Where Has Death Gone?

~~💔~~

Failure.

Geno sighed, laying somewhere in the void.

The sans had betrayed him.

He refused. They fought. The sans got away.

Geno nuzzled his skull into his palms. When will he get it right? What does he have to do to convince the other?

Beg?
Tell a Sob Story?

THREATEN

Geno growled, summoning a dripping bone and slamming it into something.

"Geez, if you wanted me to leave, I'll go."

Geno tilted his head upward to look at the smiling god. "What do you want, Reaper." Geno growled.

The other landed next to Geno, lying next to him. "Well, I wanted to visit you. Duh."

"Not in the mood."

Reaper rolled over so he faced Geno. "Your mood won't stop me from seeing you, dum-dum." Reaper poked Geno's face. Geno groaned, swatting Reaper's hand away and covering his face with his hands.
"What's bugging you?"

"You."

Reaper sighed. "What else is bothering you?"

"Gee, I don't know, THE GAPING SLASH IN MY CHEST MAYBE."
They both shared a small laugh.

"Alright,  I know you're bleeding and stuff, I get it. Seriously though, what's eating you?"

Geno tossed over so he wasn't facing Reaper's stupid face. "It's nothing."

"Well, it's definitely something then." Reaper proceeded to fly so he was facing Geno.
"C'mon. Is this about your 'plan' that you don't tell me about?"

Reluctantly, Geno slowly nodded.

"I KNEW IT. I'M SO SMART." Reaper exclaimed, pride in his words.

"Suuuuure. You're Sooooo smart."

"I AM THOUGH!"

They laughed once again. After some puns, they both settled down and sat together.

"So. I've noticed that we've only talked about my problems. What about yours?" The response Geno received was a flinch, followed by cold silence.

Now, it was Reaper's turn to push Geno away. "Oh, I really have no problems at all."

"Really? 'cause that flinch said otherwise."

Drops of sweat bled from Reaper's skull. "It's nothing."

"OH, SO YOU GET TO SAY IT'S NOTHING, BUT I DON'T?!" Geno huffed, trying to catch Reaper. However, He was drifting away  from Geno.
"C'MERE, YOU PIECE OF SH-"

Reaper placed a finger across Geno's mouth. "No cussing, darling~."

Geno furrowed his 'eyebrows'. "Darling? DARLING?!"

Reaper howled with laughter as he flew just out of Geno's angered reach. It was a cute sight to behold.  Geno was flailing his arms at Reaper, sometimes even jumping, to try to catch the mocking god.
"I'LL KILL YOU WHEN I GET CHOO."

"IN YOUR DREAMS, CUTIE~!"

Geno grew irritated. "COME HERE REAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!"

~~✨~~

The god had searched and searched, but he could not find him.

"Gaster! Did you find him?" The god of war, Undyne, had hurriedly asked.

"...☠︎⚐︎."

Undyne snarled, plunging her fist into a nearby wall. Various cracks erupted from the blow, some chunks of the wall crumbling off. "DAMN IT! WHERE IS HE?!?! HOW COULD HE JUST...VANISH?!" She roared, sprinting down the corridor.

The god of magic, Gaster, gazed at the cracks for a few moment longer, before following Undyne towards the throne room.

~~~
"Is everyone here?" Asgore slowly bellowed, looking among the various gods and goddesses.
"All but two sir." Gerson croaked.
Asgore nodded in acknowledgement. "I see. Life and Death, correct?"
Gerson nodded. "We all know that Life had left previously...but Death is no where to be found."
"No where?" Alphys squeaked, looking around.
"Yes. I looked everywhere." Undyne hissed.
"Without Death, the balance will be lost." Asgore stated, silencing the confused and angered beings. "Without the second Death, we have to rely on Death to do his job."
Gaster was silent, watching the court discuss the fate of his creation.
Where could Sans be?
Suddenly, a vortex appeared at the entrance of the room, engulfing all possible light. This drew the attention of everyone except the god of magic, for he knew who it was. After the darkness dispersed, the smiling god of death appeared.
"Heya everyone." Death greeted.
Gaster stared at Death, noticing something.
He seemed a lot more...happy...jovial even.
He hasn't been this positive since the times when Papyrus was still alive.
"SANS!" The raged shriek was followed by the angered Undyne. "WHERE WERE YOU?! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE REAPING THE DYING SOULS OF THE MORTALS!"
Sans' smile strained. "I was napping."
Undyne nearly threw Sans into a wall. "NAPPING? NAPPING??? IF YOU WERE NAPPING, THEN-"
"THAT IS ENOUGH, UNDYNE!" Asgore boomed.
Undyne silenced, but still gaze Sans an icy cold glare.
"Sans."
The reaper glanced up at the king, his expression unchanging.
"I have been informed that you have simply vanished from existence, then you come back unscathed in any way." It felt as if Asgore's gaze pierced through Sans.
"Where were you?"
Sans couldn't lie to the king unless if he wanted to be speared through the chest. He had to be sneaky with this. "...Working."
Undyne sputtered a forced laugh, but Asgore silenced her once again. "Working? But you just said-"
"Yeah, yeah. I worked, and once I was done, I napped." Sans interrupted, forming his usual lazy grin.
For a few long moments, Asgore and Sans just stared at each other, The king's gaze full of authority and Sans' lazy yet holding a glimpse of defiance.
Then, Asgore sighed. "Very well. However, if you are keep disappearing, I am not afraid to assign Undyne and Gaster to watch you."
Sans' eye lights shrank.
"Remember...you are the only reaper we have left. We need you to uphold the balance since Papyrus is-"
"DON'T SAY IT.
The room fell silent as Sans' eyes were void black, the anger radiating from him.
"DON'T YOU DARE SAY HIS NAME." Sans shouted.
Gaster approached him. "💧︎✌︎☠︎💧︎📪︎ ✡︎⚐︎🕆︎ ☠︎☜︎☜︎👎︎ ❄︎⚐︎ 👍︎✌︎☹︎💣︎ 👎︎⚐︎🕈︎☠︎📫︎"
"NO, I WON'T. I AM FINE IF I HAVE TO DO OVERTIME, I AM FINE IF I EVEN HAVE TO STOP NAPPING, BUT THAT BASTARD WON'T SAY HIS NAME. NOT AFTER THAT...
Asgore stared down at Sans, his expression straight. The gods and goddesses watched in hush silence.
"💧︎✌︎☠︎💧︎📫︎" Before Gaster could say anything, Sans teleported away. The room was plagued with silence. Everyone had dark faces, none daring to stop the silence.
"...we had to..." Alphys mumbled, feeling guilt grip her own soul.
"...Let's continue with the meeting." Asgore stated, everyone agreeing.
Gaster looked at the place where Sans once stood.
If only his creation understood...
