"But you still need to be careful."
————————————————
No ones going to be safe tonight, it'll be a miracle if no one gets hurt. But considering not all the players threw away their glass bottles said enough about what's happening tonight. Ji-hye decided to keep a sharp piece of glass and hid it in her pocket.
"We can't fall asleep tonight. Anything can happen after the lights go out." Sang-woo said "Those guys are definitely up to no good." Sang-woo looked over to the group of thugs. "If anyone gets attacked, we have to stick together and fight. Come over to our side if anything happens." Sang-woo patted Ali's shoulder
"All right." Ali nodded his head
"You too Ji-hye, you should probably stay around us." Sang-woo turned his head back, watching Ji-hye just sit there fiddling with her fingers.
"All the beds close to you are taken. But, if I need something I'll just come to you." Ji-hye smiled weakly at him. She was feeling exhausted. Not having enough sleep and a normal meal made her feel weak.
"It won't be that safe to be by yourself without any weapons."
"I'm not weak Sang-woo, I didn't learn how to fight or defend myself for nothing. Besides, it really doesn't matter how strong the person is. It all depends on how you think about it because you can outsmart a stronger person."
"But you still need to be careful." Ji-hye just nodded and closed her eyes. "Ji-hye?" Sang-woo stood up and went to sit beside her. "We only have five minutes until the lights go out."
"Then I'll sleep those five minutes." Ji-hye was so exhausted that leaning on a metal railing will be the most comfortable spot.
-
Ji-hye's eyes opened when she heard the robot counting down by ones. She didn't sit up but just looked around, she was laying down on her bed, wrapped around the covers. Ji-hye last remembered that she was falling asleep on the bed railing. Sang-woo or somebody else must've carried her to bed.
The lights went out. It was nothing but pitched black. Ji-hye heard some hard breathing and shuffling going around. But all of sudden there was a scream of a woman and organs getting sliced. Ji-hye quickly sat up and saw the murderer of the women was just a couple beds away from her. More screaming came out of the player and the whole room felt like a nightmare. This was going to be a bloody massacre.
Ji-hye just remained sitting on her bed, she didn't know what to do because if she ran she would be chased by killers but if she also stayed in place she would even die easier. Flashing began to play in the room, it was a bright flash. Ji-hye felt her bunk falling down but she quickly jumped off but landed on her side. What a dumbass mistake. She grunted in pain. She got up quickly trying to find Sang-woo. But it was difficult, trying to see in a room that was flashing kept ruining Ji-hye's vision. She groaned in pain when she got hit in the back with a metal railing. She kept on getting beat with it, it will for sure leave marks. Ji-hye grabbed the nearest bed sheet and tripped the person with it. Ji-hye quickly got up and before she could suffocate the person, Sang-woo grabbed her arm.
"So much for defending yourself." He said before pulling Ji-hye to where the rest of the group was. He pulled Ji-hye beside him and held her closely to him.
"Well if you couldn't see I was trying, those metal railing hurt more than getting heart broken." As they were walking fast, Ji-hye saw player sixty-seven getting approached by one hundred one team members. She quickly got out of Sang-woo's holding and ran, jumping over dead bodies and grabbed the guy who was about to stab player sixty-seven. She used the bed sheet to her advantage and began to choke the guy with it. Another guy came behind Ji-hye and broke the glass bottle on her head. She fell on the floor holding on to her head, it was pounding and Ji-hye felt like she was going to pass out.
Sang-woo ran up to the guy who broke a glass on Ji-hye's head and began to beat him with the railing. Ji-hye got up slowly; grabbing the sharp piece of glass out of her pocket and using it to cut the person's leg. He yelled in pain, Sang-woo grabbed Ji-hye putting her behind him. Ji-hye looked up and saw she was behind Sang-woo, Ali, and Gi-hun.
"Hey, Ssangmun-dong. Why are you butting in? Fewer people is good for you too." Player one hundred one laughed, Gi-hun put Player sixty-seven behind her and stepped up
"She's on our side too."
"Damnit."
"Please, stop!" The old man yelled "I'm... scared." He cried "At this rate, we'll all die! Everyone is going to die! I'm so scared. Stop it! If you keep going like this, everyone will die!" The flashing light went away, a buzz was sound and the front doors opened. Guards walked in and one guard began to shoot at the Ceiling, everyone panicked.
"Drop your weapon. Turn around." Everyone did as they said. The guards patted on everyone's body to see if they had any weapons left.
-
Ji-hye's head felt like it was still spinning and all she wanted to do was just sleep. Ji-hye just laid her head on her lap, her eyes felt heavy. Sang-woo tapped on her to make sure she was okay and not dying.
"Ji-hye, don't go to sleep you can have a concussion."
"Well that glass shattering on my head is a pain in the ass." Ji-hye lifted her head up. "But I really don't understand how it could hurt so much."
"Are you feeling better?" Gi-hun looked over at Ji-hye
"Kinda, my head still feels like it's spinning."
"I would get you ice if they had a cooler somewhere. I hope you feel better."
"Thanks."
"Are you alright?" Gi-hun looked over at the old man
"What?"
"When did you climb all the way up there? It's not safe."
"We were worried because we couldn't find you." Ali said
"Well, it's a relief none of us, well some of us aren't badly hurt." Ji-hye smiled at the group
"Why don't we take this opportunity to exchange names? Come to think of it, we don't even know each other's names."
"I know your name. Ssangmun-dong." Ali smiled confidently, Gi-hun smiled
"Ssangmun-dong is the town I live in. My name is Seong Gi-hun. Seong Gi-hun from Ssangmun-dong." Ali smiled embarrassed, Sang-woo looked down at Ali
"What's your name?"
"Ali. Ali Abdul." He smiled
"Which country are you from?" Ji-hye asked
"Pakistan."
"Pakistan?" Gi-hun asked "Where is that?"
"Right above India." Sang-woo answered
"That's right."
"Of course." Gi-hun smiled like a proud father at Sang-woo "This guy here graduated from Seoul University, Business-."
"I'm Cho Sang-woo." He interrupted Gi-hun. Ji-hye just laughed to herself.
"I'm Jae Ji-hye." She turned around to see player sixty-seven. "What's your name?"
"Do I have to say?"
"We're on the same side now. We at least need to know each other's names to build a bit of trust."
"Kang Sae-byeok."
"Sae-byeok? That's a beautiful name."
AUTHOR- hey! How are you guys today? :)
