To you, he was the devil. Literally. He was the devil. Not even metaphorically speaking, he was the fallen angel that went against God thus sending him into hell at the beginning of time itself. He was cruel, horrifying, and deviant. He was everything you wished he wouldn't be, and that made him all the more intriguing.
But that had nothing to do with you, or so you thought. In term of cliche, you had gotten into a freak accident. One that not only took your confidence, but your memories as well. Too bad he didn't forget. How could he? You sold your soul to him, and for what? A child? You had lost that too. His child, more specifically. You didn't know it, but you had been carrying the child of the devil. The antichrist. You hadn't come to specific terms in the contract, but you wanted nothing more than to beat your infertility, and he was lustful. None of that mattered now, for after the accident you lost your memories, and he lost what was his first real love.
"I can't believe this." Mark exclaimed as he grasped at the arm rests on his throne, the everlasting fire from the depths of which he dwelt burned in front of him, the brightness reflecting in his eyes.
"Mark...calm down." Jackson said with obvious hesitation. Mark stood up almost immediately and turned to look at him, his face and breathing evidence of how angry he truly was.
"I won't. How could this happen?! Everything was fine, but then she had to go out into the road with looking both ways! She lost him! My child! This is not okay." Mark said strongly as he walked quickly away from his throne, Jackson hot on his trail.
"It was an accident Mark, you know she didn't do it on purpose. Until now, she's been so careful with the baby." Jackson said, mainly hoping to stop Mark from doing anything reckless. "You're more worried about her than anything else, right?" Jackson said with a smirk on his face. Mark looked back at him in surprise and annoyance.
"I wouldn't be so foolish as to fall in love with a mortal." Mark replied, playing him off.
"And yet, you have." Jackson smiled innocently at him. Mark starred at him for a solid minute before sighing in defeat.
"Tell me honestly, what do I look like to you?" Mark asked. Jackson chuckled and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Mark, you're the devil, but that doesn't mean you don't have feelings. After all, you were once an angel." Jackson said in a matter-of-fact tone. Mark nodded his head and turned away from him, the screams of the damned distant as your face appeared in his mind. Your innocent smile, your moans from that fateful night lingering in his brain, and your honest personality making him feel things he wouldn't dare feel for anyone else.
"I have to go see her." Mark said before transforming into his human step, creating a door to Earth, quickly stepping inside.
"The devil, a romantic. Who would've thought?" Jackson asked before transforming himself and following Mark.
<Time Skip brought to you by Rika who?>
"Mmm...urg..." You grunted as your eyes opened slowly, a white plain ceiling greeting you as cold air filled your lungs. Not noticing the man standing by the window, you sat up and noticed the multiple stitches and wounds all over your body.
"What...happened?" You whispered to yourself.
"You were hit by a car." A strong yet sweet voice replied. You turned your head to see a tall, red-tint haired man looking out the window.
"Who are you?" You asked as he turned around. His red eyes startled you as he walked closer, his handsome features not fooling you for a second.
"You don't remember me? That's hard to believe." He said, his eyes flashing. You suddenly gasped as you felt an intense pleasure flow through your body. You quickly scrambled out of your bed and as far away from him as possible.
"What was that?! WHO ARE YOU?!" You screamed. He rolled his eyes and walked closer to you, cornering you. He suddenly placed your hand in his and closed his eyes. You stood confused but soon went into a dream like trance, your eyebrows furrowing as you looked at the scene before you. Surely enough, it was you. With him. You blushed at the scene before you, your body erotically entangled with his, your body doing things you never knew it could before.
You were suddenly pulled back to reality, where you breathed heavily. Looking up at him, you remembered bits and pieces of who he was from the scene he had showed you.
"I...you..." You tried to form a complete sentence but failed.
"Yes, you now remember who I am and who you are to me." Mark replied, pulling you towards your hospital bed. You immediately pulled back.
"What do you think you're doing?! Just because we've done it before doesn't mean I want to do it again!" You shouted at him, his monotone expression not changing a bit.
"Don't be ridiculous. I wouldn't fuck you here. There's a time and place for everything." He said the last part with a smirk. You scoffed and glared at him as he grabbed your bed sheet and pulled it over you. He then sat on the edge of your bed and sighed while looking at the floor. You held the cover up to your nose, curiously looking at him. You looked over his intimidating presence, and looked at what you really saw before you. A man hurting. Well, devil hurting.
"What's wrong?" You asked, then covered your mouth with your hands. Mark looked back at your with an almost vulnerable expression.
"I look pathetic, I know." Mark said, quickly collecting himself and standing up.
"No...I think you look lonely." You said quietly.
"Yeah I'm the devil that's my forte nice to meet you." He said quite sarcastically. You rolled your eyes and continued to push on the issue.
"Why are you even here? Do we have something to discuss?" You asked honestly. Mark looked back at you, his hard expression faltering while starring into your eyes.
"You may not believe this, but a while ago, you sold your soul to me. You wanted a child, and I gave you one. My child. However, you were hit by a car, thus losing the baby." He said in a quiet voice. You looked down at your stomach and placed your hand over it, imagining what could have been. You imagined the life leaving its helpless, tiny body. Your eyes were no longer as dry as they were before. Tears streamed like never before, your wails were louder than the souls in hell. Mark looked at you for a bit, in both disbelief and pity. He moved closer to you and grabbed your arm, softly pulling you into an embrace.
"I'm sorry. It seems I have caused you great loss." Mark said before quickly releasing you and standing up to leave.
"I will return your soul to you, so...don't worry and live your life to the fullest." He said before moving to walk out the door. You quickly acted on impulse and grabbed onto the sleeve of his suit. He stopped and looked down at your hand, before looking up at you. Your face held several emotions that made his heart quiver. Innocence, longing, and disparity, but there was also something else that he couldn't quite put into words.
"Please don't...go." You said pleadingly. Mark slowly came back to your bed and put a hand on your head.
"(F/N), you don't understand what it is you are asking me. I'm the devil. You will find no happiness keeping me around." He said in an almost whisper. You shook your head and brought your face closer to his.
"You gave me happiness once, I believe you can do it again. Devil or not, I don't believe you would stick around this long for just anyone." You said as you placed your hand on his cheek.
"Don't get too cocky, but...I have failed to avoid feelings this time around." Mark said sheepishly, avoiding saying exactly what you wanted to hear. After all, why did you want to hear him say it? That he loved you. You only knew him from what you seen and heard in the last few minutes. So why?
"Are you certain?" Mark asked, his eyes holding a certain spark. One you recalled seeing in your trance. You starred into his eyes and nodded earnestly. He waited not a second longer before smashing his lips into yours. It was as if he was an animal that had gone without water for too long, and you were an oasis that he was ecstatic to devour.
"This time...I won't lose them." You said in between kisses. He looked up at you in slight confusion. You took his hand in yours and placed it on your stomach. Mark sighed in admiration and unexpectedly hugged you tightly.
"Again, the devil a romantic, who would've thought?" Jackson said from the corner of the room, a smile on his face nonetheless.
