Chapter 21

We walked back to the facility slowly. Asriel kept his head down. I couldn't read his expression. Was he mad? Scared? Both? I didn't know.
"Umm how you feeling?" I questioned breaking the silence. He looked up. Tears were on the brink of spilling.
"I...I don't know what to think," he muttered. "I'm scared he's going to come back and kill me." I clenched my fists. I, too was scared of that. I had to keep my cool. However, it was hard to be courageous without the Triforce.
"I doubt he'll come back so soon," I told him, anger in my voice. "If he dose, he'll have to get through all of us." Asriel smiled.
"Maybe we should talk about what happened before we go back home." I sighed. Sometimes, what you want to talk about, isn't what you want to talk about. We sat down on a log.
"It is true. I'm also Aqua." A tear came down my face. I hated crying and this wasn't the way I wanted anyone to find out.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He questioned. There was something in his voice, besides anger. Curiosity perhaps?
"Honestly Azzy, I didn't remember our first meeting. As Aqua, I couldn't remember what happened. I'd usually wake up from my excursions feeling odd. Like I was sleepwalking. When you mentioned your amnesia I remembered our meeting. Over time, I remembered when I was Aqua. I only could intentionally trigger Aqua once when Tails and Bowser Jr. were in danger. Even then, it seams Aqua was like a person of her own. Which she was."
"What do you mean?" Asriel asked.
"As I did more research, I found out she was her own person at one point in time." That was mostly true. However I hadn't done research, Aqua and I had a conversion the night before. "Aqua could wield a Keyblade, a powerful sword only some can summon. From what I know, Keyblades chose their wielders. Not the other way round. Aqua was one of the last people to become a master."
"Master? What dose that mean?"
"Keyblade wielders had to take a test in order for them to become masters. Then, they can pass on the Keyblade to someone new. The cycle continued."
"What happened to her?"
"She died in a war. Not sure how."
"I see." He was silent for a second. "I'm guessing you don't want me to tell the others." I nodded.
"Let's keep it between us please." He smiled and nodded.
"Any other questions?"
"Two. Where were you raised? How did you meet the others?" I clenched my fists harder. Had to keep myself, I couldn't hold it back. Tears came down my eyes.
"I'm sorry I never meant to-"
"It's... it's okay. Just... Gannondorf kinda broke me." I wiped tears away. "I lived in a kingdom called Hyrule. Grew up there. I didn't have parents but was raised by the captain of the Hyrule army, Impa. She was my mentor, trained me since I was 5. Over time, she became like a mom to me. I was taught manners, history, music, and even was a bodyguard to the princess, Zelda. Zelda too was like a parent. She was a kind ruler and always looked out for her people. Me included."
"So, what happened?" This is the part where I really got both angry and where I was most likely to cry.
"About four months ago, a army of monsters attacked. The Hyrule army, me included, tried to fight them off. We were winning then, a large lizard creature appeared. We tried to take it out, but it was nothing more than a distraction. The army took Hyrule castle. Worse, both Zelda and Impa were missing. I spent hours looking for them. I was unable to. I ran away. I was ashamed but I ran. A snow storm blew through and I was trapped in a cave. In the cave, I found Tails out cold. I took care of him until he woke up. He led me to the facility once the snow storm cleared. There, I learned about how he, Amy, and Bowser Jr were Pure Hearts too."
"I...I'm so sorry," Asriel said once I finished.
"It's okay. I'm still looking for them." I grabbed his hand. "We should get back home." He nodded. By the time we got home, the sun was mostly set. I grabbed a shower. I wanted nothing more than to sleep forever. I knew the peace wouldn't last.

"Rhion! Wake up!" A panicked voice woke me up. I grabbed for the lamp to turn on the light.
"Midna? What's going on?" I asked sitting up and rubbing my eyes. She looked terrified.
"It's Tails. He's gone!"
"What?" I sprung out of bed and ran with her to his room. Sure enough, the sheets were uncovered and he was gone.
"Did you check everywhere?" She nodded.
"I checked the security cameras. He isn't anywhere. He didn't leave his room or go outside." We didn't have any cameras in our rooms for privacy reasons. I checked his nightstand for anything that could be a clue. Sure enough, a note was on his stand.
I've taken your friend to the Valley of Seers. Come find him, if you value his life. I didn't even need to know who had signed it. I growled lowly.
"What's up?" Midna asked. I showed her the note. "Who could have-"
"Gannondorf." I interrupted her. "Asriel and I met him today. He took Tails. I have to go after him."
"I'm coming too."
"Midna I can't-"
"No Rhion, that wasn't a request. I'm coming and there is nothing you can do to stop me. Unless you want to fight." I sighed. Midna was extremely stubborn.
"Alright, let's go." I grabbed a map, got dressed, and we snuck out to save our friend.

Wow long chapter again. Eh didn't matter. We're almost done anyways. Bye!
