DECK D – SECTION 9 CHARLIE, PORT LANDING BAY

UEC HEAVY BATTLE CARRIER – 798 "SPIRIT OF ENDURANCE"

"Open the door to airlock four." Barnes grabbed Crewmen Doyle and dragged him inside. "You're a sympathizer." Doyle had been interrogated, and tortured, but he wouldn't break. "Or a ESU operative, is that it, you gave us up?'

"I have nothing to say Jonathan."

"Its Commander to you Doyle." John kicked him, and he crumbled as he made a horrible sound as he exhaled. "You have only seconds, before I tell them to eject you out of this airlock." Doyle remained silent, and uncooperative. "Your choice." Barnes stepped out of the airlock, and sealed the door behind him, and made sure he could watch. He was responsible for a lot of deaths, the tribunal he set up with the crew had determined him guilty on all accounts, and crimes against Humanity. "Anything else you want to say?"

"Freedom, Honor, death to the UEC." Barnes nodded and the door to the outside of the ship opened, Doyle showed no fear, only pride.

"Its done." Barnes walked over to Kellen. She explained everything to him, their relationship, and how she had no idea. "Have you purged the virus yet?'

"I have only a few more subsections to go through. All systems should be good to go in a few days."

"Please! I beg of you, don't do this, what kind of man are you?" Barnes turned around and faced Doyle – if that was really his name.

"I'm a man who cares about his crew – his ship, and I won't let a Ini' destroy her. I have a conscience as well, and I am sure as hell won't let a person who destroyed out fleets live."

"Then I'll always be on your conscience Commander."

"No, because our crew, and myself, we are the last of the brave. We won't let a single person stop us from stopping the ESU from deploying that weapon."

"Then you – you will get yourself killed." Doyle said, as he looked straight into Barnes, almost to his soul. "For the ESU." Barnes turned around and looked at the person controlling the airlock door on the outside, he nodded, and he pressed the button. There was a large thunk as he struck the wall and was sucked out into space.

"Sir, I had no idea. I thought he was a good guy."

"You slept with your subordinate, you know how much shit you would be in if we were in our own space right?"

"Yes, Sir. I am aware of that, we've – we were together for a while. He transferred aboard because of me, but I guess that was because he wanted to kill us all. I will finish purging the computer of the virus, and getting all systems up and running, Sir."

"Thanks. And Lucy, I slept with my subordinates before I married my wife, so no big deal. We all tend to sleep around, quite interesting."

"At least we no longer have STI's, those were cured a hundred years ago."

"Thank god."

Kellen around her quarters, they were still a mess from when she and Doyle got it on. For a year, she had been sleeping with the enemy. A thing she regrets, but she never let him know her command codes, or computer codes, and yet – he still managed to hack into the ships systems and get the security codes, as if she had done it herself. She glanced up at his computer and saw the camera light on. A person was on the other end, a voice she didn't recognize.

"Doyle, are you there. You failed your mission. Doyle?" She walked behind the computer and grabbed a cord and inserted it inside, and traced the transmission.

"Location 234598728, Delphic Expanse," she muttered under breath, as she transmitted it up to the CIC for Commander Barnes to read, it looks like it was the She reached over the table and shut the lid, cutting of all transmissions.

"Kellen, there was an active transmission coming from 234598728, it was from your quarters." She grabbed he phone from the side of the wall.

"Yes Sir. It's Doyle's computer, he had a long-range sub wave transmitter. It's probably piggy-backing off of the ESU's transmission satellites."

"Okay, go through his computer, see if there is anything you can get on the ESU and their plans."

"Understood Sir." She sat down at the desk and opened his computer up, and began grazing through files, thousands of them, all with various ship status, and crew reports. On his desktop was a picture of her – he did love her, but she couldn't love a mass murderer. Several files were regarding Commander Barnes, and his home world, every available security network around every planet. Earth, Ticonderoga, Axanar, Arcadia, Rigel IV, Meridian, Drekicon IX, even Talos III, the main Coalition planet, the entire coalition. There were hundreds of worlds that were colonized under their control, but those if attacked would downright cripple the UEC, if Earth was attacked, there would be a unconditional surrender, several well planet nukes would do that as well.

Another file came up, and it had schematics for the weapon. Listed as Phase Weapon Prototype. She leaned in towards the computer looking at every detail, he had everything, their plan. Kellen reached over and grabbed the handset from the wall and pulled up the CIC.

"Get me Commander Barnes now."

Admiral Chang stood in the bridge of the Phase Weapon, after two tests it proved to be effective – too effective in his own mind. They meant it to completely wipe out all life on their colonies, to strip them of their atmosphere, and insight fear in the United Earth Coalition. They were a resilient people, instead of fearing them more, they are trying to create phase cannons to help combat them, but having a hyper-alloy a super strong diurutanium alloy, powerful, and damn near indestructible, unless using weapons that can destroy all of San Francisco in several seconds. Once the last test is done, they would go into their territory, going after all the Coalition planets, that are UEC controlled, and cripple their military, and then go for Earth. Once Earth is out of the question they would have to unconditionally surrender to them, give up their way of life, and give in to Totalitarianism.

"Admiral, weapons new focusing beam is in place, where is out next testing area?"

"Rogue Planet 3, in this system."

"Aye Sir, realigning the ship." The ship moved under their own weight, the only thing that will be impossible to fix is the issues with the inertial dampers, and gravity plating.

"Sir, weapons are locked, and we are ready to fire if 15 seconds."

"Fire when ready." Change leaned on the center console and watched as all the systems power was drawn to the weapons core.

"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1. Firing." In front of his eyes, he watched as the gold laser pulsed from the ship, and struck the planet. The atmosphere of the planet was ripped away. He continued to look at the readings and saw massive electron instability throughout the planet.

"Is it stabilizing?"

"No, Sir. But we have 100% effectiveness." The Planet right in front of them began to dissolve, and turn to nothing, it was just dust, atoms, and then nothing. The weapon is gone. "Destruction of the Planet, no evidence left." It was never meant to be a planet destroying weapon,"

"Unbelievable. Its 120% effective, there was actually a massive temporal slip, its like the planet was never there."

"What?"

"The temporal gradient of the planet it – it's just gone. It should have taken ten times as long to degrade, everything leaves a temporal wake when time-space is disrupted. Every time we use this weapon we are breaking the laws of reality, the law of conservation of mass is broken, the electrons when broken down release massive amounts of energy, and it causes a chain reaction, thus the planets full electron field is disrupted and with no electron field, the planets atoms break down."

"So your saying, when we use this weapon, it breaks the laws of reality, and more or less space time?"

"Yes, I think if we make certain calculations we can potentially create a temporal wake. Theoretically it could erase a entire planet from space-time, effecting the entire balance of reality."

"Brilliant, if we plan it – in theory we can completely undo the entire UEC."

"Sir, I would advise against us, because it would affect our history as well. Generations may not exist." If the repercussions of such a weapon was not so severe, he would use it. The attacks would have to be so precise it would be near impossible to do. Earth would have remained unscathed, if they destroyed its past, present, and future, then all of mankind would cease to exist. All of history erased. "The only way to survive it if we created temporals shielding and that is beyond our technology."
