"That be better lass. Why don't i take ye out for a ride in me ship to familiarize yerself with these waters?" Briney politely offer, looking at you with his one black eye and still holding your hand. "Aye, that be soundin' peaceful and nice." you accept, realizing at the docks that here was a safe place for you and a quiet and serene one too. "Alrighty then! Climb aboard me ship, don't worry he doesn't bite." Briney assured you, helping you up into the ship and giving you a boost before climbing on himself when he untied the ship and told you to unfurl the  sail. You did as told and lowered the sail letting it flow in the wind and watched as Captain Briney went behind the wheel and got the ship moving. You looked at the waters and hummed a song to yourself, admiring the fishes and other sea creatures in the waters below you. The sailing was going fine and well until you saw....

Back to now...
While you and Captain Briney were sailing, you saw a mermaid with an octopus on her head and pink skin. She looked beautiful with her wide hips and almost looked thick to you. (Yes people THICC) you couldn't take your eyes off her and it felt like the world had stopped and only the mystery mermaid and you were the only ones in the water. Briney seemed to notice the dreamy lovesick look in your eyes and put a hand on your shoulder. "Aye,  ye noticed the sea lass out there,wading in the waters?" He asked you, curious to hear your response and you sighed lovingly, feeling your racing heart in your chest, answering him,"aye, i be seein' the beauty swimming in the waves, swaying those lovely hips with every movement she makes..." "she caught your eye?" "Aye captain. She be absolutely gorgeous. I be not takin' me eyes off her, ever." you proclaim confidently, not afraid of judgement and never letting the woman in the water leave your sight. "Oh, i be seein' what be goin' on. Ye be fallin' for the lass!" he announced, smirking and looking at you with a smug look on his bearded face and you turned toward him, squeaking and covering his mouth. "shhhhhh!!!!!!!! Don't let her hear you! O-ok m-maybe i am falling for her but i don't know her name yet and haven't gotten to know anything about her." you whisper-yell to the pirate, blushing furiously and feeling nervous that she heard him. You turned for a quick second to see she hadn't heard him and was just relaxing for the moment. "Don't worry, i'll introduce ye to the lass and help ye!" he loudly proclaimed and steered his boat near the giant woman in the water. "Aye, Maria! I be havin' a lass who wants to meet ya!" He shouted to her, hoping she would hear and head your way. She turned around and your jaw dropped to the deck at how beautiful she REALLY was. Beautiful blue eyes, dark greenish-blue eyeshadow, defined eyelashes, small pink lips, (*clears throat*) a rather large bust that you tried not to stare at, a flat but pudgy stomach, thick, wide hips, and a glistening green tail. You also noticed that she had two dark pink lines on her left arm. You weren't sure if they were her gills or scars but you decided to put it to the side for now as she swam over to the ship, looking down at you two. "Well hello Briney! And oh! Who's this little cute lady aboard your ship?" Maria asked curiously, your eyes as big as golf balls at how cute her voice was.

I was wading through the water, bored out of my mind until i heard voices and felt eyes on me. I turned a little,seeing a small h/c, s/c, f/c clad human on a ship with captain Briney, talking to him about something while looking at me with a look in her eye. I think it's a loving gaze. She's so cute and beautiful! Beautiful,  flawless s/c, soft looking h/t (hair type) hair styled in H/S with f/c dyed tips and 2nd f/c dye in her hair, f/c shirt,2nd f/c pants, f/c shoes, and beautiful e/c eyes. I could look at her all day. She's a living masterpiece and her voice is music to my ears. Even the cute way she blushes. I think they're talking about me because i hear tid bits of their conversation with "mermaid" and "sea lass" and even "giant woman" so i put two and two together. The girl appears to have a crush on me and thinks i'm pretty too. I then hear her tell him to be quiet in fear that i might hear, but truth is i already heard him say that she was falling for me. To be honest, i could say the same thing about her. We haven't met yet and i'm already daydreaming about dating her and making her my one and only love. She won't leave my thoughts and i don't want her to. I hear Briney call for me so i fully turn around and notice the mysterious girl's jaw dropped as she admired my appearance with an adoring look. She was tracing my frame with her eyes and immediately looked away when our eyes met, blushing furiously. I waded over to the two on the ship, mostly looking at the girl whose name i have yet to learn but i'm sure it's just as lovely as she is. "Well hello Briney! And oh! Who is this little cute lady aboard your ship?" i asked curiously, giggling and watching as the small girl's cheeks turn red as my attention was now on her.

Back to you

You blushed as the mermaid known as maria asked for your name. "O-oh! M-my name is Y/N. I-it's n-nice to meet you, m-miss Maria." you introduced yourself shyly, feeling her look you up and down as if she was inspecting you like a rare art piece in a museum. "Oh my!  Well aren't you cute? Also, my name is Cala Maria, the "sea maiden" of these waters as Briney likes to call me since these seas are my domain and i roam in them." she explained, smiling down at you and offering a large hand to you, making you look down at it before it finally clicked in your brain: she wanted to hold you in her hand to get a close up look at you without getting too close or leaning on the ship.

You blink, looking back and forth from her eyes to her hand before accepting her silent offer for a ride on her hand. "Don't worry, Briney, i'll give her a tour of these waters and spend time getting to know this darling human~" she confirmed with Briney that she would take over showing you around the ocean she swam in and spend time getting to know you and he agreed, taking his boat and sailing off until he was out of sight. "Oh. Um nice to meet you, c-cala Maria." you greeted her appropriately and asked where she was taking you and she told you she was showing you around. You climbed on her shoulder before she started moving again and as she moved further and further away from the docks, it got colder and the sweater you were wearing didn't give you much warmth. She seems to notice and held you close to her chest,sharing her body heat with you and keeping you warm while showing you all the parts of the ocean. While she was showing you around, she decided to play 20 questions in order for her to know you better and befriend you. "What's your favorite color?" she asked you and you replied,"f/c, what's yours?" She answered back,"Blue, favorite hobby?" you answered,"F/H" This kept going back and forth until you both knew each other well enough to become more than acquaintances: friends. By the time you two finished chatting about things you each liked and had in common, the tour was over and she brought you back to the docks and sat you down, leaning over to meet your height since you were smaller than her. You backed up a little so she could be comfortable. "Hehe you're a pretty great gal to hang out with! We should arrange a time to meet up again, maybe... Somewhere nice like in the forest or at a carnival or a nice restaurant to spend more time together." she stated nervously, her cheeks turning dark pink, imagining going out on a date  with you, giving you her first kiss on the third or fifth date if you got that far, asking you to be hers, etc. "Helloooo? Earth to Cala Maria! You ok, big gal?" you yelled, waving your hand in her lovestruck ,glazed over eyes to get her attention. She snapped out of it and seemed out of it. "H-huh? O-oh sorry! I didn't mean to space out. I was just thinking about-" you finished her sentence. " The date?  Is that what you were gonna say?" you asked shyly, blushing and thinking about it too. "Y-yeah, how'd you know?" she asked and you answered,"the look in your eyes told me that was what might be on your mind. Anyways, i was gonna ask is it gonna be like a date? I mean n-not like a date! I-i mean if you want it to be!" you stammered, stumbling over your words, blushing and covering your face shyly.  She giggles, hugging you to her chest and moving your hands away, lovingly caressing your cheek with her thumb. "It can be a date if you want to. We can meet at a restaurant or something..." she suggested , twiddling her thumbs and looking down at you. " sounds nice. How about tomorrow? Does that sound good to you?" You asked, holding her hand in yours. "Of course it does, cutie!" she giggles, hugging you and for the rest of the day, you and Cala Maria hung out and chatted with each other, building up a bond and building a foundation of trust.
