John's dad lowers the trident.

The helmetless knight walks over to John's dad.

Alanus: "What is going on here? Why do you refuse to execute your prisoner?"

Dad: "I'm sorry Captain Alanus. I can't strike down this villager. She looks to be the same age as my child. It doesn't feel right."
