Hello, Lovelies,

I know I'm it close but I am one chapter and an epilogue away from reaching my 50K.  I will do that tonight. So, expect another update.

Thank you so much for sticking with me on this story.  It is very rough but I will edit it. If you like this chapter let me know.  Voting and comments are a good way.  I adore you all.

April 2, 1969

I could feel the cold seeping through the floorboards as my father stomped through the room. His eyes settled on me and my brother, his lips curling in disgust. I pulled Nicky closer to my body, trying to protect him from my father's fists.

"Say good-bye to your brother," he said, his voice sharp.

"W-What?" I asked, gripping onto him harder than before afraid of what that good-bye would mean.

"He's going to a home," he said, his lip curling.

"I want to go with him," I said, my heart pounding in my chest.

My father's eyes narrowed, "You can't," he said, taking a step toward me, "Once they saw you, we would go to jail and I don't want to go to jail. Besides, when you're older, you'll make money for us. This little piece of shit won't."

I winced afraid of what those words meant. Nicky started to cry as he clung to me. My heart ached as I hoped wherever he would go would be better than here. I kissed his forehead as tears fell down my cheeks, "I love you, Nicky."

As soon as I did, he was ripped away from me. His screams echoed through the house until it was silent. I curled up on the floor, sobbing as I closed my eyes, hoping that he would find nice people. At least he was away from our parents. At least he was away from these monsters.

November 10, 1982

Vegas was even brighter than L.A. Everywhere I turned my eyes there was something to see and yet, all that mattered was that I would be married to Tommy by the end of the day.

Megan wouldn't let me see him, forcing me to sleep in her room because it was bad luck. I always thought bad luck happened when I was away from him but she swore by this superstition. There were no bachelor or bachelorette parties for fear that the press would find out but I was able to buy a simple white dress.

As we stood in front of the chapel, I smiled noticing Micah waiting out front. His grin spread across his face as we approached.

"You look beautiful, Liza Bell," he said, turning to Megan, "And so do you, Megan Doll."

Both Megan and I blushed as we both muttered thank you. He grinned, "Now, Liza Doll," he said, giving me his arm, "I hope you didn't think we were going to make you walk down the aisle alone, did you?"

I frowned, "But I thought you were his best man," I protested, "You should be up there with him."

"Liza, he thought this was more important," he said, grinning, "And as the first of our band to welcome you into our family, I wanted to."

"Thank you, Micah," I said as we stood in front of the chapel doors.

"Please say Elvis isn't officiating over the wedding," Megan said, curling her lip.

Micah chuckled, "The king is not in the building."

"Good," She said, flashing a grin as a soft lilting melody echoed through the door. She kissed my cheek and then, walked through the door.

"Are you ready?" Micah asked, his brows raised.

"More than ready," I said, my lips twitching as the door opened. My gaze immediately found Tommy's and beside him stood my brother, Nicky. His blond hair was combed back from his face and he was dressed in a suit. Beside him stood James and Zac dressed much the same. Mrs. Jones was sitting in the front row as was Gail, Mrs. Morris and Officer Thomas. Jax, Dave and Kevin were on the opposite side of the room on the groom's side.

The preacher was a short, rotund man with a pleasant smile, who stood behind the podium draped in white. His smile was welcoming as I stood beside Tommy.

"You look beautiful," he said, his smile tender.

"You brought everyone here," I said, my eyes shining with tears.

"They are our family," Tommy said, his lips twitching, "I thought they deserved to be here."

"Thank you," I said, giving my little brother a smile.

"Are we ready to begin?" The preacher asked.

Tommy looked at me and raised his brow, "I'm ready when you are," I said.

"That would have been months ago," he said, then nodded toward the preacher, "Let's do it."

"It is an honor to have everyone here to support this beautiful couple as they join their lives together in holy matrimony," he said, grinning, "And though we do the ceremonies short and sweet, that doesn't take away the importance of this union. The rings?"

He turned to Tommy as Micah handed my ring to him, "Do you promise to love, honor and cherish her for the rest of your lives through every joy and every hardship?"

"And everything else," Tommy said, grinning as he slipped the ring on my finger.

The preacher turned to me as Megan gave me the ring for Tommy, "Do you promise to love, honor and cherish him for the rest of your lives through every joy and every hardship?"

"Absolutely," I said, grinning as I slipped his ring on his finger.

"Kiss your bride, Mr. Slasor," he said as Tommy pulled me into his arms. His lips met mine as applause broke through the chapel.

"I love you, Mrs. Slasor," he said, against my lips.

"I love you, Mr. Slasor," I said, as he kissed me again.

"Save some for the honeymoon!" Jax yelled out.

I laughed when Micah slapped the back of Jax's head, "Minors," he said, gaining a smile from Mrs. Jones.

"I see you still haven't learned to censor yourself, Jax," she said, raising her brow.

Jax blushed, "Sorry, Mrs. Jones."

I looked at Tommy, "This is our family," I said, my eyes shining with happiness.

His eyes sparkled as he nodded, glancing around the room at each person within it, "You're right. This is our family."

He pulled me close to him, wrapping me in the love and safety I had craved my whole life but had only found with him.

We sat around the table at a restaurant that overlooked the lights of Las Vegas. Nicky, James and Zac grinned as they glanced out the window in awe of the town.

"How long until they can come live with us?" I asked, taking in their excited faces.

"Your tour ends in two weeks," Mrs. Jones said, smiling, "Usually the paperwork is much slower but since you are known and financially capable as well as the advanced age of the boys, we can push it through so they can join you a week or two after you return home."

Tommy gripped my hand beneath the table, "I have one more surprise," he said, nodding toward Micah who brought him a folder, "My grandparents house is not going to accommodate our growing family. So, I bought a house for us and the boys and I'm letting the band stay at my grandparents."

He opened the folder, showing me pictures of a large sprawling home with lush gardens and an inground pool. Though I was sad leaving his grandparent's house behind, I knew this would be our home.

"How many bedrooms?" I asked, raising my brow.

"Seven," He said, glancing at the boys, "They'll have their own rooms and there is space for them to practice their music as well as our own."

"Sounds perfect," I said, shifting through the pictures until I came to one of a room perfect for the nursery. My fingers glided over the smooth surface of the picture.

"I thought that could be the baby's room," he said, softly, "It's next to the master."

"I love it," I whispered and then, smiled, "When did you get these?"

"I called a realtor the day we found you," he said, biting his bottom lip, "I knew living in the house with the band would be hard with a baby and I wasn't willing to live anywhere else. Also, Officer Thomas told me he knew where Nicky was that same day so I knew I wanted to give him a place to live also too."

"So, you worked hard to make sure my dreams came true before you knew that I would say yes to marriage?" I asked, my heart melting.

"I had high hopes," he said, smirking, "But even if you hadn't said yes, I would have done everything to make sure you would be happy. Besides, I would have asked you to marry me every day until you said yes."

I shook my head and looped my arms around his neck, "I love you, Tommy," I said, "More than I did yesterday...More by the minute."

"Good," he said, chuckling, "I would hate to be alone in those growing feelings."

I laid my head on his shoulder knowing that Tommy would always be my safe place.
