Dear Alex,

Happy Valentine's Day! Can you believe it? It's the first year we got to spend Valentine's Day together, we went to the beach and you brought a picnic basket, I brought us some paintings to do.

I dared to asked you if we were a couple or if you thought of us that way. You did think about it for a moment, not because you didn't know but because you already had someone.

You apologized for the evening but you said you wanted to hang with a friend during this day, that your boyfriend could wait, when I asked you if it was Luke, you said yes, that you two just started dating a week ago. Believe me, I am happy for you two, I just wish he treats you well, which I know he will.

I won't lie to you, the moment I came home, I started crying, maybe I shouldn't have gotten too attached to you and my hopes up but where's the fun in that right?

Anyways, I do hope that Luke treats you well and makes you smile, cause your smile is so beautiful and lights up everyone's life.
