"Ya know what? Fuck it, you're right Rosé. How do I get started though?"

Rosé smiled at her best friend mischievously."Get out your phone and go to the App Store.

And that's how this whole story begins, with one innocent download of an app.

Which app you may ask?

It's called Tinder and I'm sure you've all heard of it. Rosé, who's been my best friend since pre-k, had me download it because I don't have enough 'excitement' in my life. She thinks I need to be more spontaneous and meet some guys, but I have never really minded being by myself. There's less to worry about or stress over that way, but I will admit that here lately I've been feeling lonely and could use some company.

We were both on my bed, setting up my profile, "You need a super cute but simple profile picture. Do you have any on your phone that is saved?" Rosé asked as I went to my album and scrolled to a photo I took just last week and clicked on it. "How about this one?"

She gasped while clapping her hands, "Perfect, you look adorable! Add that then we will start filling out the 'about me' section!"

I added the picture and began to fill out things about myself. Once the account was all finished, Rosé turned to me with a smile on her face, "Okay that's it! You can start using it right away. When you match with someone you can text/video call them and vise versa so you can have conversations. It's simple and if you don't like them, you can just move on to the next."

She got off the bed after explaining then gathered her belongings to head out for her recording session.

"What if I get confused or all choked up on my words... Who will be here to save my pathetic ass?"

She chuckled at my whiny behavior as she slung her bag over her shoulder, "Just send me a text or call me, I will be here for you. I really have to go so I'm not late, you know I'd rather stay here with you but duty calls babe."

I smiled softly, "I know and it's okay. Get out of here and I'll text you later."

"Okay! And you better tell me if you get a match and how it goes."

"Of course I will. Now go, I love you and be safe!"

She made her way to my bedroom door and as she turned the knob to leave she yelled over her shoulder, "Love you and make me proud babygirl!!!"

I let out a chuckle as the door slammed shut then sighed heavily, contemplating on exploring this app more or not. In the end, my curiosity got the best of me and I opened it up to find that I already had a match.

There were several guys from Korea that popped up and my eyes widen as I began swiping.

Lucas- age 23.

"Ehhh, he's hot but not for me..." *swipes left*

Kim Jung-Woo- age 24.

"He's a cutie, but again I'm just not feeling him either." *swipes left*

Kai- age 28.

"He looks too serious and not to mention he seems way out of my league." *swipes left*

"Damn, I guess I'm a lot pickier than I thought when it comes to guys." I said to myself as I ran my fingers through my hair.

I was about to close the app until I happened to look at my screen and there was a handsome guy that seemed interesting. I swiped right and after 2 minutes or so, my phone began to ring with an incoming video call.

I hurriedly checked myself in the mirror, quickly fixing my hair then calmly answered the call.

"Hello."

"Ummm, h-hi." I replied with a smile.

He smiled at my nervousness and broke the ice by introducing himself, "My name is Jackson and it's very nice to meet you."

"Hello Jackson, I am Jiyun and it's nice to meet you too."

"Are you new to this app as well?"

I giggled. "Yes my friend made me get it to spice my life up a bit. She's very persistent."

He chuckled, "I understand that. I usually don't do these types of things but I like to meet new people. I will warn you though.. I only talk for a few minutes and if I'm bored with you I will end the call and move on."

Damn Wtf? 180 much?

I replied. "Ummm, okay I guess?"

He started talking a lot about himself mostly and the more he talked, the more arrogant he became. I was not interested anymore not even in the slightest, so I decided to be boring on purpose so I didn't have to be the one to hang up first.

"Yeah that's awesome." I smiled at him and within the next minute you could have heard crickets chirping.

Fuck this is uncomfortable. I was determined to make him hang up though so I stuck to my role and owned that shit like a queen, sitting there in absolute silence before he sighed, "Well, this is probably one of the most boring calls I've ever been apart of. It was nice meeting you but I'm out, have a nice night."

And the call was over. He didn't even give me a chance to respond, but I didn't care. Truthfully, I just wanted out of the conversation and away from him.

I wasn't going to try anymore right now after that, but something was pulling me to try one more time. I swiped left on a few more guys not feeling them until I suddenly came to a profile that genuinely caught my attention.

Jeon Jungkook- age 25.

Oh my gosh.

I was left speechless and before I realized it, my finger swiped right matching us instantly.
