Yoimachi Touma was the eldest student in the Kaito unit, playing the role "older brother" to his group mates. Touma was the first one who was assigned to the Kaito unit, his traits and skills matching perfectly into play. His two other mates, Yano Kairi and Hayami Umika, were polar opposites compared to him, but something clicked-

It was like magic.

The three all wanted the same thing- they wanted to become a Sentai for their own personal reasons, and that was enough for their chemistry to spark. They were a team.

Touma sighed.

Today was evaluation day. One of the head professors, Professor Hikaru and his wife, Ozu Urara, who both were former students, were going to be assessing him and the Kaito unit as they will compete for Mahou Sentai's Collection. If they win, not only will his team have Magiranger's support, but they'll have a piece of their collection, which will benefit greatly on their way to graduating as a Sentai. Touma was chosen to be representative-

Well, not that he had a choice, as soon as they were deciding on who should represent the team, Kairi and Umika were out of the room in the speed of light.

As much as he wanted to turn Kairi into a bunny and place a spider onto Umika's head, he'd honestly do anything for his team, (they'd do the same for him, well, just not this one time apparently).

Preparing, he went over his lines.

He had to do this in order for him to protect his team, and his girlfriend, Aya.

That's one of the reasons on why he wanted to become a Lupin in the first place.

He wanted to be able to protect her.

Focused on practicing, Touma kept revising his lines. At some point, he peaked through the tall, blue curtains, watching as students from different units took their seats, ready to watch and support their friends's evaluations.

Only- two reserved seats were empty.

Where were Touma's group mates?

Where were Kairi and Umika?

Where were the people he needed most by his side?

He had ten more minutes before he had to present himself,

"Ah mou, those idiots-"

"Touma-ah!"

"Touma.."

Touma turned around, suddenly feeling bitter after finding out who the owners of the voices belonged to.

Touma faced two other seniors. They wore navy blue uniforms similar to of the police force, the tall young man's uniform had green linings as the young woman's uniform had pink linings.

"Sakuya, Tsukasa,"

What were they doing here?...

"We're here to support you Touma-kun, nothing else." Tsukasa spoke, wearing a blank expression on her face. Touma scoffed,

Why can't he believe them?

Oh right,

Because they betrayed him and the others.
