Like mother like daughter. That was a phrase Ivy Soto had grown used to hearing.

At first, it was used to compare her to her stepmother, LeeAnne. Sweet LeeAnne who didn't have a mean bone in her body. She'd been around since Ivy was born, raising her even after the death of her father, so everyone just assumed they were blood related.

      They didn't know that where LeeAnne's blood was supposed to be running through her veins, there was ichor.

Then, the phrase was used against her the mere age of eleven years old.

After her claiming, she'd gotten into a argument with one of the senior counselors, Luke Castellan. A eleven year old probably shouldn't have intimidated a sixteen year old, but Ivy could be quite mean when she wanted to be.

She'd been compared to her mother hundreds of times, but never in a negative connotation. She was compared the goddess's kindness, her eyes, her beauty, but never her temper.

Ivy didn't want people to be afraid of her, but she didn't want to be disrespected either. She didn't want the glory or anything that came with being a hero. She just wanted to live a normal life with her normal friends. She didn't want to be different.

She just wanted to fit in. And so did Percy Jackson.

Rewrite finally up!! I'm so happy with how the synopsis turned out this time omg. Not much of this story has changed, it's mainly all the same I just made her personality a bit more different and her dad isn't alive as he was originally. Her stepmoms an angel though trust!!

One more thing: I did age them up, instead of being 12 in the fourth book they're 14 during the lightning thief. Did this because I no longer wanted to use Ariana greenblatt and Walker as faceclaims and the ones I'm using definitely cannot pass for 12 year olds 😭😭😭
