It's a bright, clear Sunday afternoon. You're doing homework until your dad decides to interrupt your learning mode.

"WOO! YEAH! GO!! GO DEFENSE!" You flinch.

Of course, your dad is watching his basketball games again. Not surprising since it's EVERY WEEKEND it airs. It's not like you've ever watched a basketball game before. You ARE the manager for Seirin's basketball team. But you were always interested in how to actually play. You've never even held a ball or threw one. You usually stood near Riko and helped with plans, but never interacted within games with the players.

That's when you decide to call your best friend, whom you secretly had a crush on, Kuroko Tetsuya, to teach you some basic skills.

"Hello." You hear his monotone voice on the line.

"Kuroko-kun, are you busy today?"

"No, not at all. Why, (First Name)-chan?"

"Can you teach me how to play basketball, please?"

"Sure." He says straightforwardly.

"Really?! Oh my gosh, thank you Kuroko-kun!" You're excited to learn something for once.

"Meet me at the basketball courts at the park near Maji Burger in ten minutes."

"Okay~" You hang up. You quickly run to get dressed. You don't own any sports attire, so you just toss on whatever you feel comfortable in. You go downstairs towards the door until your dad stops you before you can continue.

"Where are you going, (First Name)?" Your dad asks.

"I'm going out to see Kuroko-kun, he's going to teach me how to play basketball." You grin.

"Ugh you know I don't allow you to even be near boys, but since he's teaching you basketball - I guess it's acceptable. Have fun, Hun." You're surprised, usually, your dad wouldn't even let you look at boys. Maybe he's happy because his child is finally getting into his favorite sport.

-TIMESKIP-

"He said to be here in ten minutes...Where is he?" You say to yourself.

"(First Name)-chan..." Kuroko pops out of nowhere, scaring the crap out of you.

"W-WHA??! Kuroko-kun when did you get here?" You said trying to calm your racing heart.

"I've been waiting here the whole time."

"Damn that lack of presence, I thought I was used to it by now..." You think to yourself.

"Ah... I'm sorry Kuroko-kun. Okay, let's get started before it gets dark!" You say as you energetically jump around.

From all the jumping and spinning, you could've sworn you saw a small smile on Kuroko's face. It's so adorable, it made you a little nervous.

After all the explanations of basketball fundamentals, you feel like you finally get the gist of basketball.

"Alright (First Name)-chan, now try to shoot a three-pointer, please." Kuroko requests.

"Okay, here it goes." You nod. You take a deep breath in. This was your first time throwing a basketball, so you hope for the best. 

You shoot the ball with perfect formation... It goes in!

"OH MY GOSH, I DID IT! THAT WAS SO COOL!" You're screaming and jumping around in happiness and joy.

With all the excitement, you hug Kuroko without realizing it. You immediately blush and you try to pull away. But he traps you in his arms and embraces you.

"Good job, (First Name)-chan." He gives you a pat on the head.
