A Treasured Memory (@Spencer_Paton)
A Treasured Memory
I curled my fingers in refrain,
The memory of her back again,
And with a sigh,
I went away,
To that place they call a place,
Where still lives that day.
What I would give to re-live that time,
How much my heart to pour,
The love which was lost that day,
The love I once adored.
A rainbow stretched across the sky,
A symbol from above,
The beauty all about me,
Hinting of our love.
And all for naught the memories seem,
In dreams alone my hope is real,
And so with notes I am rhyming,
To piano's soothing touch I go.
