[Author's POV]

They were out of breath, hearts pounding rapidly as they continued to make out in the front seat.

Jiyun pulled away first after a few minutes, both trying to catch their breaths as they stared at one another.

Jungkook smiled at her and she happily returned it, running her hand through his soft and silky hair. "I really am sorry."

"Shhh, let's not talk about that. All I want you to do is promise me one simple thing.."

She listened to him attentively, waiting for him to continue.

"From now on, don't jump the gun and assume everything you hear is the truth. I am a very open person and will tell you if it is true or not, regardless of the outcome. So just come to me if you hear something, okay?"

"Okay. I promise I will."

He lifted his pinky up and cocked his eyebrow playfully. "Pink promise?"

She smiled and wrapped her pinky around his then gently pecked his lips. "Pinky promise."

A minute had past and the two got re-situated as they readied themselves to continue the drive back home, but Jiyun stopped him before he drove away to ask him one more question.

"Jungkook? What does all of this mean?"

"Well, I can't forgive you super easily... but I don't think I want to stay away from you either. Let's just take it one day at a time and see where it goes... is that okay with you?"

She smiled and pecked his cheek before replying. "Of course it is, I'll prove that you can trust me."

"And I will do the same with you."

With that, he put the car in drive and headed into the direction of Jiyun's apartment to drop her at home before returning to his own.

Time skip: 4 days later- Jiyun's Apartment

[Jiyun's POV]

I had just gotten back from a much needed night out with Rosé and was about to get into the shower when I received a text message from Jimin.

Jimin:
Hey sweetie.

Jiyun:
Hiii.
How are you?

Jimin:
I'm good. So, is it okay if I call you real fast?

Jiyun:
I was just about to get into the shower, so you caught me a bad time but sure go ahead. 😊

Jimin:
Okay.
Oh! And btw, are you still mad at Kook?

Jiyun;
Umm, why?

Jimin;
You'll see.

About that time, my phone started ringing with an incoming video call from Jimin. I quickly answered it and was shocked to see the faces that were on the other end staring back at me.

"Oh... Hi guys."

"Hey Jiyun. I hope you didn't mind that I called while they're both here, I missed you and wanted to hang with you too. I hope it's okay."

"Yeah, of-of course it is. How are you guys tonight?"

"Hey Noona! I am doing great. We were just about to play a game and wanted to know if you'd like to play with us." Taehyung said with a smile on his face.

I looked between all three of them and noticed Jungkook giving me a mischievous look as if he was telling me to do it. I half smiled and immediately agreed to play.

"Yay. Okay, so we are going to be playing TMI and the loser of rock, paper, scissors has to tell what their baggage is. We can continue until you all want to move on to another game or just want to quit in general." Taehyung explained as we nodded our heads.

"Okay.. Let's do it!"

We started off strong and everything was going great until it was Jungkook's turn to tell his TMI.

"Ohh Jungkook-ssi, tell us your TMI please." Taehyung said.

"Well, first off you know how I hate when I'm being lied to right?"

Jimin and Taehyung nodded as I watched in horror, fearing what he was going to say and do next.

"Good. Well, someone here has been lying on me and I need to clear the air so everyone can properly move on."

Taehyung was clueless as he continued agreeing with everything Jungkook was saying. Me on the other hand, I was getting more and more nervous as Jungkook was about to address the so called 'liar' among the four of us.

"Jimin-ssi, I first want to tell you that it was me who slept with your girlfriend and I do apologize for that."

My mouth hit the ground as I watched the scene begin to unravel in shock.

"Well thank you for telling me what I already knew, but why did you do it?" Jimin asked with his arms crossed over his chest.

"I didn't know you were even with her at the time. If I would have known you were dating, nothing would have happened and I can assure you of that."

Jimin rolled his eyes with a sigh, "Who came onto who first, Kook?"

"She came onto me and I didn't say no. I really am sorry and wanted to clear that up before going onto the next topic."

"I appreciate that. I know it was wrong but you didn't know.. I didn't tell anyone and that was partially my fault. Thank you for being honest." Jimin said as he shook hands with Jungkook.

"Yes absolutely... but now it's your turn to be honest."

Shit, here we fucking go.

"Why would you choose now to get back at me when that was almost 2 years ago?"

Jimin's eyebrows furrowed, "What do you mean?"

"I'm talking about you telling Jiyun that I'm a liar and fuck boy and that I am probably just doing the same thing to her..."

Jimin looked like he was going to shit himself as he stuttered around, trying to think of an explanation to tell Jungkook.

"I just want you to know that you are wrong about me and that I never want you to have my name in your mouth like that again. You only told her that to fuck me over because you knew how much I liked hanging out with her. You tried to get me back and honestly it's a load of bullshit how you did it."

Jimin again had no rebuttal and hung his head in shame, knowing that what he did was wrong.

"I almost lost her because of this stunt you pulled and you're lucky I don't take you outside and beat your fucking ass for it."

He started getting louder and more into Jimin's face. Thank god for our sweet Taehyung intervening or a full on brawl would have erupted right here on our little FaceTime session.

"Okay guys, break it up!" Taehyung yelled.

Jungkook was fuming with anger and if I'm being honest, it was so hot to see him in this state.. FOCUS JIYUN, now is not the time to let your hormones take over.

"Jungkook? Hey, look at me.." I said as he looked up at me with hurt filled eyes.

"It's all going to be okay now. I promise."

He seemed to relax more at my words and nodded his head as I smiled, but my smile quickly fell when I saw Jimin staring at me.

"And you. How dare you use my feelings to get back at him. I told you things and you're supposed to be one of my best friends Jimin, I honestly can't believe you would lie to me like that."

Jimin started whining, "I'm so sorry Jiyun. That was what I hated most about the whole thing, I hurt you in the process of getting back at Kook. Can you ever forgive me?"

"Honestly? I'm not sure. You have damaged my trust for you and you know me well enough to know that it'll take some serious ass kissing from you to be back in my good graces."

He sighed heavily, knowing the damage he has caused between us all, "I know."

"Well, this has officially drained me. I'm going to go take my shower and head to bed. You 3 behave and Taehyung please keep an eye on the two of them for me."

He smiled sweetly, "Always Noona."

I smiled at him, "Thank you sweetie and you guys have a good night. Don't let this ruin it, okay? All of us just need to move the fuck on from it anyways."

They all nodded with smiles on their faces and I finished saying my goodbyes and ended the call. When I got up to head to the bathroom, I received a text message from Jungkook.

Jungkook:
Hey beautiful.
I'll talk to you tomorrow, and when I do I'd like to come over and see you in person if that's okay. I'll buy us some take out and we can have a chill day there at your place. You up for that?

Jiyun:
As I've said before, you're always welcome here and I'd love that.
What time would you be coming by?

Jungkook:
Whenever you'd like, just send me a time and I'll be sure to be there. 😉

I smiled down at my phone then laid it on the sink before stepping into the shower.

As I showered I couldn't help but think about how my life has gone back to being somewhat normal again in just a matter of days and I am hoping like hell that it stays this way.

I dodged a bullet this time and I am going to enjoy the most of it while it lasts.
