"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 4 o'clock." Midorima leaves it at that without any other action. No kisses, no hugs, no nothing.

You understand that Midorima could be a Tsundere sometimes, but it just feels like he doesn't even want to be in a relationship. Every time you spent time together, you felt like he would always give you short answers, call you mean names, or ignore your presence. Yet he's the one who accepted your feelings when you confessed.

"Ugh get it together, (First Name)..." You mentally slap yourself. You're finally going on a date with him tomorrow, so you attempt to feel some sort of excitement.

You received a text.

"(First Name)-chan! How did it go with Shin-chan?" The message was from Takao. You didn't know what to say, it went both ways; good and bad.

"Ugh... He's still not acting like a boyfriend should act. We have a date tomorrow, but I feel like giving up." You said honestly.

"NO! Don't give up yet! Why don't you try a different approach? Try dressing SEXY or CUTE ( ' ▽ ' )ﾉ I'm sure that will get his attention."

"Hmm.. Maybe it's worth a shot," you think to yourself. Usually, when you and Midorima hang out, you are in school uniforms. So you've decided to try and dress into something that would hopefully make him notice you.

-NEXT DAY-

You wake up early to work hard on your hair, makeup, and outfit. You pray that all this hard work will pay off.

You hear the doorbell ring.

You quickly spritz on some perfume and run to open the door.

Midorima's eyes widen, but he quickly goes back to his straight face. He sighs.

"Let's go, nanodayo." You follow beside him as you two walk to the movies.

"(First Name), what are you wearing..?" You blush because he actually notices your outfit.

"I-I thought I'd try something new, y'know a new style?" Total crap, you couldn't muster up a better excuse.

"Tch... You look ridiculous." His words tear you down. But you keep your emotions in and just smile in response.

"S-Sorry, I'll try to wear something nicer next time..." Your voice fails to hide the hint of sadness.

Once the both of you are inside the movie theater, the movie starts. You have always wanted to watch this new chick flick movie that was SURE to make people cry. And boy did it make you cry, your makeup ended up smearing.

"Quit crying you idiot, it's just a movie, nanodayo..." Midorima grumbles.

"I-it's just so sad, though." You wipe your tears with a tissue.

Couples were sitting in front of you who were making out or the boys comforting their girlfriends. But you and Midorima? Nothing. Each minute of this date was tearing your heart.

After the movie, you walk out of the theater to see Shūtoku's basketball team along with Takao in the lobby.

"HEY! Shin-chan! (First Name)-chan! How was the movie?" You hear Takao yelling across the lobby.

The both of you walk up to the team and greet them with a smile.

"The movie was amazing, it made me cry. You have to watch it!" You smile at Takao. You look over to see if Midorima is listening, but he is focused on talking to the other members.

"You look beautiful, (First Name)!"

"Wow, you look even cuter out of school uniform!"

The basketball team compliments you, but Midorima stands there with a blank expression—no signs of jealousy.

"Are you and Midorima on a date? Sorry if we interrupted." The captain apologizes.

"Not like I had any fun, it felt like more of a babysitting job than a date." His cold voice shoots through your heart. You couldn't hold it in anymore, and you broke into tears.

"Ugh! I-I can't take it anymore!" You scream. You run out of the movie theatre and head straight towards a nearby playground. You sit on the bench, crying your heart out. You couldn't believe that this was all happening.

You hear footsteps coming towards you, and as soon as they get closer, you hear someone panting. You looked up to see that it was the green-headed jerk that broke your heart.

You immediately get up to walk away, but he grabs your wrist and pulls you into a tight embrace.

"I'm sorry, nanodayo..." is all you heard. It has a hint of remorse in his tone.

"If you d-didn't want to be in a relationship with me, y-you should've just rejected my feelings from the be-beginning? Do you know how hard I've worked to look cute for you?! I just wanted you to notice me..." You choke back on your tears.

"That's not it, I accepted your feelings because I WANT to be with you.." He brings out tissues from your purse and wipes your tears.

"And you are cute. You're always beautiful to me, no matter what. You don't have to try to get my attention. I'm always watching you..."

"W-what..?" Your eyes widen with tears still flowing out.

He sighs.

"I'm sorry, I'm not good at showing my emotions. I'm not good at these things, especially regarding relationships..." He confesses. His face showed regret and sadness, you could really tell he wasn't kidding.

"I-its fine, Shin-chan. I understand..." You closed your eyes and smiled at him.

You feel something warm and soft pressing against your lip. You instantly open your eyes to see Midorima kissing you. You kiss him back and enjoy the sensation. It's the first time you two have kissed in your relationship.

"I love you, (First Name). I'll treat you better from here on out, I promise." He whispers in your ear.

"I love you too, you Tsun~"
