"Well... I'm afraid of being in love."
Jimin said leaning against the wall.

His short pink hair was turning peachy with the sunlight that kissed him.

"Why?"

Rose shot her head towards him. Her silver hair that was of the palest shade of purple danced in the wind that flew through the rooftop. The orange sun rays that crept through it made her look somewhat ethereal.

Her eyes met Jimin's and stayed there for a while. Jimin did not answer.

"Are you afraid that you would fall for someone else after falling in love?"
She asked smiling offering her drink to Jimin. She straightened her back and sat with her legs crossed closer to him.

"I... I don't know. I don't wanna go through a heartbreak. What if I happened to fall in love with the wrong person?"

"Well! Then you break up silly!"
Rose laughed and leaned back against the wall looking up at the sky.

Two birds flew over them in circles.
"How you like that?" Rose asked.

"Sour!"
Jimin said returning the drink while making a face and Rose laughed.

"You have no idea how lucky you are. At least you can have the one that you like!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"
Jimin suddenly turned towards his friend, who had an uncomfortable smile on her face.
Jimin instantly knew that smile. It did not quite reach her eyes.

"What is it?"
He asked softly.
"You can tell me if you want. And keep it all to yourself if you want as well."

He smiled looking into her eyes.

"Well. I'm in love with someone I can never have."
Rose said casually looking down at her drink before drinking all of it in one go.

She gave him a toothy smile but Jimin knew that it was filled with sadness that she had compressed in her heart.

Jimin did not ask her anything. Opening bottled up feeling could hurt. He knew that better than anyone else.
He remembered how much his stepdad cried when he asked him about his wife.
He did so just out of curiosity but Namjoon's reactions destroyed him.

"If you want you can tell me about it. But it's perfectly fine if you don't wanna!"

He stretched his hand towards Rose for her to grab it.

"So I've got something to tell you. I hope it doesn't change anything between us. And you have to promise me to never to say this to anyone."

She said taking Jimin's hand.

"I promise you, Rose. Ugh, I can't believe this, have I not proved to you that I'm a worthy friend? Aaahh my poor heartu!"

Jimin scolded her in a dramatic manner making Rose laugh.

"Stooop!"

She yelled at him while laughing and her laughter slowly faded away.

Jimin looked away from her with his hand still firmly hiding hers.

"I like girls!"
She said.

"Cool"
He said.

There was a moment of silence.

"That's all?"
Jimin asked.

"Yeah."
Rose looked at him answering with a look of bewildering on her face.

"Wait! I'm confused." She said tilting her head to the side. "This ain't supposed to be this easy!"

She laughed and Jimin joined her.

"You are happy now? You don't look as bothered as you used to."
Jimin said smiling.

"Yeah"
She said turning to her bag.

"Do you wanna have some mochi?"

She said holding a container that looked cute.

"Yes," said Jimin. Though he was curious about Rose and her situation he did not feel like digging into it.

"Time will heal everything for you Rose."
He thought to himself.
