I woke up with the outer corner of my eyes red and sore I went to get up and get dressed

(Changed into this btw )

( ik it's not realistic for the nails to be different every day but its cute)

I went downstairs and ate some Waffles I found in the back of the freezer

It was 5:30 am so I had a little time I heard Ricky come downstairs

" hey " the curly haired boy said

" hey ...someone's in a good mood " I said noticing the difference in his step

" ya have to be when your gunna audition for a musical" ricky said

" what?? I thought you hated musicals " I said sharply

" that was the *old* me .the new Ricky loves musicals "

" no you dont and you've never ever watched hsm fully at least"

" that's why I'm gunna watch it in the computer lab right b4 the tryout "

"Audition " I corrected my stupid brother "and besides this ISNT gunna win back nini " I snapped

" whatever...we gotta go " Ricky said running towards the door

"People make sure your audition numbers are COMPLETELY visible on your clothes this isnt a game" carlos says handing a clip board to natalie

I see nini sitting down getting ready next to ej

"Hey guys ya ready to getcha head in the game " I say walking up to them

"Yes and that was very corny" nini says

"Anyways your gunna nail this audition nini besides theres no competition here " ej says looking back to me "no offense "

" oh none taken I'm going out for kelsey " I say fixing my number on my shirt

" oh speaking of competition um Ricky may or may not be auditioning " I say in I slightly high pitched voice

" what " ej and nini say in unison

"Wait how do you even know this " ej says

" did you forget who my brother is ?"

" wait he's your brother?"

" uh yeah" ej was about to say somthing else when our new drama teacher mrs jenn walked into the room

"Ok theater people let's do this " she says walking into the auditorium

As soon as we get there carlos separated our groups and started giving everyone choreo

Still no sign of Ricky .that's a good thing ...right?

" yess cmon 1" carlos says

My eyes automatically turn to..... gina? Wait I didnt know she did theater this is great I already made a new theatere freind

I look at nini , nini looks at ej in awe

" great that's it for the warmup " carlos says

" the warm up ?" I say trying to not freak the ef out

" that was the warm up?" nini says

" everyone pair up ,not with a freind theater is a community " mrs jen said

Nini had just paired up with gina .... ok who am I not freinds with thats here ... ej has no partner I'm definitely not his freind

" ej looks like you have no partner and you're the only one I'm not freinds with here soooo"

"Fine but no sabotaging me " ej says putting his hand in his pocket

" like I need to do that" we walk back out onto the stage

Skip forward about fifteen minutes and a few stepped on toes mrs jen is now handing out scripts

" give him the troy stuff who are we kidding " mrs jen says to carlos

"And how about for you too kelsy" I take my script and look at nini as to say dont hold yourself back

"um Gabriella I want to audition for Gabriella"
Nini says as mrs jen hands her the script

" your reading for Ryan right " mrs jen says flipping through all the scripts

" I think he'd rather play sharpay " carlos says correcting mrs jen

" how fresh"

Evryone starts sitting down on the stage floor as mrs jen calls up names

" ooo our last troy and he comes with props" mrs jen says as ej play throws the ball trying to be cool

" whenever your ready hun "

Ej starts singing, hes ok I guess. heard it b4 tho .
still no sign of ricky....

"Armon hammer called he wants his jawline back..... ok, where starting on Gabriellas" mrs jen says starting up an akward silence

"Gina ok your up "

Gina starts singing and wow shes got some voice . Update on ricky I dont think hes coming

A few others went after gina

" ok nini whenever your ready " mrs jen says

Nini about to take a breath looks over at the auditorium door wich had just opened and in came my very own brother ...guess i was wrong and he was late

" am I too late am I too late" ricky says running with his guitar in hand

"We are all set on Troy's but we are low on Chad's " mrs jen spoke

" I only studied the troy scenes " ricky says dramatically

" troy would have arrived on time " carlos said

" ok nini let's try again "

" you got this babe whooooooo" ej screamed

I rolled my eyes and scooted farther away from him

" ok whenever your ready " mrs jen says spilling coffee on the electrical box

The lights shut off and evryone looks at each other

" ok no one panic ...let's wait for the lights to come on i dont want this to throw you "

" I'm not thrown" nini spoke with more confidence than usual

Me and ej look at each other confused then nini starts singing

Ricky turns on his flashlight pointing it at nini is this his plan to get back nini real smooth ... ej then stood up .
...wait is he intimidated by him my scrawny brother well this is weird

Nini stops singing and the lights turn on

" great job nini " said mrs jen

" ok new late boy let's try for the Chad stuff"

Ricky heads to the middle of the stage as big red comes up the stairs

Ricky starts reading the lines very stiffly

" I dont get it troy what kind of spell is this elevated IQ temptress girl cast that suddenly makes you want to be in a musical " ricky crumples up his paper ...I guess he does improve now" idk mabye it's the way Gabriella always had your back... and mabye you cant stop beating yourself up for totally blowing it...and look troy even if you've ed never said the *L word* to Gabriella cause that's not even a word your parents say to each other ...anymore that doesn't mean that you dont" ....

I would like to say that I'm annoyed but I'm not now I'm in the middle of looking at my script not being able to focus bc now your thinking about your parents mayb e getting divorced .... but that's not what I'm here for ...i wiped my tears away from my face and looked back up at my brother

Oh just great he prepared his own song.... wait his own song I know he sings but write music ....ok then I guess well see

" so much has happened think we've done " Ricky starts playing a familiar song ....

" nini isnt this your song ?" I say trying to get her attention

"Yup" she says as ej removes his hand from ninis shoulder

" I'm sorry about him ..really" I say

She nods and turns back to ricky

Ricky finishes singing and everyone starts clapping

. After he finished it was time for me to shine ......

I walk to the middle of the stage

" ok whenever your ready "

I clear my throat " if you want to rehearse, I'm usually in the music room during free period and after school.... and sometimes even during biology class.or if its easier, I can give you a wakeup call and come over with my accordion...its mobile" after I finish my lines the music starts up

This could be the start of something new it feels so right to be here with you ooo and now looking in your eyes I feel in my heart the start of something new . As evryone finished up I had to leave early to definitely not go beat the crap out of my brother

Run up into the hall but it seems someone already beat me to him ( I mean nini)

" we got kicked out of the greatest showman because you kept yelling thats not realistic at the screen" nini sternly talked to ricky

" yea .. and dont think your off the hook "I chased after big red

"What were you thinking letting him do this" I say

" hey I tried talking him out of it "

" fine your good this time"

" see you at my house later today?" He says walking away

I nod as everyone runs behind Carlos

" make way for the cast list " carlos tapes the cast list up on a window

" omg nini you got it I'm so happy for you " I hug her with the tightest of arms

A smile drawn across her face

"Chad .. she thinks I'm a chad" ej says sounding suprised

I try not to laugh as best as I can but then I look back at the cast list to see who DID get troy

" no way...." ricky is gunna be troy this is a nightmare

What a show ppl ... well I'm sorry thos took so long school is starting this week so I have alot on my plate bit I really hope you liked this chapter
