You were sitting on the couch in Dev's office and laid on your stomach watching him sign papers and make contracts. You sighed boredly and went to check on Cala maria to see her talking to Mugman. " oh hey Cala maria~" Mugman greeted the mermaid with a loving look in his eyes and she giggled, waving to him and catching him in her arms. "Hiya mugs! What brings you to the casino?" the mermaid interrogated the small cup and he pointed to cuphead, who was happily chatting away with KD and laughing at jokes that he told him. "Cup wanted to come here and dragged me with him. Oh! for you, my lady~" he said as he gave her flowers. You watched jealously as Mugs flirted with the love of your life, you finally knew why she got mad whenever the devil showed up and took you from her. You cleared your throat, walking toward them. "Morning boys, good to see you again" you greeted them through clenched teeth, growling at mugman. "Heya Y/N, great to see you again!" Cuphead greeted you back but mugman didn't hear you as he was too busy talking to Mari. "So, would you wanna go to the movies with me?" Mugman asked her and you were steaming, steam coming out of your ears and your face turning red with rage. He just asked your girl out on a date. You would be pissed if she said yes. "Um sure. But can Y/N come with us? I'd hate to go anywhere without her and i don't feel good about leaving her here with him." she begged him and mugman got nervous. "Well i only got 2 tickets... If she can find a way to get a ticket to the movies, she can come. But other than that, i'm afraid she can't come." he stated guiltily but at the same time, he was excited to spend time with his crush. You were furious but hid it from them with a calm look that would subtly twitch with anger and jealousy. "Oh... You don't mind me going to the movies with Mugman, do you?" your love had asked you, hoping you weren't disappointed that you couldn't come with them. "No...n-not at all! Have fun! I'll be f-fine" you reassured her through tightly clenched teeth, feigning a smile to convince her that you were ok. She smiled and kissed your cheek before leaving the casino. Once they were out of earshot and eyeshot, you screamed angrily and were twitching uncontrollably. You were pulling your hair, growling and pnting before you started angrily punching the floor. "Y/N! What's the matter?" KD and cup asked worriedly while standing next to you. Dev ran in as patrons looked at you with worry and ran over to you. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?! WHO DID THIS?! I WILL TAKE YOUR SOULS IF YOU ANGERED HER!" He bellowed with seething fury as he sat on his knees beside you. "ms. Y/N saw Mugman with the mermaid and that made her angry. Then he asked her out to the movies and couldn't go with them because he only had two tickets. She told them it was fine to go without her, obviously trying to hide the fact that she wanted to murder the boy for swooping in and taking her sweetheart from her." KD explained to the fuming devil and that added to his anger. Cuphead sweatdropped and gently patted your back. "It'll be fine. They're probably going as friends! No need to get jeal- oof!" he exclaimed as you grabbed him by the shirt. "He gave her flowers! He flirted with her! Complimented her and had hearts in his eyes! OBVIOUSLY HE ASKED HER OUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND TOOK HER!!!" you growled at the red cup, a terrifying and dangerous aura surrounded you. If you hadn't cared so much about how Mari would react, you would've shattered the boy the moment he gave her flowers and asked her out. "Good riddance! Now she can finally spend more time with m- where are you going?" He smugly beamed but asked as he saw you stomping toward the exit. "I'm going home. I don't wanna hang out anymore... Damn mug comes and steals my girl from me and sweeps her off her tail..." you grumbled angrily as you exited the casino with the slam of a door and ran home growling in fury. "GODDAMN IT!!!!" you screamed to no one before you started taking out your anger on anything you saw in range. Cuphead had followed you and was frightened at how angry you were. He wanted to cheer you up but didn't know how without getting his cup busted.

~meanwhile with cala maria and mugman~

Mugman and cala maria were sitting in the theater next to each other with a big bucket of popcorn and two drinks along with other snacks to munch on while watching the movie. When they both reached for popcorn, their hands touched and they both blushed. Cala Maria watched the movie, feeling disappointed and sad because you couldn't go with them, she watched the man and woman kiss and imagined it was her and you, feeling tears well up as she missed you horribly. "Hey Cala, what's wrong? Is this movie making you sad? If so, don't worry! They have a happy ending" he tried to cheer her up but it didn't work, she just sat there and cried through the movie thinking of you while eating the snacks sadly. When the movie was over and they ate all the food they bought, they left the theater with mugs enthusing about how great it was while the mermaid was in her own world. "Maria? Maria? Maria?! MARIA!" mugman called, trying to get her attention as he snapped his fingers in her face. "Huh? What?" she snapped out of her daze and looked at mugman. "I said what did you think of the movie! Are you ok?" He asked worriedly, grabbing her hand and squeezing it reassuringly, she nodded wiping her eyes. "Wanna get some ice cream? Or maybe we could go to the ocean? Or even go to the forest." He suggested and failed to notice the heartache when the word "forest"came out of his mouth. "N-no. L-let's just go get ice cream." she answered and flopped towards the ice cream parlor with mugs following after. They ordered what they wanted and ate with mugs trying to make conversation. Maria wasn't really contributing as she made small noises and short answers to whatever he said as he went on and on about anything that came to him. "Man! I wish cuphead were here! He would've loved some ice cream." mugman said but Maria wasn't listening to a word he said after a while. "Hmm. Let's go to the carnival! Lots of fun things to do there!" He offered and she went with it, heading to the carnival unaware that you and cuphead were already there to cheer you.
