Germany notice you.

-"Where were you?" He asked, a bit accusingly while crossing his arms. This kid seemed to always be in a bad mood. However his gaze softened a little when he saw your eyes red from crying but didn't make a comment about it.

-"Just walking around. I was trying to remember how to locate myself in all those corridors, I'm afraid Berlin's little tour wasn't enough... I have a short memory." You made up an excuse to which he didn't find anything to say. East simply shrugged.

-"Well, next time, be faster. I was playing with West when I had to look for you." East said, looking away with a little frown. He didn't like the fact his father asked him to look for you during the few times where East is free to be with his brother. Now, it's most likely Third Reich is with West Germany again, increasing the influence he had on East's twin brother.

-"What does your father want?" You asked, guessing it was Third Reich that told him to look for you. East shrugged.

-"Dunno, but maybe it has something to do with how you look like a peasant." He said abruptly before turning around, expecting you to follow him. You sweatdropped. Why was a kid so savage with you? Were you that bad? That's when you tried to remember when was the last time you actually showered. It was...far away in your memories. Okay, very far, you understood why he'd say that.

-"You could have said it a little nicer you know." You said, laughing a bit. Since he was just a kid you quickly caught back to him. East Germany glanced slightly at your happy face before looking down. He stayed silent all the way, a bit embarrassed and in awe of how you could still smile in your situation. Was this... because of him? That thought made him smile a bit but East quickly hid it. No! He just met you, he couldn't trust you. But maybe, just maybe he'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now.

In the meantime, you walked next to him calmly, even though your mind was full of questions and worries. But at least, you didn't have a problem with East. You didn't mind him and felt comfortable with him, even though in your own world you found yourself disliking kids.

Anyway, you were still a bit stressed out. Your previous interaction with America changed a lot of things for you. At least you knew where (B/F/N) was, despite them not sounding very well. America has now hold on some new technology. You were nervous on what he could potentially discover with (B/F/N)'s phone. (And also hoped for them to have deleted any cringe stuff they might have downloaded, or even photos of you in middle school).

On another hand, America now knows your location, for the best or the worst, you might have a chance to escape from here. You're like a bird in a golden cage currently. But if America thought of a chance to retrieve you, he must tell it to his allies. That means...

On cue, your phone got a notification. Fortunately East didn't notice, so you carefully tapped your phone and read the message on the Lockscreen. You pursued your lips as your mind anxiously thought of what could occur afterwards. You sigh and put the phone back in your pocket, hoping America won't start spamming you with texts now that he understood how to do it.

Still, the text he sent you filled you with apprehension, knowing that another piece is put on the chess board in this WW2 setting of both personal and political motives. You sighed out, and read the text in your mind once again. At least America was thoughtful enough to put an emoji.

America
-I'm sure UK will be delighted when I tell him where you are. It's been a long time, don't you think? (◠‿・)—☆

What an asshole.
